Soooo lets see here. Three more games in my franchise in the Show. 2-1 record. The one was a big pile of bull. Fortunatley though I am actually hitting homeruns now. I think I have doubled my season totals in the three games. Pearce hit two, Betts hit one, Martines and Moreland hit a nice three run bomb. Including in the loss, which I was pitching, but didn't actually take the loss. I went down 2-1 and then Pearce hit his home run to tie it...and it would stay tied to the bottom of the tenth when Kimbrel gave up a three run home run. Quite annoying.

Got in a handful of online bouts in MK11. Controller died on me mid session and I'm slowly re-acclimating to my emergency fight-stick.
Character models are full of personality and guts, lots and lots of guts. Love it.

Another Kingmaker run. Set up the barony. Some of the quests are ill thought out. Especially when it boils down to; she said, he said and the life of one or the other demanded by the aggrieved party. Given the dialogue choices, I stayed on neutral /chaotic / lawful good. The choices I made was not to make any judgement call and not take the life demanded. When I go back to the aggrieved party, there's no further dialogue to find out the truth. No other way to ascertain circumstances and accusations. When I told one party of the decision, she simply cursed, spat at the protag and said she'll speak bad of the protag to all she meets. The problem is that she's possibly not that innocent. At some point, she did something that caused the bad stuff that happened and there's no way to talk about it with her. In the previous PT, I told her to leave the kingdom and removed the shop that I built for her. Further along the game, I found her still standing about in town. *shrug* Not even going to bother telling her anything in this PT. The two quests are registered as a fail. FAIL because I refuse to do the bad things requested. I don't care I won't get the so call exceptional weapons they can make.

I just bought The Crew 2 on sale. I know it had mediocre reviews and they're probably correct, but I wasn't actually looking for a good racing game, I wanted something that could work as a road trip simulator. I think TC2 does that job very well. Took my crappy starter car, put in in cockpit view, turned on the radio, and I'm going to go see the giant sequoia forest. It's soothing.
The only gripe I have is that I wanted to do it on a motorbike, and I can't get one unless I actually play a lot of the races, or shell out real life money in microtransactions.

Some of the artisan quests are odd in that way, several of them share the theme "do something questionable if not outright evil or you fail". I've done those both ways. Fortunately, only Bokken's masterwork is really worth it, the two weaponsmiths' require some specific feats to make best use of them, and otherwise there are alternatives which are at least as good. In any case, at least the artisan quests aren't bugged anymore. Or at least, not bugged enough to preclude completing them. As a rule. Things used to be a great deal worse. It seems they did these in a hurry.

I am revisiting....Oblivion.
Yes, that almost 15-year-old game, Skyrim's predecessor. Since I play TES games mainly for the mods, why not Skyrim, you may ask? Well, I like Oblivion's setting a great deal better than Skyrim's, with which I got bored in fairly short order - and mods or not, the landscapes are what you look at all the time while travelling outdoors.
Second, some mods have matured nicely since I last played the game, as have the tools to manage them. And now, after 15 years, I finally have a GPU powerful enough that I don't need to remove stuff because my computer can't handle it. I still get down to 20fps here and there, but there's a dynamic graphic mod that just reduces the vision range on the fly if things get too slow - and I can set the limit in an INI file. It seem almost everywhere is fine, though, since I already visited the notorious areas, and that with extensive graphics enhancing mods. I've not installed ENB patches simply because I'm not sure I need them any more with Oblivion Reloaded. We'll see.
Lastly, Skyrim's modding scene was hurt by the Special Edition, in that people prefer to play SE now but more than half of the mods were never ported. I played Skyrim in 2012 or so and it already had more mods than the SE has now.
So, I spent almost 3 days installing Oblivion mods and debugging the whole setup. There are now compatibility patches for a ton of mod conflicts, or install options to avoid them in the first place. The only thing I miss from Skyrim are my high-res face textures. There are those for Oblivion as well, but in the face details you really notice the six years between Oblivion and Skyrim.
We'll see how it goes. Maybe I'll post some screenshots...

Done with the storymode of MK 11, stupid fun. Checked out the krypt and the towers of time to grind some Frost gear.
I don't think I have ever seen a more grindy, disgusting and transparent MTX model in a fighting game. Actually pissed that they felt the need to sour a great game with this crap.

