I kinda think one thing I didnt like about Batman v Superman was... all the special effects... ... im not a big fan of the dark knight movies but to me theyre GOOD movies (contradictory I know... I dont like them but theyre good movies???)... in those... you dont see many special effects... they made the batmobile and the bat... bat suit??? When they do use them theyre kinda hidden also... Batman v superman had like soooo many action sequences which were just all made electronically and it took some meaning out of it... its kinda the same with marvel movies... im not saying they should make an actual iron man suit but I think id prefer movies to use less special effects as a whole... My favorite scene in Batman v Superman is the one where Batman takes on all the goons in the warehouse while looking for supermans mom ... its a beautiful but simple action sequence and its well made... when its an indestructible cgi character fighting 2 other indestructible cgi characters... meaning is kind of lost??? Batman was the best part of Batman v Superman for me... id say Wonderwoman because I LOVE Gal Gadot but I just didnt understand... who she was in a way??? I didnt like the bat suit though it just looked wrong... I liked the big heavy one with the glowing eyes that was so cool but not the standard one I dont think

Last movie I saw in theatres was Star Trek Beyond in Barco Escape. It was a bit different watching it on panoramic screens, but I enjoyed the movie.
And on Blu Ray DVD, I watched Furious 7. Nice tribute to the late Paul Walker. Makes me want to watch the previous six movies again.

Terrible as in so shitty that it's funny or just plain terrible? Just bad bad. Painfully unfunny at times, which was really disappointing. I like those actress', I wanted to like it but I just couldn't. I actually laughed my ass off at it and thought it was just as funny as the original but you know just in a different way. It also helped that I never seen Melissa McCarthy or Paul Fiig's other films and I never even heard of the others. I'm currently watching the original The Lion in Winter overall it's a good movie but you have got to be in the right mood for it. It's interesting to see a young Anthony Hopkins and a very young Timothy Dalton.

Last movie I saw in the cinema was the new Ghostbusters. It was terrible. I want to see this just to find out if it's as bad as people say it is. My IMDB requirements are at least five stars that I will watch a movie which ghostbusters passed.

Seeing how much it was getting flamed on the interwebz (alot of it was over the top tho) I had to experience it for myself. I can't recommend it to anyone tho, if you can rip it online you'd save your money at least.

For people in the mood for a lesser known gem of a sci-fi thriller I recommend Coherence. Minimalist set, very interesting premise that's well executed.

^I LOVE Grand Budapest Hotel. It's so off-kilter and surprising that its goofy. Great acting all around and given the overall tone of the film the dialogue is quite unexpected.
My last theater experience was Suicide Squad. Overal 6/10 tops it was miscast with several characters, Will Smith as Deadshot being the prime example. He got some parts of the character down but it's so distracting with how little he wears the mask. Dumb. Margot Robbie was great as Harley but they tried to make her greater and crazier than what she is and those deleted scenes really captured what her relationship to the Joker is really like. I knew Leto would be a great Joker and while he's not nearly as intimidating as Heath Ledger's take he does have a great presence about him. Can't wait to see him in more DCU stuff. Still, it's off to a rocky start after they struck gold with me on Man of Steel.

After 17 years. My first impressions and expressions were Huh, cringe, "stupid scenes" and laughs caused by its stupidity. Until I know some characters. The acting was: Awful Batman OK Robin Not bad Freeze Good Poison Ivy Awful Bane At least its good music soothes its awfulness! The plot and story are interesting but the execution is unimpressive, bad... but I can think about worse than this! 4/10

Just rewatched Avengers again so I got a question and I dont wanna go through a gazillion of Marvel movies to learn the answer. So how did Tesseract end up on Earth? Who the fuck was stupid enough to let earthling monkeys lay their hands on such a powerful device?

Odin?
I don't actually recall. I know Red Skull found it in Norway during WW2 and it was the centrepiece of his 'destroy the world' plan and then lost when Cap went into the ice.
But how it got here in the first place? Sorry - other than Odin did it, I've got no idea.

Just watched Legend. where tom hardy plays twin brother gangsters in england in the 50's-60's. It's great...the brothers are polar opposites and its hilarious..I recommend you give it a shot. I also, just tried to watch London Has Fallen...horrible after 25 minutes changed the channel.

Yup, Batman v Superman is terrible (duh) and Suicide Squad is kinda meh (just watched it). Seems like Marvel won the war that didn't even started properly 'cause their opponent came armed with sticks and stone axes. Honestly I really enjoyed Batman VS Superman, I started watching it with a negative mindset and I guess that is why I was ultimately impressed by it. I hadn't seen Man of Steel so I had no clue on what to expect. Also I watched the director's cut version, so I don't know if this is significantly better than the original one. Being used to Marvel as the stardard for superhero movies, I was surprised by how this DC movie was darker, meaner, cheerless, tense and generally lacking in terms of comic relief. It felt like a more adult-oriented movie and I hope they keep the next ones this way. For me it beats any recent Marvel movie except for the X-men ones. As for Suicide Squad, I haven't watched it yet and I cannot say that I am eager to watch it.

As for Suicide Squad, I haven't watched it yet and I cannot say that I am eager to watch it. It's not about childish vs adult. People (including me) usually hate new DC movies because they lack solid storyline, have huge plot holes and being generally boring. BvS has all of that. Character's motivation is ridiculous, Lex's plan is a fucking mess, and we have, like, 5 minutes of BvS fight in the 3 hrs movie! And Wonder Woman has too much screen time for a cameo yet not much time to be important. She just... goes here and there and then comes to fight that cave troll. She's in the movie just as part of the Justice League promoting campaign. Lots of people hoped to see a battle between two greatest comic superheroes of all time (sorry Marvel, but this is just a fact). They got 3 hours of boring journalism, useless Lois investigations, and moronic Batman dreams instead.

I agree with the OP that the DC movies are going to be dogshit for the foreseeable future. Seems the Nolan trilogy is the last great iteration of Bruce Wayne, but I am ok with that. Also some other trash from this year are Ghostbusters, X-Men: Apoc & (You'll wanna commit)Suicide Squad
Good films I've seen in cinemas recently are the Lobster, Kubo & the 2 Strings and Marvel's Civil WarLooking forward to Dr. Strange & the Lucasfilm anthology flick: cbr.imgix.net/2016/09/topps7.jpg?auto=format&lossless=1&q=40&w=700&h=899&fit=crop

I've recently watched Leafie - A Hen into the Wild. It is a film from South Korea that is gorgeously animated, has a likable protagonist and has a surprisingly mature handling of topics like the cycle of life and death. It is hard to describe how without giving away the ending, though.
If you are a fan of animation and like a good story then I can heartily recommend this.
I should note that the English dub apparently left much to desire and most over sea versions apparently edited out scenes like the ending so this is a film I recommend watching a subtitled version that either has the ending or following up with watching the ending on youtube.
