Is it unnatural to love family members or is Foltest implying something else? ... I'd not think of that.
Foltest got it on with his sister, Adda, who died in childbirth. He named the daughter Adda after her, who also supposedly died at birth. However, the daughter was cursed into becoming a striga, not actually dead. Geralt (years before the first game) cured her of the curse. There is a long cutscene before the first game starts showing what happens.
Adda, the daughter, is a character in the first Witcher game. One of the side plots is that she has been re-cursed and Geralt has to uncurse her again (or kill her). If she survives, she ends up married to Radovid (who isn't a lunatic yet in game 1).

eeewww. Ill fated the daughter is because Radovid is going to go down.

I finished the battle for the castle. I was sort of expecting something when Ciri fell to her knees and threw back her head after the old witcher killed himself to prevent her from surrendering to the Wild Hunt.
I asked for aid from Velen, Nifguard, Skellige (never can remember the city name, I'm confusing it with the Black Ones). Didn't bother asking the Emperor because I looked up to see the consequences of asking his help.

So finished the Naxos side of finding mum and next Kass is off to find Dad after handing in a few completed quests.
Completed going to Paros and clearing everything and reducing the Nation Power to zero, took down the Quarry undetected (its one of the tougher ones IMO) and took care of a couple of mercenary including one Red Skull who was in the top tier. For once my patience and the gods were on my side, I marked her and whilst I completed other things checked out her routine and then set up an ambush.
Cleared the camp of soldiers nearby so she'd get no help and waited in cover for her to come sit her anointed spot, filled her full of poisonous arrows then waited for her to come find me, hit her with RA and then HS and whilst she was on the ground ran for a place I knew had cover. That's where the gods helped as I ran to my spot I ran into an Alpha Wolf, I had cleared the site of the other wolves previously but the Alpha hadn't spawned. So when the mercenary followed me she actually distracted the wolf from me and got stuck fighting it, I climbed a pillar and effectively became hidden and then chained RA from the merc to the wolf to the merc again and that's all she wrote!!!!! Happy Days!!!!!
Other than that did some side quests (including taking Xenia's brother back to Keos, he'd been on the Adrestia for ages) and quite a lot of sailing and ship fighting.

Someone died and made Kaira queen. Actually a loads of people have died. Like the list of bodies is probably enough for two binds of books. As for the Queen part it has been going as expected. Should rename my kingdom the Worried Kingdom. Because that is what it is. Always. As for Queenly duties have mostly just been sticking my head in the sand and telling them to bugger off. Just leave and let me rot in peace :C. Valerie's looks got a downgrade since her scar is gone. Granted it doesn't really matter to me since she prefers sausages, but the little icon is a bit less pleasant now. The tepid love affair with Tristian seems to be over. Which is sad for my ego but no big loss otherwise. Did look it up to be sure, and well, it was never going to work out anyways and there is no way I reloading back there. And now there is a never ending period of nothingness. Aka time I should probably be spending managing and improving my kingdom...but too annoyed to bother with it now. Just want stuff to happen, but it just wont. D: So the run might be put on ice for now. But in good news we did kill that Cave Lizard, easily since we were super over leveled and stuff, but now we own a top hat which I don't have anyone using .
Also been having this infuriating itch to restart Halimar's run. Wont profit from it in the slightest but...

So played...ugh...8 games of baseball. 6-2. And my offense has been quite...horrendous...again for some reason. Probably my fault. But yeah it has been a bit frustrating. The good news is my pitching is on point as ever. I think at one point I pitched something like 27 scoreless innings with my rotation and starters. Me went 8 innings and struck out 15 with 2 H and 1 BB. Sale bounced back from his last start where he took the loss with 8 scoreless innings of his own, then Strasburg came in and went 7 scoreless. Last game I played went 15 innings though and I won with a sac fly by Eduardo Nunez to win 4-3. My bullpen with Eduardo Rodriguez and Nathan Eovaldi three 8 scoreless innings.

