I don't have the Jack the Ripper DLC. Not buying it either. Oh I think a reprimand is in order, along with grudging admission / praise for what they did. Something, anything, not silence. Nothing on the leaders of the group in that time, nothing on the status of the Assassins except that they're too weak / bad leadership that they couldn't go up against the Templars in London. I'm pretty much done with the game since I finished up the main story so I've already uninstalled it. Did you do the WW1 part? I actually liked that part and the assassin you play, Lydia. assassinscreed.fandom.com/wiki/Lydia_Frye I also liked the Jack The Ripper DLC it was quite dark and I sucked at the final battle but I thought it was really well done in terms of feel, the maps and the characters. The WW1 section was one of the most beautiful levels I've seen in a game. Gameplay was meh but goddamn it was pretty.

dazk The turtle kinda looked like the snapping turtle, just like x20 bigger, so give him some fuzzy legs some teeth and ears and I think you might be onto something. And it's terrifying. ---- So today I played through Oxenfree. And I hated it and I feel awful and how dare you. But yeah it was a pretty nifty game. Did try a round two but honestly just felt completely drained after the first run, so it was an interesting experience. Not sure if I pick it up again or not. But at least got to the point where I was denied a hashbrownie. How dare he! I know he has two. That little monster. After all I did for him...Which granted was nothing, but how dare he none the less. Then may or may not have spent way to much time on a dating clicker before getting it in my thick skull that it was just a time eater. Hmmm. But it was a decent session none the less.

I loaded up my old England game in Civ V again. Continued the comeback buildup. Got the East India wonder, another important cornerstone for my situation. Now my finances are good and I can increase my military somewhat. Important to keep the vultures away why I toil on. Having only 3 cities does have some advantages. I can build all the national wonders sooner, as long as I don't found another city. Otherwise, I'm pushing Science now. That will be critical. So I also need to pull back my diplomats to serve as defensive spies.
Looking good, I think.

I just set up Steam family share with a friend of mine and he just bought Wolfenstein Youngblood but he also went on vacation yesterday. Thus I ended up playing it on release day, that's something that barely ever happens. Anyway, I just checked it out briefly and did the first level. I haven't played oldblood or Wolfenstein 2, just the first one of the reboots but Young Blood strikes me as very similar in atmosphere and general feel. I was surprised how much story there seems to be. There was a very long intro cutscene and another equally long on between the first and second mission. Quite weird for a coop game, but hey, i won't complain. Though the story, ah, well, it's Wolfenstein, what can you expect in the first place. The whole alternative Nazi timeline is not really my thing. The sisters come across as annoying late teens but at least they seem somewhat authentic in that role. I played on my own yesterday, which works perfectly fine (at least in the first level). The other chick just runs along and shoots a little. I'm sure one could be much more efficient in coop. Hpwever, I was surprised there is so much collectible stuff. Everywhere you can pick up cions which you need for upgrades and such. This strikes me as weird because it encourages you to search each part of the level thoroughly, somewhat slowing the flow of the game. Alone, this was no problem but in coop, I can only imagine that it's crappy if one guy wants to check out the place while the other just wants to move on. Then there was the first boss, who actually gave me a little trouble because I didn't quite realize at first that he could get invisible and then reappear somewhere. Killed me twice that way but it was probably mostly me being dense and fortunately, you have multiple lives in this game. Anyway, first impression: Kinda fun but nothing to write home about. If anyone wants to play coop with me (who is a total noob in anything MP), let me know. I think I even have a buddy pass, though I am not sure it would work with the shared version of the game.

Finally got to play a bit more Witcher last night.
I'm close to the end of Chapter 2, getting the last sephirot from "Raymond" before heading back to the swamp. I've completed all the side quests I've come across except for finding the missing swamp boy (I'm back at Gramps' door to see if he sings a different tune this time) and taking sides in the knights vs elves fiasco. I think I need to finish the kid quest in order to get something from Vaska for the vodyanoi altar but I could be mis-remembering. Once that's done, I'll place the rest of the sephirot and head to the mage tower for a fun bout of ass-kicking by Javed and the Professor.

I think you are right about finding the boy. This always comes to mind when I think of the Witcher 1, it's fun to walk around the house saying it and getting weird looks from my family!!!!

