I never had high expectations to begin with. Mainly because the developers were very fresh and as development went on more and more people left the ship. It was clear there was a lot of issues during the development cycle. I think they salvaged most of what they could out of it, but it certainly lacks polish. So is it what i expected? Yes. It's A game that on occasion shine, and at others struggle to get by. Still i want them go ahead and make a sequel if possible. With the experience from this project, and critical feedback a sequel could be much more. We'll see if they learn the right things something that should be reflected in the DLC aswell.

After DA:I I had an idea of what ME:A might be and it is to an extend.
But unlike Inquisition it kept growing on me to a point where I enjoy it a good deal, even with it's shortcomings. There are pockets of bliss when it just clicks, but also tedious jank.

Bioware absolutely pussied out with the amount of new aliens introduced to the game.
I was expecting at least 3 but more like 4.
Instead they kept the focus on all the popular MW races to appease the fans.
Would have made for a better game had we arrive in the middle of a 3 way war between the native alien races.

ME2 had the best side missions.
Boarding pirate ships.
Destroying terrorist compounds.
When what does N7 mean to you was echoed during the initial rumors of this game I was expecting a focus on that kind of gameplay.

I expected a conflict/competition between the N7 and the main characters.
But that would have been too interesting so we get good ol' fashion patricide because screw potentially interesting characters and familial conflict, thanks BioWare.

It's far better than I expected though lucky for me I haven't seen the worst of the bugs. Ryder is so much better and in my opinion a lot more "human" than Shepard ever was - a casual/emotional play through had some of the funniest comments I've seen in ages.. The worlds/environments are outstanding. The story line I could play 100 times and not get bored with - including most of the side quests. Even some of the minor side-quests were heartbreaking (esp the one where you are planting down probes and hear the voice of the daughter encouraging her dad... only to find out why it was set up like that ) The characters /crew mates are so much more alive than the other ME games and gosh I love how they chat with each other. Liam is probably my least liked character but I still find talking to him enjoyable. LOVED the ending. Thought it was perfect actually. Loved seeing Alecs memories fully unlocked. For an unproven studio I think they outdid themselves ... they just need to fix the bug and see if they can fiddle with the animations (which I personally dont have a problem with) I can't wait for more and hope Montreal continues with this game and the next. (minus the bugs) Bot spotted.

After BioWare nuked the official BSN I knew what was up.

Sort of. I knew it wouldn't be the same as the trilogy. It's a better game than people give it credit for but it's presentation values aren't as good as the trilogy's which is surprising considering that MEA has superior tech to work with.

No. I wasn't expecting DA: Inquisition in Space since Bioware said it wouldn't be like it, got suckered in I guess. I was also expecting to be entertained by an A grade story and characters.

I just finish the game and it was every bit as good as I expected or thought it would be. I guess their intent was to capture, copy and use some of the better parts of the original trilogy and try to blend them into Andromeda. I personally think it achieved that goal and was pretty much satisfied with the story, the game play with the over all look and feel that was the very essence of Mass Effect trilogy. I know there will be others that disagree and that's fine. But I did enjoy my 84 hrs with 91% completion of the game very much and am looking forward to see what they have for us in the way of dlc.

When a game is hyped and the most expected game for 5 years I would be really surprised if 1 person liked it after all that. So yeah i think a lot less people would be bitching if the game is what it is currently but was out 2 years ago.