Been prodding at this and that over the days. A bit of Baldur's Gate, a bit of Sims and then some Sunset Overdrive. Been fairly unfocused at the first two, so no need to recap those sessions. Had a pretty decent one in Sunset Overdrive, so that's the session in the spoilers. It also has pics, inside some other spoilers. And of course, spoilers. So, you've been warned. And TLDR at the bottom. Was feeling a bit sleepy when playing Sunset Overdrive yesterday and was trying to muddle my way out of the respawn loop I was stuck at. Had one save there and another a bit back, didn't remember about the Reload checkpoint, so took the one a bit back except it seemed a bit too far back. Then remembered the checkpoint except when I tried to load the other save I think I overwrote it or something. Was too sleepy and groggy to reason, so shut off the game. Then loaded it again today and picked the save a bit back. Edited my girl's looks (since it turns out you can save presets, so figured I could at least have different view while catching up). Love the outfits in this game btw. So played up until the bit where I got stuck, where I realized I probably hadn't saved over the other save. But was already there and had found some stuff I knew I didn't find the first time around, sooooo. Just kept playing this save. But first another make over.
She could probably make the leap into Saints Row 3 when she's done here. At least has the colors for it. So get past the place where I was stuck first with no respawn loop glitches. Also understood way better what I was supposed to be doing, so had a way easier time, so that was great. So finally reach new territory. Which includes going snooping around a factory, seeing a picnic gone wrong, fun with cranes, beating expired hot dogs out of crates and train chasing. So good times all in all. Then took a small break because there was another Defend the Vat section and I don't like defending anything but my own self. And also I'm rubbish at it, so it takes too long and I end up feeling bad. Watched a lets play of an old aquarium game I remember playing as a kid. Good times. Also realized I could set things up so I could play while sitting comfortably in bed. So decided since I'm comfy to give the Vat Defence a swirl. And it goes great. Have a bit of a problem seeing what is going on on the screen when from that distance, but nothing that I wont get used too. And the game is so super forgiving so it's not that big of a deal. So now it's even more of a rainy day thing. So end up playing a bit more. Find the bloke I'm looking for. Get an awesome boss fight with so many screenshot-able moments. Especially since I caught a small texture glitch on it where a bloke gets decapitated for a moment (even if he's fine later). Was so glad I got this one. There are a few leaping ones and stuff, but just love that cheeky face she's pulling. Oh noes! Then meet the next group in the story and do their first quest. But first, a make over of course. Got to look good after all. The quest has a bit of a Defend these people gimmick, which I did expect I would get real annoyed at, but I just loved the music so much and the Defendee's were fairly hardy as well, so had a grand time. Near the end the headphones started whining that they were out of juice, so called it a night there. Also learned that you can in fact snap a screenshot with the controller via Big Picture, so next session will be even more comfy. Huzzah! So grand times over all. TL:DR Moved on in the story, did silly stuff and a bunch of outfit picking.

Maps made to mislead you, so the game becomes finding your way to the quest, rather than the quest itself. Vergen is terrible and Loc Muinne isn't much better.

Surprising as it might seem, some of us here do NOT know the name of any game from a single screenshot, not even if it's hugely popular. Not even from a series of screenshots.

It's Subnautica. ***** Well folks, guess where Jennifer Hale turn up? ... in Mortal Combat 11, am watching gameplay now. She played the char of Kronika, the time keeper. She didn't try any inflection (as she did with Cremisius in DAI) so she's recognisable straight off. It's silly really to watch the chars cut each other in all kinds of horrible gory methods. If it's a sparring fight, the fallen char just stand up and chat happily in the cutscene.

Started my official run in Elite Dangerous and am having pretty much a blast just leisurely collecting credits for a while. I doubt I'd bother playing this if there were no Solo mode, though. Anyway, nothing really exciting to talk about, but there are a couple of screenies below. My first ride; heading in to park her for a while. My new one (I've not yet taken her out of the hangar).