So, being in the valley with all the big settlements means there's big hills, right. On the return trip with the helo. You can barely make out Mike 2 and if you're a cat, Machifazar. We goin' to save people now! This felt like a minigame.

Right now I am trying to figure out how to stop the darkness from spreading in banner saga 3. I'm playing as Iver now, and I'm starting to think Juno and Eyvind are the true antagonist and they may betray me at some point. Anyway great game series.

Witcher 1
Progressed to Chapter 3 after getting knocked out by Javed while he and his buddy escaped. Rescued by Triss, who was apparently spying the whole time, only for her to jump Geralt's bones before he was even able to think clearly.
Teleported back to the swamp to get paid by Kalkstein, who was puttering around the tower like a kid in a candy shop.
Cleaned out the Salamanders' fisstech operation in the sewers. Need to follow up with Jethro on killing the leader.
Found Alvin again, and sent him to Shani this time. Holy smokes, Shani is just awful in this game. I have at no point indicated any interest in her at all, yet as I stepped out of Kalkstein's house she immediately demanded to know, "What were you doing in that witch's house?" Uh, jealous much? A. None of your business and B. None of your business. I couldn't get a word in edge-wise to actually explain to her who Alvin was and why he was so dangerous. Anyway, I ended up telling Dandelion to take the kid to Shani just because I didn't want to deal with her attitude if I didn't. Then when I went to check on him, Shani declared her love for Geralt. He's not interested!!!!
Told Triss what happened so of course she was mad and told Geralt to get out. She had her party dress on but I don't feel like heading over to the diplomatic gathering just yet.
Met up with Dandelion and Zoltan for another few rounds of drinks, then found out Dandelion uh, "lost" his lute and wanted Geralt to go get it for him. What are friends for? I got the lute but I'm taking my sweet time returning it.
Picked up some new contracts, a few for stuff I already have, but Velerad isn't at his post yet so I can't turn them in.

Six games down in the Show, all six wins... Up to 100 wins on the season (100-13 record) JD Martinez has a 44 game hitting streak now. His most significant game was a 2 HR game with 3 RBIs to help me win 6-4 against the Rays. He now has 29 HRs and 93 RBIs on the season. Kimbrel blew his first save in that game. But has saved everything since. He is now 43/44 in save opprotunities this season. I was one friggin out away from another no hitter with Sale but Jacoby frickin Elsbury (formerly of the Red Sox) hit a home run to make it a 2-1 game. Grr. I had perhaps one of my best game's on the mound. Sadly my offense didn't show up in support. Yanks hit a game tying Home run off of me in the seventh to make it 1-1...but I stuck with...myself...and went to the eigth where the offense finally came alive as I put three of my own on the board to give me my twentieth win. In a non game related note the in game Braves put Josh Donaldson on claims. Since my thirdbasemen hasn't always been the best, and was struggling since his injury I put a claim on him. Well seems they withdrew said claim but Devers is hitting again and even made a couple nice defensive plays.

ACOD Kass is 99. yay, now I don't have to bother with upgrading her armour and equipment. I've only the ship to upgrade. Everything is proceeding as usual except for a glitch at a ruin; I could not find the ancient tablet so the achievement for the place is not complete. Later I went to watch the Detroit couple play some games. They're not "hardcore" Twitch streamers nor gamers so they only play once or twice a week. I watched their gameplay of Life Is Strange. It is frustrating to watch them FIU in the maze stage of chapter five because they kept rewinding unnecessarily (putting Max in front of Jefferson as a result) and they failed to realise they had to watch the patrol patterns. They became frustrated when they kept failing and failing though they did eventually get through in the end. And I get to and at newbie gamers. I'm sure I was as dumb when I started out playing games so many years ago.