TW III
After the battle of Kaer Morhan, I took the trouble to talk to everyone who has something to say. Then off to the rest. Yen and Triss went off to secure more help for the fight. Ciri in the meantime, took training from the elf.
I was careful with Ciri since I'm aware how Geralt respond to her would affect her fate. So when she came out frustrated with her lesson, I chose to lighten her up with a snowball fight. After that, I agree to her plan to take the fight to the Crones and the elven general.
Once that event was over, Geralt and Ciri moved to Novigrad. There, I finished the elven's sage's quest first, then Ciri's. She said she's glad Geralt and Yen are together again. I don't know if this line also plays for Triss. She caught up with some old friends and an enemy down in the gutters.
Once that's done, went to see Yen and got one of the sorceress out of the prison. The first thing she said to Geralt was his going with Ciri to kill the elven general. I thought she would be mad so I chose to answer the plan was Geralt's. She called him a liar. Well, then, she knew him too well. Geralt thought she would be angry but she said she's not. It was Ciri's decision and she was glad Geralt went with her. It could have gone bad, she's aware of that. It's clear she thought Ciri capable, mature to decide for herself.
After finishing Yen's quest, went to see Triss and the first words out of her mouth was a rebuke at Geralt for the mad plan of killing the elven general. What a world of difference between the two ladies. It's understandable that she's worried the event would go horribly wrong, that Geralt shouldn't have taken the risk. She didn't ask who came up with the plan, she pinpointed it on Geralt. Anyway, off to do her quest.
Edit. Radovid's dead and Dijiska (sp?) is dead too. Presently in Skellige and I'm reminded of a SQ where I've to use a sheep as bait to kill a forktail. The sheep survived and was following me all over the place. I led it back to the village and hurriedly hightailed it out of there. I wonder if it would show up at the end credits. That would be fun but I doubt it.

TW III
Finished the game. Ciri survived and became a witcher. Geralt and Yen retired to who knew where, lots of baths, late mornings and what nots. Boring I'd say. Probably not boring for them but after, let's say a few decades, they'll want to move some. Besides, I'm sure Ciri will bug Geralt and Yen about some monsters or some wraiths or some tough contract that she needs help with. Or maybe Dandelion fell into a horse trough that she couldn't get him out of. So with Ciri going witcher, the line of the Elder Blood ended with her. Good, bad? *shrug* No idea.
I bought the game with the DLCs; they come as a package, I have not played them yet. I'm also uncertain about NG+ now that I've seen the interaction between Geralt and Yen. I also looked up Yen's background, how the spell that bind them came about. Frankly, I have to say Yen goes with Geralt.
Obsidian Gryphon Blood And Wine is actually better than the main game and better than 90% of all full games imo. Another 30 hours or so of great storytelling. Do not miss it!!!

No worries, I plan to continue with the PT and finish the DLCs.

Incidentally, I found that CDRed chopped off a scene from the Ugly Baby quest. Or rather the one where they were turning Uma back to himself. At the point where Yen had to keep holding the spell for hours, she told Geralt she's hungry and to go cook something for her. The dialogue is freaking funny and the sequence after. Why the heck they cut it out? It can be replaced via console command. Too bad I missed this.

Sprained my ankle, so I've been marathon-ing The Technomancer. I've finished it, and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the story and characters. Tho the Earth reveal which wasn't a huge surprise was pretty meh. Gameplay wise I pretty much just stayed with the Rogue combat style throughout the game, with a little technomancy mixed in. I liked Rogue a hell of a lot more than the other styles, mainly because of its dodge and the pistol for ranged attacks. The gameplay loop on Ophir was repetitive as hell tho. Its funny, you're supposed to be a wanted man in Ophir but you still run around beating everybody up.

I didn't enjoy MG+ in all honesty, I did one PT then started an NG+ got to Novigrad and stopped and started a new PT.
If you enjoy Yen from your TW3 experience then there is probably no point just doing a PT of TW3 to experience the Triss romance as it is solidly built on TW2's interactions with Triss and choices you have to make at the end of that game in particular help shape that without spoiling anything.

