I started a new game with Circle Mage Origin. I played this long ago this origin, I was curious, that will be similar feeling that first time – when the game released. I think I still hate Calenhad Tower, despite that Irving seems decent man, but Gregoir a dick. Decent dick (better than Meredith), but still. Perhaps Calenhad Circle the Best Circle Ever, but still terrible (if this is the best, what terrible would be the other?) Aerland Amell (Plan: Spirit, Spirit Helaer, Primal –Lighting based–, Blood) I done with my Harrowing. Was not that difficult, than the rumors whispered. Why this is so big secret. No problem. The first thing what I did, I told everything about the process to Jowan. Fuck the idiot rules! Everyone has the right to know what is waiting for him! I spoke with Duncan, a commander of the Grey Wardens, and told him, that I would like to left the Tower, if this is the one option to leave this damn place, I will join to Grey Wardens! Later I spoke with Jowan and his love, a chantry sister, Lily, who told me, that she found a document stating Jowan among the mages, whom they will perform the Rite of Tranquility. Nice. I spoke before this poor Owain. The tranquility is worse than everything, what I can imagine. After that, I leave Jowan and Lily alone, in the Circle ChantryI met with Keili, an apprentice. I know her, but never talked before. She prayed, and seems desperate. I joined to her, perhaps, I could find out what's wrong with her. She told me, that we are all cursed by magic. Poor girl! She is not alone with this thought. Someone of them asks for tranquility, to purge from "the curse", some of them choose suicide. I hope, she can forget that idiotism! I tried to convince her, but seems not too much success. That's it for today, I will continue later.

So Aerland Amell today: Jowan congratulated me for my Harrowing, and told me, that they don't want him to do his Harrowing. Weird. He asked me for help him escape with his girlfriend. I didn't even know, that he has a girlfriend... Perhaps he has balls as well? What else can he have to hide? I met with him and his girlfriend, Lily, a Chantry sister... For Andraste's shiny ass! Lily told me, that in Irving's table she found a note with some names... apprentices, who may be suspected of using blood magic... Haha, my old whiny, Jowan! Of course, he denied. Whatever, we must to find and destroy his phylactery. Fuck... my blood already in Denerim. I got the fire wand from the depository. Let's go! Back to the offer of the Grey Warden, Duncan, true, I would do anything to get out of here... but this chance looks better than become a Grey Warden. I don't have a problem with using my magic for some good goal, not even with some good fight, but I want to be free firstly. If this is the cost, so let it be, but... I'm already sick of following the orders! So. I'm excited! We entered the Phylactery Chamber. I don't know, perhaps I'm so... romantic, but I expected something more... impressive. This is just a little... chamber. But here's Jowan's freedom, in this little vial. Jowan already free... I'm a little envious. We went to the gate. Where they were waiting for us... Oh fuck, I could have thought! Two dirty old bastards! Gregoir threatened Lily for help to a dangerous Blood Mage... Haha, again (despite this situation, I almost laughed)... Jowan as Blood Mage! And dangerous! Bullshit! Why didn't I know they have a sense of humor?! But we are in a big stinky shit, I suppose... Gregoir did not stop. He though seriously. Jowan stood guardingly in front of Lily. I've never seen him so determined. He took out a knife, and slit his vein, and pushed back the Templars and Irving. I admit, he impressed me. Well he's a blood mage. You could have told me, prick! Perhaps we might have learned from each other... but we must run. C'mon Lily! Lily doesn't want to escape with Jowan, with a Blood Mage. She rather chose the prison. Foolish girl! Run, Jowan! Yes, I know, you didn't want this. Run, and live well, buddy! Try not to hurt yourself! It's too late for me. The Templars and Irving regained consciousness. Oh, shit! Duncan arrived. Thanks the Maker! Perhaps this is my fate. I'm not so happy, but better than the Circle. Anyway, Gregoir wants my life. It is mutual. But Duncan seems wants my life better... You can’t tell me what I can do, dirty old bastard! Not anymore! The deal was made. We went to Ostagar. At the Gates, we met with King Cailan. He seems respect the Grey Wardens, and seems weirdly optimistic. "Recruit, meet King Cailan! King Cailan, meet Ser Noname Circlemage from Calenhad Tower!" Haha! What the fuck was this?

