Andromeda is the ME "Star Wars: The Force Awakens"

The Force Awakens was better received than Mass Effect Andromeda. The only legitimate criticism for TFA is the fact that the director played it too safe. Criticism for MEA is directed towards the half-assery of the game's animation, story, and world building.

Yes, I know its a great game.

So what I see is 
1) small side quest that referances a dlc squadmate
2) extremely small cameo that people can miss
3) This on is fair as N7 armor is damned iconic
4) Except quarians, volus, hanar. drell, and bartarians. 
5) Fair but I don't really see how you avoid that.
6) Yep that's what they wanted, a better mako.
7) I agree that's what they intended but in my opinion they failed.
8) Bioware loves archetypes with squadmates
9) I wasn't aware Gil was scottish? 
10) Kett feel more like borg to me
11) Did we explore a lot of prothean ruins in the OT? outside of ME1 ofc.

All in all, Yes, some things are like Mass effect as it should be but is it an intentional homage to the OT? No. The force awakens clearly shows its roots in the original trilogy of star wars at every turn you don't have to take a film studies class to see that. Now ME:A takes more turns away from the OT in my opinion it very clearly makes a mark with starting over and exploring a new galaxy. The OT was more about saving the galaxy.

They're both rehashed & tired run of the mill, popcorn mass market productions. Both a collection of a bland barage of old worn out tropes. Science fiction for people who dont actually like science fiction etc... So yeah i'd agree that MEA is the TFA of the Mass Effect series. You definitly got a point there OP.

Although i dont agree its an apology game for ME3. I say that as in some ways some of the underlying core game design & mechanics and above all the general direction(ie too many shit tier fetch quests, crap writing, cut-down dialogue trees, hardly any meaty side missions, hardly any/no side missions where we got to land & explore on unknown worlds found whilst randomly scanning a planet(and not just collect some statue or some junk crap), few hubs, multiplayer, half-assed and rushed in many places etc) that ME3 was taking the Mass Effect franchise in have been continued on and even got worse in Andromeda. If there is an apology its a very small one.

Unless you're saying TFA was full of gameplay bugs this doesn't make sense. This seems less like an apology and more like something that deserves an apology.

According to this forum it's actually terrible. But then, if I learned anything from this forum, it's that everything is kind of terrible. 

ME1 is a shit storm of a game when it comes to combat and general game play. The only things I really care about.

1) referances to an dlc squadmate

2) yes really cool
3) your father was an N7 in this game, so the armor should be implemented
4) Except 3/4 of the whole MilkyWay species
5) Like many other ships, because this design is an cooporation between Turians and Humans

6) and what about the M29a / b and VT7
7) Why not? the design is good and you dont have any weakpoint on the outside only armor

9) the scotts have really good engineers, and i think it should be an homage to ST

Saren didn't need the conduit, he had spectre access to the chamber where the control panel is. ME1 should have been over before it started.

Great story.

Except Saren lost his status after the attack on Eden Prime which he targeted to gain access to the Prothean beacon to find the Conduit and Sovereign wanted him to find the Conduit to gain access to the Citadel because the Citadel through the Keepers weren't responding to his commands.

Basically, Saren lost his Spectre status as a result of him attempting to find the Conduit, not as a result of him investigating the loss of connection between the Keepers and Sovereign or attempting to activate the Citadel. He could have investigated the Keepers and manually activated the Citadel for Sovereign without losing his Spectre license and becoming a fugitive. He never would have needed to go after the Conduit. Conduit should only have been necessary after he became a fugitive, not before.

Atleast its not Attack of the Clones, am i right?
