Pretty much all the weirder dreams I've had are frustrating in nature. Last night I was solving an extremely difficult sudoku in my dream and I got so grumpy that I woke up, and decided to solve a few sudokus irl until I fell asleep Damn, that's passion for real; solving sudoku awake AND asleep.

DREAMS
Jun 17, 2020 0:14:05 GMT
Post by B. Hieronymus Da on Jun 17, 2020 0:14:05 GMT
This dream had some uncommon (for me) ingredients. I don't remember it all so I'll just give you the essentials.
I was about my own age (normally, in my dreams I'm young, fit and strong). I and a small group of friends or associates were attending some big graduation ceremony. Don't know why. Maybe someone knew somebody or somebody's child. Anyway, a huge crowd, and it dragged out until it became dark.
Afterwards, breaking up, there was some trouble in the night. I tried and apparently succeeded - though there were some frustrating moments finding everyone and keeping them all together for longer than two seconds - in disengaging my group and pull out. We had problems crossing a street with heavy traffic, but made it in the end and trotted away in the dark.
The events weren't finished though. Next on the program was a big reception or banquet. We entered this big building with a big fancy hall, with chandeliers and everything. We had to queue in a line and were introduced to another line of people, standing there facing us as we are passing by in the entrance.
Now it gets weird. As I notice how well dressed those other people are, I suddenly also become aware of that I'm completely naked. People look at me with stiff, uncertain smiles. Particularly the women have very stiff smiles.
As I pause, standing there, exchanging 'pleasantries' with people who are assumingly hosting this event, I follow their glances and note that I'm covering my private parts with something. And I realize that that something happens to be a pistol in my right hand. It's some kind of stainless double action auto pistol, 9 or .40, probably old S&W.
I get annoyed at myself. It seems so undignified. I'm nude and there's nothing I can do about it, so I'm just going to play it cool. I stop covering myself and just hold the gun in my hand hanging straight down. I mean, WTF, the Spartans didn't wear pants.
But the situation just becomes even more awkward. Because now I'm this guy with a gun in my hand. The fact that I'm also naked doesn't do things better, but the gun in my hand stands out. I then realize that everybody in my entire group is naked, women too. And that all of us has a gun in our hand, the women too.
I get to have a few thoughts along the theme of, - what will happen when security comes and how do I explain this to the police? before I wake up, but that's basically it. I wake up.

Last night I dreamed I was exploring an island, my family was there as well but they stayed in the hotel, it was only me who did the exploring. I remember I had my backpack with me and hiked down a breathtakingly beautiful valley. Untouched beautiful nature as far as my eyes could see, with sheer rock faces, waterfalls and wooded hills...it was magnificent. The last detail I remember from my dream was that I looked at my phone and it showed ''no signal''. I smiled and continued hiking.

I had a dream the other day about visiting the beach with some family, and suddenly discover that my wallet, containing all my cards, licenses and ID, and my keys, including keys to my workplace and a second property, and my car keys had been stolen. - And right, I soon discovered the car was stolen too. As I pondered how much work and time it would be to recover from the mess, I had that amusing thought: "- Oh, if this was just a bad dream. But <sigh> it's of course not. Calm down. Don't kill anyone. The consequences aren't worth it." When I woke up, I had that second thought: "Oh, it really was a dream after all!? - I don't have a mess on my hands! - Cool!"
Then I had a dream about family and friends visiting, and me cooking for them. After six days they rejected my food and protested vocally. Me: "But I hardly used any garlic and habanero at all?" Them: "Six days of fish!!!" (Two days of Cod and four days of Mackerel.) Me: "Yea. I'm experimenting to invent a new Mackerel recipe. I'm thinking the skin should just drop off, and the bones should just push out by themselves. I'm almost there. More butter and a few moments longer next time." Them: "No next time."