I reinstalled the DAO, and continued Aerland Amell 's story So I arrived at Ostagar with Duncan, and met with Alistair an ex-Templar Grey Warden. I was afraid we will not the best friend, but fortunately, he told, he hated to be Templar, and Duncan saved him – the Grand Cleric didn't really want to let him go. Poor guy, I thought the Templars did their own choice, but someone of them just as forced as we are. Of course, this doesn't mean I like them better, but this Alistair guy okay... more than okay, in fact... sigh... anyway, back to the task. I also met with two Grey Warden aspirant, Ser Jory, a warrior, and Daveth. Ser Jory seems not that interesting, but Daveth! I like him! Seems we will be good friends (those eyes!). Duncan said we have to gather some darkspawn blood, I'm curious: for what... and we need to search for some old warden contracts. Let's go. But as we went out of the camp the hound trainer stopped me. He asked for a herb for a mabari war hound, who injured from the darkspawn. Nice dog, I want to help him. I would like such a friend when I was a child, I remember, I got a puppy... It was before they took me away... to the Circle. Daveth told something about the Witch of the Wild. Seems, he fears, no problem, I will protect you, trust me! I'm sure just some apostates behind the legend... Daveth is funny and brave. We acquired the blood and found the place, where the contract should have been, but there was nothing just a weird apostate woman... she's that "Witch of the wild"? Haha, not that scary. But Alistair and Daveth warn caution. Alistair assumes, she will conjure us into a toad, if we're not vigilant. Oh my! I like him! I confronted with her about the contracts, and she told, her mother took them away, to save them. So: go to her mother. The old Witch of the Wild... I suppose she's just a strong mage, but who knows, perhaps a bit more... She got us the contracts. I don't think, she's malevolent. Go back to the camp. Oh wait, the herb! The dog needs it. Okay, I found one. At the camp, Duncan awaited us. So about that secret "joining ritual"... this isn't a trial. This is a fucking sacrifice. Anyway, better than the Circle... and as Daveth said if this needs to stop the Blight, then worth it. Seems Ser Jory already repented he wanted to join. Daveth was the first... but the poison in the darkspawn blood killed him. Rest in peace, mate, you could have been a good friend. Fuck. Ser Joy panicked, and pulled his sword. Duncan killed him. Okay, I'm the next one... (Joining – video) It's over. And I'm alive. I saw a strange ...dream? A weird dragon. That was the Archdemon? Probably. Duncan said, King Cailan wants to speak with us. I already realized that, but now it was clear: the King fond of Grey Wardens. And the heroic battles. And seems, Loghain doesn't happy about it. The battle plan was not that difficult. Cailan and the Grey Wardens start the battle, and when the time comes, Loghain will attack the Darkspawn with his army. My task with Alistair to ignite beacon on the top of Tower of Ishal. Let's go! We ignited the fire, but the darkspawn in the Tower defeated us. I woke up inside a hut – the home of the Witch of the Wild. Again. She and her weird daughter saved us. Why? And how? I have many questions.

I started a new character sheet for AerlandAerland saved the mages and Connor (let Jowan run), and finished some shady quest to Zevran's Crow "friend" and the innkeeper in Denerim. Started Leliana's personal quest. At the moment Leliana and Zevran's Aerland's best friends. And Zevran a bit more. Oh, I almost forget: he got an old-new Fortress to the Wardens. He tried to deal with "Sophia" (Zevran was excited!), but Avernus offered a better deal – so: "Sophia" died. He let Avernus continue his experiments, without human sacrifices. He's maybe not an angel, but has his limits.

Aerland AmellFlemeth's grimoire: Morrigan asked Aerland to kill her mother. She suspects, that her mother is an abomination who kept herself fit and young with a method, that when her body becomes old, she's moving into her daughter's body. Leliana told a tale about Flemeth, the Which of the Wild, and this tale was disturbing, but still... Morrigan's version was so... unbelievable. So, he decided, Flemeth will alive. Perhaps a bad choice, but to kill an "Abomination" who has such a fine, sarcastic humour – is just a waste. Zevran approves, while doesn't deny, a little violence always a good fun, seems, Alistair happy with becoming "bad guy", and Wynne worries. Anyway, Morrigan's grateful (Aerland hopes, she was not right about Flemeth...) +video

Catilina I would love to read your stories. Can you add the links here for me? So, if you want...
Ralph Hawke's "What did you today" story and character sheetand a little unfinished story related a mage kid. Willard Trevelyan's character sheetI have many other characters, but only these have some written background yet. All of them under construction, so don't expect some great stories, and my english is really weak – sorry for it.

Maybe Abram and Anduin can help them trust again. Sagittarians are very loyal, patient, caring friends. Reinhardt is a hottie but Anduin knows he has no chance against Anders, lol. How do you figure out their birthdates? I don't know if I done mine right. I found out when the modern inquisition started and counted backwards. Sad about Willard and his templar paramour. Such a shame that love can't truly blossom in circles. I feel conflicted about supporting circles that protects people from magic but needing major changes so mages don't feel like they are in prison.

