I've been playing Skyrim for the last month or so. If you asked me when I started that Pickpocket would end up being one of my favourite skills I would never have believed you, I hardly ever pickpocket in Fallout for instance. I've almost got my Pickpocket skill to 100 for the second time, I promoted it because it was such an easy skill to level. Problem is I'm running out of NPC's with expensive valuables for faster levelling, I've robbed everyone apparently. Haha. Also, some Imperial Soldiers were practising Archery, I pickpocketed the guys bow right out of his hands. LOL. LOL that's funny re the pickpocket skill, a friend put me onto it and through cheating (changing the skill to 150 or something) we got it high enough to actually steal peoples clothes off them. Whole towns would be walking around in there underwear.

Witcher 1
Just about done with chapter 1, I think. I've taken care of the main quest errands. This time I didn't give the elves the weapons from the hawker - I was quite put out in my first game when they ended up killing a guy I needed to talk to with those very weapons I let them have. So, a bit of meta-gaming going on with that decision this time. I can't remember how to get into Odo's dog's house where he's hiding something and it's bugging me to no end. And for Mikul's dead girlfriend, why can't I talk to Abigail about the potion the girl drank? Ugh, so frustrating sometimes!
I gave the ghoul blood to Kalkstein after saving him from Salamandra thugs, beat Odo a couple more times at dice poker (after much reloading!), and finally went to talk to the reverend to set up the showdown with "the beast." Went to check on Abigail and Alvin but they aren't in her hut anymore.
Only needed one reload while escorting the waitress back home - stupid girl trying to take on 3 barghests with only a dagger.
Damn the first time I played that escorting the waitress back almost broke me and ever since I have hated the escort quests in any game. Re Odo's dog I think there is something you have to read in the quest journal that gives you a clue and then I think its gated till later near the end of the chapter. Sorry memory of it isn't great.

AC Syndicate. I like jumping on boats at the Thames. Those single boats with one guy at the end. I collected all the musical boxes so I'll be seeing that cloak soon. Presently doing a lot of zig zagging across London, grabbing the collectibles. Encountered these group of kids playing hopscotch. I remember my friends used to play the rectangular type (modern version) but I've no idea where the handyman of the school came up with the snail. He drew a snail, with the home base at the end of the spiral. I think there were more than 10 in the court. The snail, was of course, very popular. Most kids rushed to it during break.

We are fortunate to live in a cul de sac with multiple kids, growing up our kids and the other kids would draw hopscotch all over the road the footpaths and anywhere else available!!!! My kids also went to a primary school (5 to 12yo) that had a Snail version.

I've been trying for months to come up with a reason to side with the elves this time around and I haven't been able to come with anything story based, especially after reading the books and learning the Scoi'atiel were Nilfgaard patsies the whole time. All I have is "I didn't do it last time," but I don't know if that will be enough, especially considering when I did help them, they screwed me over anyway.
I think I have an inventory mod installed too, one that removes stack size limits or something like that. I sided with the Scoiatel the first time but never again after they as you said "screw you over" afterwards. They're more sympathetic in TW2 thanks to Iorveth's arc. He actually has a change of heart. Also, I'm playing this underrated classic:

It probably is 100 I honestly can't remember its been so long since I played Skyrim. Have tried a few times again but I just can't stick with it after about 20hrs, plus I end up spending so much time loading MODS that puts me off in itself.

Also, I'm playing this underrated classic: Yeah that's true and I don't mind Iorveth but I usually do that path more because I like Saskia and that story but Vergen is enough to put me off playing that path TBH. It's a damn maze of a damn city and so I usually do Roche's path.

Finished chapter 1 and made it to Vizima. While running towards the gate with Shani I noticed a lot more dead townspeople than I had killed after killing the hellhound. Not sure what got them.
Refused Siegfried's help with the cockatrice. I like him but wanted to pick the other option this time to see what it changed. Turns out his "failure" got him guard duty at the hospital so I didn't have to jump through hoops in order to get in.
My refusal to let the elves take the weapons landed Vivaldi the ex-banker in jail so I had to bail him out. At least he didn't get shot dead like the other guy did before I could even talk to him!
I've started on Kalkstein's quest for the mage tower, which I've just noticed is under the "main" quest list and not side quests. It makes sense, but might have helped me plan better my first time through if I'd paid attention.
I've picked up all the contracts (still refuse to kill any dogs for the gravedigger) and am now headed to the Hairy Bear for some fun and games. I spent a bunch of money on books for the bestiary entries, now I need to win some of that money back!

Nice, one of my pet peeves with the game is the detection radius of the items that you need to buy a premium map for with purchased currency or at least unlocked by completing in-game achievements versus the other items. I have enough currency to buy the premium maps so I am going to do that and see if they carry forward after I archive my complete save.

Did you sort out Odo's dog? No Was there anything in your journal about it? I think when you are there and you try and investigate it, Geralt should say something to himself about the dog seeming to be guarding something and an entry should appear in your journal. Then I think another quest leads you back there near the end of chapter 1 to find out why those plant things (Echinops - they only grow for a specific reason) are growing there and its something about finding someone's brother IIRC.