It was a LOOOONG night, let me tell you. A literal black helicopter of unknown origin, shot down by the Livonia Defence Forces SAM net. I wonder if the AK I found inside, the fact that this is a Ka-60 manufactured by Kamov who are based in Russia and the Cyrillic writing on nearby stuff is any indication... You can actually jam, hack and detect enemy UAV/UGVs with the new Spectrum Device. Excellent thing. Here shown in action while single-handedly taking the crash site shown higher up. It... didn't go without a healthy dose of electronic warfare. In the end, with the assistance of Russian SpetsNaz, we took the Groud Zero. The Ayyy Lmaos fucked off God knows where, but that is OK. They told us - and by us, I mean Spc. Rudwell - enough before they did. Long story short, I actually very much enjoyed this. Towards the end, the fear of the ETs was gone, I referred to them as "my buddies" and actually ended up seeking them out on one occasion. The final "conversation" with one of them, consisting of him properly mind fucking Rudwell, has shown the entire picture, something they were trying to provide ever since the first attempt at contact. It also shows how First Contact can go to shit, in a similar way to what we're told ME First Contact War was. The Aliens attempt to communicate, but physiological incompatibility makes them not be very effective and look like they're seriously harming someone. Everyone opens up, it becomes a clusterfuck of epic proportions, and... You have to spend an entire night running around forests seeking out anomalies, aliens and dodging patrols. Stealth and electronic warfare are both absolutely vital to success. And in the end, a third party appears and takes the whole place for themselves.

Only 1 game of baseball. Porcello was pitching. He got hurt (though not bad) and I beat the Yankees 4-2. Brock Holt who has not played for ages since he has been ice cold at the bat lately and I have been playing a lot of left handed pitching came up big. 2 hits, 2 RBIs, and a run scored. JD continues his hit streak at 45 and Moreland had a two run HR.

Played some more Superhot VR yesterday. I really should set up a camera and video tape myself while playing this, it would be hilarious to watch later. At one point, to escape some bullets flying towards me, I very slowly lowered myself to the floor, while stretching my hand up as far as I could to catch a shotgun, than, while still prone, I crawled around the edge of a (virtual) table to shoot the final guy with it without exposing myself too much. This dam game really should be subtitled "VR Yoga class - while you shoot things."

Finished Life Is Strange. I like Chloe but I didn't like it when she tried to bully Max; do this thing for me or I'm not gonna be friend zone with you, niah niah. Then there's that instance she dared Max to kiss her; wth would I do that for? Nope. I like Max too but sometimes she's really wishy washy and very emotional that we're definitely miss-matched. I don't feel what you feel little lady. Sorry. Anyway, I did the same thing as I did in the first PT; Bye Chloe ACOD Landed in Messara. I wasn't feeling generous in the Civil Unrest quest when I tried to stop the attack on a guard's family and the NPC responded aggressively. Every civilian in that area came for me so I sent them to Hades. Got a three helmet bounty which I wasn't worried over. From tier 6 mercenary, I went to tier three in two hours, thanks to all the nut head mercenaries seeking to get the gold on Kass's head. Save me the trouble of looking for them. By the by, everything is upgraded (armour, equipment and ship) so from now on, I'm just accumulating mats and gold.

Witcher 1
Played a bit more last night, spending most of my time in the swamp. Kikimores have suddenly infested everywhere. They are in the trade quarter and the swamp both, yet Geralt didn't see nary a one in the swamp just last week. Hmmm.....methinks someone recently disturbed a nest?
Rescued brickmakers from salamander thugs and finally found the missing boy from last chapter. I checked the cave several times and it was empty except for wolves. How the hell did he end up there with the mooks? Anyway, Vaska was happy the boy as well as the villagers were back unharmed, so happy she gave Geralt a.....Water Lord blessing.
Beat the Hierophant at dice poker after getting him to agree to help vs the sals. Apparently they moved their drug making operation to the swamp after Geralt shut down the sewer facility, and have been bugging the druids for better drug ingredients.
Found Carmen (a prostitute Geralt supposedly talked to in chapter 2 even though I don't recall doing so) and found out her boyfriend is a werewolf she's trying to cure. I don't remember this quest from my previous PT, so I'm wondering if this is how Geralt finds out that Meis is a werewolf? Did he bite Carmen's BF? Er, is he Carmen's BF?
Finally gave Dandelion back his lute but I think I'll avoid his performance. IIRC, the singing is horrible. Also still avoiding the gala....Princess Adda is scary.

Re Carmen: Pretty certain she's Vincent's girlfriend and I can't remember totally but there's a quest to find the ingredients to cure him then one where I think you have to try and find a killer or investigate a warehouse and Vincent is implicated and that's when you find out he's a werewolf I believe. Ugh Dandelion is generally terrible not just his singing!!!! I like Princess Adda, she's not scary unless she's cursed!!!!!