I feel conflicted about supporting circles that protects people from magic but needing major changes so mages don't feel like they are in prison. Hawke's mother and father met in 9:05 Dragon, they left Kirkwall a few months later, and Leandra already was pregnant, so: Hawke born at the end of 9:05, or in 9:06. Hawke ~24-25 in 9:30, when the Blight destroyed Lothering, and they went to Kirkwall. My really angry guy rather Ralph, he's the most problematic among them – Reinhardt is a hotheaded sweetheart, a devoted lover and friend – Willard more distrustful, or rather he wants to believe, but don't want to be naive, if this has some sense – he already lost many whom he trusted sometimes. Abram and Anduin probably would their good friend. And you're right, not a chance against Anders. I never felt conflicts about the Circles. They must be destroyed – at least as prisons. As education and research centres, they're useful – but not necessarily in one place. The Inquisition paints a grotesque picture about the Circles. Vivienne absolutely wrong – the truth is the Kinloch Hold, The Gallows and the White Spire, and that the mages' children become the Chantry's properties, like Wynne's son.

I didn't expect you'll like him – he's a little bit different than your characters. * I just found that place and started to gather the pieces of information and stories about my characters here. Easy to put everything in the character sheet, and to find it later. Do it, what you found more fun, of course. I like your dialogues, by the way.

I know, that many people love Irving but if Amell/Surana doesn't want to help Jowan, Irving asks for it. He jeopardizes his apprentice and then doesn't able to protect him/her – so sacrifices his apprentice. He's just an old opportunist, a mediocre mage, who was able to get the First Enchanter status because he was such a snake... So I strongly prefer Jowan over him... Yes, Zevran is one of the best LIs and friends, if the Warden earns his trust. His romance and friendship arc is the best (okay, shared with Morrigan's) Plus, Duncan is a lot more sympathetic to you if you didn't rat Jowan out
he's like: oh good, someone who's willing to make sacrifices for those in need (aka. the greater good) if you went along with Irving or if Irving more or less blackmailed you into ratting Jowan out, he's a lot less...enthusiastic in that case he's more: oh yay, another yes man...like I needed more of those Wynne as well, especially if you say you stand by your decision and would do it again if needed (which...you know...during Redcliffe )
Irving makes me think of characters like Dumbledore and Gandalf, only helping out if needed/demanded and otherwise sitting back and letting others do his dirty work he's still a good character, but I find Greagoir more entertaining when you come back to the Circle he's like: oh great...it's you again, why are you back? I don't need more of this...I sprouted another gray hair just by seeing you but I do wonder...what the hell was he thinking with sending Cullen (who suffers from PTSD) to frickin' Kirkwall of all places?! I mean, seriously... also another thing I wonder about...how'd they find out you snuck into the phylactery chamber? here's a few possibilities I came up with... 1: someone overheard you talking and ratted you out to Irving 2: someone heard the explosion from when you break down that wall 3: some sort of signal is send when the first door (that you can't get past due to the wards) is opened by anyone other then the First Enchanter/Knight Commander 1. Meredith needed such a Templar. And this was her reason to promote him. I suppose she saw the young herself in Cullen. Greagoir and Irving are good characters, yes, but I don't like them. (Greagoir wanted to kill Aerland...) But I don't think, the PTSD was a known problem in Thedas. They just saw in Cullen a very devoted Templar... a little bit overeager, but still good. The Chantry and the Order not that picky, just think about Otto Alrik... By the way, Cullen needed Kirkwall – the fact he saw that her madness consumes Meredith, needed to him to be sober. (According the original version – if the Warden doesn't help him to Annull the Circle, Greagoir send him away, and he becomes a mad serial killer, who hunts the mages... Kirkwall isn't that bad way to him...) 2. It's a good question...

most of the Epilogue slides are 'what if' scenarios, and I agree with you that Cullen needed Kirkwall he even says it himself during Inquisition, that he needed to see Kirkwall...he was in a bad shape when he first arrived there, seeing danger everywhere (pretty much like Meredith herself), plus he was afraid, and hoped that by cracking down he could avoid the same thing happening again I actually think that's why I like my world state of just mages the Warden saves his life, granting him another chance the Champion and Inquisitor both help him put his life back into perspective and help him return to the good man he's always been
(during his time in Kirkwall that good man is still there, it just gets overshadowed by paranoia and fear)
so Minerva just arrived back at Ostagar, and this time around she was a bit snarky with Cailan, which is funny Cailan: bla bla bla *some greetings and stuff*, may I know your name? Minerva: I highly doubt it, but anything is possible Cailan: *chuckles* you got yourself a lively one there Duncan, and here I was starting to worry all Wardens were stodgy priests
^he actually responds quite well to some of the snarky lines, guess that just shows how he and Alistair are related