I was walking in a city and (for some reason) needing a cop. I came upon a female officer kneeling and talking to some kids. She was the police (I just knew this for a fact), but she was dressed more like a firefighter, with heavy pants and suspenders, no coat, and a hard hat like construction workers. The belt was heavy with the normal stuff, gun, nightstick, radio, tazer and more. But the helmet was also full of stuff. Night goggles like a soldier, lamp plus IR, ear phones with an antenna, and a GoPro. But these things are just details I recollect. Maybe she was in some riot gear. In the dream I didn't care or find it out of the ordinary. She was just the police.
She was finished with the kids and straightened up. I asked her something urgent (I do not remember what, or if even that detail was in the dream at all). She spoke for a while, gesticulated and pointed in an angle upwards.
And here we come to the crux. I didn't understood a word she was saying. It sounded like english alright, but I couldn't make it out. So I was like excuse me, could you repeat that. She did, and I still couldn't understand a single word. There was something that sounded like "...bop" but that was all I got. You probably get the 'dream theme' now. It went downhill from there. I woke up before she tazed or arrested me, but I couldn't get anything understandable out of her. It was as if she were speaking in tongues.

Well This is another Mass Effect nightmare. I was actually a Cerberus Phantom looking into information into the Lost Colonies and there was a colony that looks like a weird blend of Freedom Progress and Benning at nightmare with a nasty downpour of rain. I was battling Reaper Forces in addition heavily armored black mercenaries and I found an survivor named Lay'la. While i was escorting her out of the hot zone, she was fighting back against Reaper Indoctrination. She with her biotics taken the eyes of Reaper Marauder and he was shocked that she did that and me and him look at each other and he slide into the shadows before I could kill him. Well Due to Lay'la's injuries, I asked her before she passed out if I could convert her to a Cerberus Phantom to save her life and she consented to the conversion and I put her into a medically induced coma and used my Phantom's nano machines for the basis for a Batch of nano machines to convert her into a Cerberus Phantom.

I suppose because I recently watched Alita Battle Angel for the 50th time...last night I had a dream that was very eerily close to the scene near the ending where Hugo gets cut up by the Defense Ring....except in my dream rather than a male Cyborg it was ahuman girl. Blonde hair, green eyes. In my dream I happened upon her body in the junk yard (like Doc Ido did with the torso that would become Alita)
I woke up from the dream, feeling a strange weight in my arms (as if I was carrying her) and I had a dried tear s streak down my left cheek.

I had a long, detailed and almost rational adventure dream again. It has been months since last, and I almost figured I had stopped dreaming those. Anyway, it wasn't terribly interesting and it is a lot to type, so I won't bother you. But one thing that I figured noteworthy: It figured a woman I knew a long time ago and haven't thought about since. Why did she pop up, all of sudden?

I had a weird, confused dream, that featured a race across an ocean to get to my University - which turned out to be my College - in time. In time for what, I have no idea. Wasting valuable minutes visiting a friends family, things turned critical. It was solved by car. Or cars. A Porsche inside the cabin of a Mercedes (yes the Mercedes was very large, but the Porsche fit very snuggly). At the school I couldn't get out, because the Porsche and Mercedes doors and windows blocked each other. I woke up. By the way, the Porsche was yellow and the Mercedes silver grey.

DREAMS
Jan 22, 2021 2:40:56 GMT
Post by B. Hieronymus Da on Jan 22, 2021 2:40:56 GMT
Some days ago and last night, I had some dreams that had me sitting and thinking a long time before getting up and making coffee.
Both dreams were pretty linear and continuous "stories". But I don't intend to recount them. Because the weird thing, to me, was not the story, but the situations they threw me back into.
The first one dialed me all the way back into childhood, maybe 8-10 years old. Can't say that I remember that has happened before. Afterwards, I was quite surprised how accepting I had been about being a child. But there was also this thing about my relation to other kids, my friends. They seemed to look to me for something, expecting something from me. And I was bothered and uncomfortable. Awake, I was thinking back to my childhood, and wondering if there could be something, some basis for those feelings.
In my dreams, I'm almost always young, strong, whole and uninjured. Like roughly in my 20s or 30s. Sometimes, in a few dreams, I know in my mind - at least for moments -, that I'm older, and can think thoughts or express opinions, that have something to do with me being more mature and experienced. But even then that usually don't reflect on my body, that stays 30-something. I've often wondered why this is, but I suppose it comes of how I frankly never consider or think about age. The old: "In my head I'm still 18", though that is not exactly true either.
Anyway, the other dream also put me into situations that I had to think about, after I woke up. This time I possessed these amazing, magical, heroic leadership qualities. I very successfully created order, getting our act together, and making things right and in the right way. Awake, I was kinda shocked by the delusional megalomaniac taste of it. Also dreams usually have at least some trace of frustration in them. Not this time. Again, I had to think back and wonder how that got into my head enough to emerge as a dream.