Played Santa Monica by night, free short sidesscroller made by Outstar and some talented people. It's for fans of Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines mainly and features some characters from that game. Outstar is a YouTuber, who makes a lot of videos about the lore of the World of Darkness and VtMB in particular, so she knows her stuff. It's a fun little game, which helps shorten the waiting for Bloodlines 2. If course playing Bloodlines 1 helps too

Just stopped playing the Division 2 after putting in over five days of game time into that product.
I've hit World Tier Five, acquired a full set of the True Patriot armor and modified it to an average of 506 gear score, collected all the cosmetics from the Invasion Apparel event going on, finished the steps to assemble my Nemesis exotic sniper rifle, and have just finished maxing out the three specializations of Survivalist, Demolitionist, and Sharpshooter. The only things I really lack are one or two more exotic weapons, finishing out the two other armor sets, and end game activities in the Dark Zone (which I can't run solo); and I'm a little burnt out on grinding for stuff for a while to be honest.
Looking forward to the Raid & Minigun specialization dropping in the next month or two.

Towers of time in MK 11 are gross. Almost all of them have test your luck challenges with random insane stage damage that interupts everything and turns fights into slot machines. The cherry on top is the "skip fight" button, which I'm positive is run on premium currency. LAME-ALITY!
Edit: I still like the core gameplay and online play, a lot actually.
Edit-2: Kombat Kast did inform that there is no way to pay for consumables with real money and Towers will be patched, nice.

I picked up Parkan 2 on GOG the other day. Yesterday, I finally got it to run. I was having an issue where I coudln't adjust the resolution, and the sound was cutting out when I fired the primary weapon on the ship.
Well, after running it in Win XP SP2, and lowering my sound bitrate to an x16 value (I think I went with the highest one available), I finally got it running. I still had a crash, but I ran out of time to troubleshoot the crash today. So I have to wait till next week for that.
Still, a surprisingly fun game. I really like the fact that the ships have interiors as well as exteriors. And how they look big, when landed, but not so big as to be un-gainly. It really gives the universe a nice realistic feel. The biggest down side is the audio though. The music, while your flying around, is almost too happy. And the transition from combat to not-combat is very abrupt. Also, the English localization is very rough. Aparently its alot better in its native Russian, though I don't speak a lick of russian so that doesn't do a whole lot for me.
So far, i'm enjoying this game overall. But we'll see how long I continue with it.

Loaded up Subnautica to check if a controller was usable. It was so decided to load a new game for laughs and then picked a direction away from the ship and swam away, in hopes of either reaching land or invisible walls. The swimming was fine, when head was above the water. But frig those sounds once head went underwater. Found neither land nor wall in the end, but something ate me. Not sure what. Probably the fecker who was the loudest underwater. And now the game is back on the shelf for being too damn spooky. Then back to Sunset Overdrive, comfy edition. Did a bunch of stuff in the main quest. Cooked some pidgeons, had an acid trip, some more Vat Defence (on a boat!), then a boat ride with no Vats, met some cheerleaders, neutered my awesome sword, had fun with drums and bunch more stuff. So just good Wednesday times. Also did a bunch of side quests as well, including gathering comic books, riding a train and becoming HARDCORE! Whoop. And of course, some make overs. But too lazy to upload screen shots. So alas. But all in all had a great time. Got some more Vat defending coming up later....yay....but this time there will also be a band so crossing fingers that the music makes up for it.

While I do find some of the critters that attack to be annoying af (crabs and parasites, especially) I haven't really been spooked by anything.
Yet.

I didn't find Loc Muinne too bad unless you are talking about the sewers!!!! I hated that in TW2 you always seemed to get the best armour late in a section of the game, especially the one you get at Loc Muinne the Vran armour. You no sooner get it and the game is pretty much over. That said for I actually quite enjoyed TW2 and being able to play it from both sides!!!!

So yesterday, Alexios killing Chrysis was the highlight of the game. Did quite a few quests and killed multiple merc's including 2 or 3 in tiers above me which got Alexios to Tier 2. Have decided that I am going to change back to Kassandra and get her to level 99. Was going to just pick up where I left off and do contracts etc. but think I'll start a new NG+ using her last save as that gives me the opportunity to get more ability points via the Stele etc. Alexios was growing on me, his humour is slightly different to Kass but still the VA difference nags at me all the time. Will pick up this PT again at some time but want to get Kass levelled up as far as I can before I play all the Atlantis DLC. Alexios Pics: The most satisfying kill of the game: Thanks Chloe The Brittle for moving me to tier 2, another one it merc. Scenery