Yesterday night I lost my internet connection, but finished Wynne's personal quest and the Werewolf quest. Aerland forced Zathrian to eliminate the curse. Maxed his friendship with Leliana and Zevran, and listened to Wynne's thanks and preaching, while tried to be patient and not too disrespectful. At the end he gave a bottle of wine to her, just finish the bullshit. Wynne talked about she was rebellious young lady. Much better... Aerland liked this non-expected part of her personality, but strengthened his feeling about his fear: perhaps, if he stays in the Circle, most likely the Circle would break him too. Screenshots: (Jowan's quest doesn't want to appear on the maps, but Aerland would be happy to see him again. Fucking bug what was never fixed...)

Back to Aerland Amell PT (Old one, unfinished but I like him). Blood Mage. Saved Redcliffe and Connor (tricked the desire demon), freed Jowan, and protected the mages, cured the werewolves, agreed with Caridin, and put Bhelen to the Throne – for the radical change Zevran about Harrowmont: Protected Zevran from Talesien and got his reward Freed Anora, but captured, with Alistair. They managed to escape: “Oh, fuck!” “You’re okay?” “Don’t worry, but we should go, this place too much reminds me to the Circle… did I say already how I hated it?” “Yes, yes… Do you have a plan? A Guard’s coming…” “Our key coming…”“Hey! Good to see you here! We’re bored. Do you want to play with us?” “Well, I could enjoy your company…” “Can I help you take off your armour?”“Much better… the helmet… eh… that will not bother our joy… So, let’s play!”“Go! We wasted enough time here!”(It was weird, at the end of the escape the game sent Leliana and Morrigan to help, it's random?) SO: go back to Aemon Arl and try to put Alistair to the Throne, if possible, with Anora... and to recruit Loghain...

Finished my Amell's DAO run ( older posts here about him – he's a really-really old character) Aerland • saved the mages; later asked for independence of the Circle (Irving the old bastard was grateful for the independence – we know, it never happened, the Chantry didn't let it happen); •saved Redcliffe and Connor, let Jowan run; •cured the werewolves; •destroyed the Anvill, and crowned Bhelen; •conscripted Loghain •earned close friendship with everyone, love with Zevran Alistair rules with Anora; Loghain performed the Dark Ritual; Zevran followed Aerland to the Wardens, but never joined to them. Screenshots:DefeatedWhy do you not kill him? Kill him already!Believe me, this is the best for everyone (okay, perhaps, not for you, but you'll be a good king, and Ferelden needs you)AnoraArcdemon fightAlistair is disappointed, but congratulated, and they still speak with each other.Loghain seems in love – he almost smiles...Wynne has some good banter in Ostagar with Loghain. (Also those faces!)
Cheers!

Okay, I'm back... Old PT continues: Aerland AmellBlood Mage Some Origin momentsDAO choices: Aerland... ...saved the mages; later asked for independence of the Circle. ...saved Redcliffe and Connor, let Jowan run; ...cured the werewolves; ...destroyed the Anvill, and crowned Bhelen; ...conscripted Loghain ...earned close friendship with everyone, love with Zevran ...Alistair rules with Anora; Loghain performed the Dark Ritual; Zevran followed Aerland to the Wardens, but never joined to them. And now Awakening... Someone understands Uldred... She said: Uldred went mad and killed everyone, Wynne constantly harassed him with his duty with the apprentices...But he just wanted peace. Nathaniel really loved his father. According to Delilah, he idolized him, and can't accept he was evil. Justice moments: Your husband is dead, now I live in this body, but I'll avenge him... Not a good way to say someone their loss... It seems worse way than just ask, that: Now who is the widow among us, raise, their hand! Aura, dear, don't hide! He realized, it was not the best way... He's funny on a morbid way, and he doesn't even realize This makes him even funnier. Justice is favourite in Awakening. Despite he wants to avenge EVERYTHING, and Nathaniel tries to speak on his Language, Justice doesn't buy this: Justice: So you are a thief? Nathaniel: Who, me? Not by profession, my friend. Justice: And yet you were imprisoned for attempted theft. Nathaniel: Of things which belonged to my family, and which were taken from us unjustly. Justice: A likely tale.
