The ninja paint on my Asari friend might have been implemented because of eyelash issues. Sometimes BW has eyelash issues and it can make things look weird. If they wanted to showcase her expressiveness, though, they'd still use her, and throw some paint over it for now. Perhaps.
I did notice in the trailers that the running animation has vastly improved over ME3.
And, yes, to Hrungr about the settings. I was hoping for environments a little more interesting, or out there. The idea of prehistoric flora that's tweaked is good.
Although, there are some very strange things on this planet that most people are not aware of. So, maybe they found some crazy stuff--besides desert--and made it crazier.

I was pretty much resigned to upgrading towards the end of the year, but I don't have to... maybe I'll wait to see how the 1080TI/Vega shake out.

But because BioWare chose to do a tight shot of her face in the trailer with some unusual details (which we were meant to find), I'm... not inclined to take anything about her at "face" value. BioWare is up some sort of shenanigans with this character... And as for the planets, yeah, I'm also hoping they're saving the cool stuff for us to find in-game. I actually hope the run-up to the game doesn't spoil too many of the locations.

Eh, Halo 4 did a lot better and it came out about 6 months after ME3 for 7th gen consoles. Not to mention L.A. Noire in 2011. At some point people need to stop giving BioWare brownie points for outdoing themselves when they're consistently behind the rest of the industry.

I actually hope the run-up to the game doesn't spoil too many of the locations. It's likely she was part of a mercenary squad before being selective to be part of the initiative and the face paint is just a left over practice from ambushing in dark armor. Eh, Halo 4 did a lot better and it came out about 6 months after ME3 for 7th gen consoles. Not to mention L.A. Noire in 2011. At some point people need to stop giving BioWare brownie points for outdoing themselves when they're consistently behind the rest of the industry. <<<<<<<<<<(0)>>>>>>>>>> Agreed that Halo had good facial animations before ME:A. Still, from no facial animations in ME1-3 to that Asari sample? The comparison is like night and day. I think for a company that spends a lot of its resources on story development it is a step forward, especially considering the facial animations have to work on a whole range of facial styles, not just a select few.

I would like to see some LA noire style missions(even 1) due to the increase of the quality of facial animations if that is all possible. It would be great if they could incorporate these facial animations into solving a mission

Ehhh, I'm not super duper thrilled about judging a turian face, when I've seen thousands of human faces. I'm not saying that I couldn't judge, just saying that I would prolly be really really bad at it.
And Halo 4 vs ME3? I dunno, man. I haven't played Halo 4. ME3 had so many plot points to consider. You're not even thinking about half of them. Whereas, with Halo 4, it didn't have that many plot points to consider. Remember that with ME3, it was built on Unreal 3. A very old and dated engine.

If they do a noir mission, i imagine they'd require certain squadmates to be there to help you along and would even make sense said required squadmate was the reason for the investigation in the first place.

I really love the facial expressions of her when the gun is pointed at her <<<<<<<<<<(0)>>>>>>>>>> No question that her facial animation is top notch. However, here is a thought. Does this tech help the artists animate the face of a Turian?, a Krogan?, a Salarian? And, what about insectoid races with a chitinous exterior? I'm thinking of the Zindi ant race in Star Trek: Enterprise. Am I going to see a smiling Turian female face? Because if I am, then expect appearance changes to our beloved characters. Edit: for spelling I'm curious to see how well they map out the physiology for different races, to feed that into the engine and create expressions humans can't. I'm specifically thinking of Turians and their mandibles, which could be quite expressive if done well. At least Krogans have lips. I wonder if they'll still have funky teeth...

However, Bio is changing things again... new canon(s) and all. So flexibility where none existed before will not be a surprise.