I unlocked the Perfect Touch skill in the Pickpocket tree in Skyrim. In lets you pickpocket the clothes right off NPC's. I was kinda hoping I could reverse pickpocket clothes onto NPC's but they wont equip anything, even if they are standing around with no clothes on. You can drop stuff on the ground and sometimes people will come up and ask if they can have whatever you dropped, but even if you let them they wont pick it up. Kind of an unfinished game mechanic there.
Also, if you drop an expensive object on the floor in the Tavern in Riften two NPC's will fight to the death over it. LOL.

Then I think another quest leads you back there near the end of chapter 1 to find out why those plant things (Echinops - they only grow for a specific reason) are growing there and its something about finding someone's brother IIRC.
I did the quest with no problem. After drink-bargaining with Odo, Geralt goes out and kills the echinops in the yard. Once done, the dog comes 'round and howls, and Geralt mentions the dog appears to be protecting something. However, after that the dog disappeared and I couldn't ever get the doghouse to show me anything.
I didn't find anything at the doghouse earlier either, before the quest was activated. At that point, the dog had just run from the yard around to his house but nothing opened then either.
Oh well.
I think I mentioned this the first time I played but the game seems to want things done in a very specific order and you miss a lot of clues/build up if you skip things or don't do them in the preferred order. Yet, the quests can still be completed allowing you to advance the game. (That part is good; I hate being stuck because I flubbed the steps somehow and have to go back and redo a bunch of stuff to get it right. Not to mention trying to avoid spoilers in the process if you need help.)

Found this on Steam re Odo's dog. It doesn't say but I think there is another quest that you have to investigate and that leads you to what Odo is howling about and why The Echinops are there. As you said it has some quests that are pedantic about the order you do them in, I can't remember if you are supposed to only kill the Echinops when you go back for the other quest to find out what the dog is guarding but it's nagging at me that maybe that is the case. steamcommunity.com/app/20900/discussions/0/350542683196826190/

So I played the Show. I played a lot of the Show. I played too much of the Show considering I should have been trying to bull rush Odyssey so I could get ready for the DLC which is dropping tonight. Hmmm maybe I can play that tonight when it finishes installing.
Anyways I am now passed the All star break and my winning streak ended at 30. Lost two more games since then but I am also up to a record of like...I think actually 88-13 in the game. Personally I have finally gotten past my inability to get through the seventh with two straight starts of 7 innings pitched. At least. And an eighth...dear god I really did play a lot. Anyways I had eighteen strikeouts in that one game.
Strasburg has had some bad luck on his last two starts. As I lost both games when the bullpen couldn't hold and gave up the lead. Ryan Brasier and Eduardo Rodriguez took the losses. The third loss came when Price got tagged for 9 Earned over five innings of work against the Tigers. I made it interesting when I kept chipping away but still lost 9-8.
Martines has gotten red hot again in the wake of Chavis getting hot. He's hit like 10 Home Runs for me recently and his hitting streak is now up to 32 games. He has 28 Home Runs and 88 RBIs on the year now. Moreland finally hit his tenth and Devers also hit his tenth. Probably the nicest offensive play for me was when they intentionally loaded the bases bringing Devers up in a tie game. He roped a single passed third which broke the tie and scored two. Also Kimbre is up to 35 saves coincidentaly.
Betts is now up to 15 Home Runs and has fallen a bit behind in the RBI race only with 72.
And yeah that pretty much does it.

I took some time and archived my Assassin's Creed: Syndicate save file before using the delete option in the game. Going that way at least seems to reset some aspects of the game, but the map purchases I have made with the premium currency I earned playing the game were still there. It looks like the twins are still geared the way I left them in my save, but they were using DLC gear so it might be just that I have access to that from the very start. I will update when I get to a point where I can mess around with my gear and see more of what is saved and not for I noticed some of the things the game tracked were reset and others were not.
Forgot to mention I finished the opening foundry mission for Jacob and did it fairly stealthy and just finished decoupling the train with Evie. Definitely fits better into the times I can play the game over Odyssey which is a bit of a shame for I really want to play Odyssey and at this rate it might be a decade before I can.

melbella, if you're going to continue on to W2 after W1, check out the Things Missed in Oxenfurt video I posted over at the CDPR W3 thread. There's something very interesting bit about a potion. I didn't know Ciri could do the Jedi thing in W3. Glad I found out about that titbit.

Jin gets a lot of flak for the whining and complaining she does.
But how many of us could have taken that like a champ...? O.o

Yeah thinking about playing Oddysey soon. Wantt ofinish up wha tI'm diong currently on my sports games first though but I d ohave a plan qand assu8ming I can stick to it I should be good. My planis once I've done what I'm doing on my F1 games I'll play through Rise of the TR again then do another playthrough of Shadow for the DLC's given I've not played any of the DLC's yet then do another Dragon Age run befoer tacvkling AC Oddysey. Must damit I'm looking forward to it assuming I stick to the plan..