That's my point since I've no intention of playing TW II after TW III and seeing the interaction between Geralt and Yen. The synergy / empathy between them is subtle but felt. I also found a summary of events by a poster, You-Smell-Nice, and the trio's relationship on another forum.
1)Geralt and Dandelion accidentally summon a djinn in the short story The Last Wish. Dandelion thinks that it's under his control but the genie attacks him and then rampages into a nearby city. Yennefer happens to be in the city and decides to try to take control of the djinn for herself(but she can't because its still bound to another master, to Geralt though Geralt doesn't realize it.) Despite Yennefer not wanting him to, Geralt continuously tries to help her. He comes to love her, even knowing her flaws(she used to be a hunchback but fixed it with magic.) Eventually he makes a last wish, freeing the genie and saving the city and Yennefer's life. In the games the wish is revealed to be 'them being together forever.' In the books the wish is unknown and Yennefer says "I didn't know you felt that way" and then they have sex in the partially destroyed ruins of the city.
2)Geralt and Yennefer often break up and get back together. Yennefer cheats on him with a sorcerer at one point, and says that she can't choose between the sorceror and Geralt, that she loves them both.
3) During one of these break ups, Triss Merigold is jealous of Yennefer and decides she wants to see firsthand what Yen sees in Geralt. Geralt isn't particularly interested in her, so Triss rapes Geralt. She forces him to have sex with her using mind control and then brainwashes him to make him think that it was his choice to be with her. They have a short relationship before Geralt leaves her to go back to Yennefer.
(It's also worth noting that although I say "rape," in the context of the world it's a little difficult to judge exactly how they feel about such things. Fictional worlds, different times, different customs. Rape in the modern sense isn't always treated like rape in the Witcher series. For example one of Geralt's good friends tied Yennefer up at one point, pulled off her top and started fondling her breasts in front of Geralt. Shit be weird.)
4) At about this point Ciri shows up. She is a child of destiny promised to Geralt by his own taunting of fate. She is orphaned and Geralt takes her as his foster daughter. At Kaer Morhen, Triss treats Ciri like a little sister and helps her education. As she gets older, Yennefer who has always wanted to have a child of her own, takes over Ciri's education as her foster mother.
5) Eventually during a coup Ciri is forced to flee using her powers, and Yennefer is kidnapped, labeled as a traitor to the north and forced to join the lodge of sorceresses. Geralt runs off to rescue Ciri, and Yennefer escapes from the Lodge and attempts to do the same, calling in all debts available to her to do so.
6) Triss attempts to track down Yennefer for the lodge, while the lodges spies watch Geralts progress. They learn that Geralt will soon be killed. Triss and the Lodge want to kidnap Ciri and force her to join their lodge of sorceresses. Eventually she will be forced to marry a prince/king and sire children so that the lodge can control their own country.
7) Yennefer discovers a way to reach Ciri who is by now kidnapped by a man named Vilgefortz who plans to impregnate her and use her in his horrific experiments. Yennefer contacts the lodge because she is afraid that if she fails that Ciri will have a worse fate. Yennefer talks to Triss and Phillipa, and says she will leave a trail for them to follow if she fails. Yennefer also asks that Triss to clear her name if she dies, so that Ciri won't think she is a traitor. Triss refuses, because if Ciri will be easier to control if she hates Yennefer. Yen asks Triss to at least clear her name to Geralt. Triss refuses because it will Geralt likely to try to avenge her, besides Triss and Phillipa tell her that Geralt will be dead soon. Yennefer begs Triss to save Geralts life, and Triss refuses to help Geralt because it will make Ciri Harder to control if Geralt is alive.
8) Yennefer risks everything to save Ciri and ends up captured, with all of her men dead in the attempt. Geralt learns the location of Ciri and lies to the Lodges spies who he knows are watching him.
9) Triss watches from afar rather than risking her life, as the lodges agents(Including Keira Metz) attempt to storm the castle and save Ciri however as they were lied to, they find nothing.
10) Geralt and his A team bust into the castle where Ciri and Yen are being held. They eventually succeed, but the Emperor of Nilfgaard shows up, claims Ciri for himself. Geralt and Yen are given an ultimatum and realizing struggling is futile they decide to commit suicide together. The Emperor has a change of heart/plans however and stops them right before they do it, he agrees to let them go free. They realize that struggling is pointless though, the lodge will hound them to the end, and take Ciri by force. They unhappily agree to surrender Ciri and Yennefer takes Ciri to the lodge.
11) The lodge rules that Ciri will no longer be allowed to hang out with Geralt(and I believe Yen as well?) that she must only be tutored by the lodge as her education is finished out. Ciri wants to be allowed to see Geralt one last time and so the lodge votes on whether to allow her to or not. Triss votes to let her. Yennefer uses her defacto not yet revoked status as an unwilling member of the lodge to cast a vote as well, turning the tie in Ciri's favor.
12) Yennefer and Triss take Ciri to see Geralt one last time however riots erupt as they enter the city. Ciri immediately runs into the city because she fears for Geralt. Yennefer and Triss argue. Triss say's it's certain death and that they should get help from the lodge. Yennefer ignores her and charges into the city to save Geralt and Ciri. Triss flees from the city to get help.
13) Yennefer is almost immediately pelted by rocks from rioters, bloodied and beaten she falls, when suddenly Triss shows up. She changed her mind and came back to help Yennefer, together they cast a spell that clears the crowd and find their way to Geralt who is dying from a pitchfork wound.
14) Triss calls it hopeless but Yennefer tries to save Geralt's life. With all her might, with the last of her magic she strains to heal him, but beaten and bloody it is too much for her. Having exhausted herself with her healing spell she falls besides Geralt and they both die together on the pavement.
15) Ciri shows up and curses the fact that she renounced her powers of magic, that she could have saved their lives if she hadn't. With help Ciri loads Geralt and Yennefer onto a boat and then sails into the mists. Triss lets Ciri go.
16) In Game lore ; Geralt and Yennefer are resurrected and left to their own devices, but the wild hunt attacks. Geralt eventually escapes and finds his way back to Kaer Morhen with amnesia. Triss takes advantage of Geralt's amnesia and pretends to be Yennefer so that Geralt will love her. Geralt can pursue a relationship with her in the first game or choose not to. Triss continues to spy on Geralt and report to the lodge.
17) Triss and Geralt are in a relationship by default. The player can choose to be in love with her, or to just be having sex with her. Triss attempts to use the lodge's support to clear Geralt's name as a kingslayer, however the lodge refuses. Geralt can choose to save Triss or let Letho do it for him. Geralt learns of Yennefers location.
18) Geralt and Triss break up before the third game and Geralt runs off to find Yennefer.
I don't know if the summary is a 100% correct but in my search regards Triss, no where was it ever mentioned that she was honest with Geralt when it was clear he had amnesia. Also looked up cutscenes from TWII. Her dishonesty and schemes are factors against her.
In TW III. Geralt had a conversation with Yen regards the period of absence. They were both captured by the Wild Hunt and they managed to escape separately. She thought he escaped safe and sound and would look for her. Instead he lost his memories. I noted that Geralt did not talk about the point of this failure; Triss not revealing everything to him. Clearly he did not want to talk about it nor lay blame. That said alot about his char.
Music of TW III. I can't stand the lelelele part that plays when Geralt wins a fight. That drove me up the wall. However there is a haunting vocal piece that plays in Skellige that reminds me of DAO. I can't recall any other piece of music other than these two. The the first an irritant, the second a soothing melody.