I suppose it's because I"ve been playing a lot of ME 3 lately, and writing my Mass Effect story about Shepard's life on the streets as an orphan, being associated with the Tenth Street Reds before he joined the Alliance...I had a dream last night that I was at a bar with a pretty girl and I got into a fight, and that's when I discovered I was a Biotic Vanguard. I thrust my arms forward to shove a guy out of my face and as I made the motion a blue ball of kinetic dark energy lept from my arms and slammed into the guy who attacked me, throwing him through the air backwards several meters and sending him crashing threw a plate glass window. The dream ended as I heard sirens approaching and the cacophony of people screaming faded into the distance as I was waking up.

Post by B. Hieronymus Da on Feb 15, 2021 0:27:27 GMT
I had another dream that featured a remarkable lack of frustration, or too much good luck. That's very weird I think. Some kind of frustration got to be the most common theme in dreams. In mine at least. But in this, the frustrations became duds, for some reason. Anyway, I had bought this old Ferrari classic car. A 365GTB/4 Daytona. It was just so solid, mint condition, just like a modern brand new car. It had this fantastic bright scarlet paint. I'm not much for red cars but this was just gorgeous.
I was so happy, driving it the long way home. And it was such a joy to drive, the feel of the gearstick and the big wooden wheel.
As dusk fell, there was something strange going on. For some crazy reason I had moved and was sitting in the righthand seat, the passenger seat. And driving the car, reaching over with my left arm to the steering wheel, and hooking my left leg over the console to very awkwardly reach the throttle. I have no idea why I did that, but it seemed I was also caught up with some work and food, filling in some papers and eating a burger.
I was also approaching a city and coming into traffic. A big truck stopped ahead of me, apparently for some lights. I fumbled with reaching the clutch, putting it in neutral and then trying to get on the brake. But I was late, the travel of the brake pedal was long, and it was difficult to make the reach with my left foot. I had to turn the car to the right, in order to not run into the truck. I stopped the Ferrari though, the nose on the right side of the truck.
Then another big, heavy truck drives up from behind. And he drives all the way up to the first truck, only inches between. And even less to me, as he almost scrapes my side. I can't hear or feel anything, but he is so close it seems impossible that he hasn't damaged my precious car. And not to mention what will happen when he starts again. I don't know what to do. I can't get over into the driver's seat.
The trucks start moving again, the lights going green. It seems the truck must be dragging along all the way of my side. He's not close, he's on my side. But I can't hear anything and the car doesn't rock.
Them gone, I get out and look. It's rather dark but the Ferrari's side seems just as pristine as ever. Not a scratch. - Wow, I was lucky then, I think, wondering how much was between.
I better sit properly in the car I think. It feels good to be behind the wheel and have full control. I wonder why I was so stupid as to ride in the car in the passenger seat.
Next part is confused. Because I take the car onboard a ferry to get across some water on my way home. But immediately I drive off again, I'm in some kind of garage house and workshop. Still by the quay, in the harbor. I have parked the car. Before I can do much anything else, I'm surrounded by old workmates, who want to see my car.
So I explain that I have only bought an old and small car. I proudly pull off the cover, and underneath is some junk. It looks like some cheapo, homebuilt, single seat buggy. My immediate thought is that either someone has stolen my car, or the guys have pulled some practical joke on me. In either case, I worry about the car becoming damaged by some bloody fools.
But then I remember that I didn't park the car here. I just assumed it was my car, and that it had moved someway, never mind how <shrugs>, to this lower, second hall. So I figure: Lets go back and check the place where I remember I parked the car. Even though that somehow feels futile and meaningless, because, of course my car is gone? Isn't it? I've already seen that it's gone and replaced by buggy, haven't I? But where did I get the cover from? Let's go back and check, before calling the police.
And there it is, in all it's sparkling scarlet beauty. Like a miracle. Exactly where I parked it when I came. How strange. I check it again for any damage, now that I have good light. But no, it's absolutely pristine.
Everyone oohs and aahs, and I'm so happy again. It's such a beauty. But I don't let anyone test drive it. Instead I'm eager to continue my journey, to get home and show F.
I think I managed to get on the road again, and it's still night, but somewhere there I wake up. And just like with the last dream I told, I'm amazed by the lack of misfortune and unresolved frustrations. I hope happy dreams like these are not some sign of a pathological condition.