Seconded and Hearts of Stone isn't too bad.
HoS is some of their best storytelling imo. It's where paying really close attention pays off with the narrative.

TLDR the numbered points.
In TW2 there is one particular scene that turns into one of the best video game romance scenes I have ever watched and prior to that Triss and Geralt have a conversation and Triss is completely upfront, open and honest with Gearalt. She specifically says she does not want to take advantage of his amnesia. The quest is actually proposed by Triss to find a rose of remembrance to help Geralt cure his Amnesia.

I saw that one. True, it is a romantic part...with Geralt still not having all his marbles. The only true honesty of the trio's relationship is in TW III where Geralt has his memories and able to view the two women with a clear light.
The game allows player choice, canon does not. Yennefer is Geralt's true love in the books. Some would prefer triss, some would prefer Yen. No argument there. I chose Yen because I understand / empathise with what I've seen and read of her char.

Not sure I agree, there are things that happen in the previous two games that as the player, playing as Geralt if you haven't played them that I do not think you can make a fully informed decision when Geralt gets his "marbles" back in TW3. Some people choose Yen and some choose Triss and it makes very little difference re Yen I the first two games as she is only alluded to, but it makes a big difference re Triss because whole arcs etc are built around her especially in TW2.

However, not going to play the first two, no interest. Also, that's a problem isn't it? A one side view because the first two are, as you said, the arcs are built around Triss. Nothing about Yen. I'm going by the third where the two women are present, irregardless who has more or less equal screen time, well, I made my choice.
The game allows player choice, canon does not. Yennefer is Geralt's true love in the books.
What you read was an online justification for choosing Yennifer. If you want to know what was in the books, you should read them yourself.
That is true which is why I said I'm not sure if the post I found is 100% accurate. However, it's undeniable Geralt did what he did for Yen, the wish. He did meet her first and their relationship was more than a side fling despite their splitting up a few times.
I made the choice playing the third game and on little information about the two except that Yen was Geralt's gf before Triss showed up, that he had a relationship with Triss during the time he had amnesia. By the time I progressed near end game, I did not see any problem with my choice. I felt Yen suit Geralt.
So end of discussion about who's the better GF for Geratlt.