Beautiful car. And if you're going for Ferrari, you have to go with their classic, traditional, trademark red. I've always been a sucker for Italian ladies dressed in red My favourite classic Ferrari has always been the 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB 4-Cam though I've really never been able to decide which I like better, always had a hard time deciding: The Long Nose or Short Nose (not to mention all the other variations), because I never really looked at the differences. Both are truly beautiful.....certainly among the top of the most beautiful Ferraris ever built. But If I absolutely had to choose, I would go with the "Long Nose". 1967 275 GTB 4 -Cam "Long Nose" (See article posted here le-monde-edmond.com/ferrari-275-gtb-short-vs-long-nose/) This is very helpful is describing the differences. Most notably, the position and angle of the headlights and the "nose" of the car. The "Long Nose" has an 'upper lip" and the headlights are angled and moved slightly back of the front of the car. The short nose has a "wider mouth" and the headlights are not only rounder, more circular, but they're moved more to the front face of the car.

Ferrari Red's exact shade has actually changed somewhat over the years. Currently, it's brighter to what it originally was, a dark red that Ferrari inherited from Alfa Romeo. But a darker red than it was a few years ago when Schumacher was driving. This is due the pigments being invented over the years. Lightfastness is the issue. Most (i.e. all, except for some toxic and very expensive Cadmium Selenium and Mercury stuff, which are only used for very special things today) bright red pigments goes darker, duller and browner over time, exposed to the sun. The Ferrari in my dream was even brighter. If you ever see a printing ink red, or dye, like on packaging or a polyester sports uniform, that just screams bright neon scarlet. I've actually seen a modern Ferrari, a Roma, with that color. It might have inspired my dream. ...And I haven't bought it yet. Maybe if it was cheaper and had a smaller engine. I've kinda gravitated towards sanity and a Mustang ecoboost instead (but it might still be red). I don't want to play at being a race driver in my old days. I just want a comfortable vacation Grand Turismo to go travelling with. We'll see after the Covid age, if it ever ends. I'm not buying a new car now. When I quit working, my economy looked comfortably fine. Now I don't know. The Covid recession will change things. Better be frugal.

I have a friend who works for a Fleet Management company, gets to drive lots of different cars....and he's told me that FORD's Eco-Boost engines are horrible, especially the 3.5 L in the FORD F 150s; major transmission problems, oil leakage, over-heating, coolant leaks seeping into the cylinder and causing fires, seizure of the timing chain, spark plug misfiring or not firing at all and other problems that aren't so major but are just a pain in the @$$. Mustangs deserve a proper 5.0 Litre V-8.

I keep having strange dreams about reuniting with someone who I miss terribly from many years ago thing is as far as I am aware I havent had any contact with them for more than 23 years so why am I dreaming about them at my current age rather than as they appeared all those years ago?
to make things worse several books I read recently I literally knew the story of despite the fact they were published for the first time mere hours before I read them.... shits making me think I might just be crazier than I thought but that cant be I mean the voices always tell me just wait and all will be well /

You're only jealous because th voices only talk to me. If you really want excitement in your life, don't walk a mile in my shoes....That's borning and the journey is rather long and uneventful. Instead, spent 1 minute inside my head-- that'll freak you right out.

Last night I dreamed there was a Reaper invasion and that I was tasked with escorting out civilians to a safe bunker or whatever ...and there were rabid dogs...or something, don't recall if it were dogs, could've been cats or squirrels been a while since I had a Mass Effect dream...but as a plus point, no husks so that's good
