Been a while but now I'm running into random events in Novigrad. Not quests; you don't get any reward, but they are random events you can partake in. I don't know why I don't recall this from my first playthrough. I just ran into a group of elves accusing a human selling Fisstech to elves. There's no way to know who is guilty. You either let them kill the guy, or you kill them. That's it.

Undecided on what to do with the Whispering Hillock. Kill the spirit and the kids die. Let the spirit help the kids and the whole village dies, as do both Anna and the baron.
From Geralt's perspective, all he knows is what will happen to the kids (assuming the prisoner isn't lying). The rest is me pondering how I want the story to play out.

I do it before going to the swamp and let the spirit live, I think that gets the kids alive and The Baron alive, the wife insane and the village dead IIRC. I have no sympathy for the villagers rightly or wrongly.

I have no sympathy for the villagers rightly or wrongly. I did the same thing I did last time - killed the whatever it was under the tree. The werewolf outside was a lot easier to kill this time since I'm pretty sure I'm much higher level than I was my first game (all those gwent matches paying off). The Crones are evil, no doubt, but nobody knows what this thing is, or what it might do if let loose. I looked for Anna after talking with the Crones but couldn't find her anywhere. That she'd choose servitude to the Ladies over staying with ol' Philip isn't a point in his favor, but at least he's somewhat interested in being a better person.
Time for a quick horse race before telling the baron the bad news about his wife.

So in Madden. This team is a bit of the walking wounded but am still doing quite well in terms of offense. The Patriots are up to 10-0 in this version of the franchise.
-Brady set both the record for most Passing Yds in the game (in the game against the Panters...again.) and then the TD record against the Chargers...which that was a first time with eight touchdowns, at least in the first year of the franchise. -Gronk is hurt again, pretty minor injury but still enough to throw some things off. -However Michel is back, as is Marcus Cannon (my Right Tackle), though haven't played with him back in the lineup yet. In Sony's first game against the Broncos didn't get ANYTHING going on the ground and it was a bit of a wild game with a wild start as I ended up winning 38-28. Second game I actually had more running plays then passing plays as everyone got in on the act, ran for over 220 yards as a team and with 5 rushing TDs. Sony had two of them with 122 yards. Brady still had a descent game 280 ish yards, three TDs, one int, biggest play he hit Cooks on a one play 68 yd score after his TD. -Edelman had 12 catches on 12 targets against the Broncos. -White leads the team with 65 catches though it was nice givin ghim a break in the last game as he only had one catch. Edelman has 60. Gordon is in third, and he has 10 recieving TDs (which leads the team), then Cooks, Ryder has 30 and Gronk also has around 30.

]I'm mostly mobile gaming too. Gachas: Another Eden (logins), Last Cloudia, Magia Record - does Castlevania Grimoire of Souls count? Non-Gachas: Wizards Unite, Magikarp Jump (2nd last league), Monolisk, FFXV Pocket Edition Last boss I beat:
I played Wizards Unite as well, but after I lost my save I didn't feel like starting again. Tbh I have days where I download a few games and try them just to delete them once I play a few levels. Not many make it thru day one. I've been the same for years, only last year with my latest phone has any game stuck. I found what I like, I guess? Lv 27 in Wizards unite now, playing nearly every day (dailies or more), and just tonight I decided to walk and podcast listen for hours and I love the game for that, at least. Completed every event to date, to the point that if I mess one up, I don't know how I'll react! I've found I like some gachas if I just take them reasonably and they make sure to add more JRPG-nostalgia-triggering story and features. That all being said, I tend to have DOZENS of other games installed that are just waiting for me to try them, usually to uninstall. As such, my storage is always full. I'll be glad when I finally get around to finishing FFXVPE - even with the goal of getting all achievements/progression - as that's several GB I need free!

DMC5 Had Nero threaten to eat the bird while wielding his Pasta Breaker, which is basically a prosthetic arm with a fork. So had that going for me. Too slow on snapping the screenie so you'll have to take my word for it. Otherwise not too keen on this session. Had issues with Nero's battle music, as it wasn't playing, so just had to hack and slash to some fairly drab background music. But most of the missions were with V and Dante, who had their tunes playing alright. So that was nice. Did well on the fights though. Not really thrilled where story is going at the moment, but figure it might also be a bit of a burn out. Also doesn't help that I traversed the same fleshy halls three times this session and it's getting to be a bit enough. So hoping the spark will be back with a wee bit of a break. Did try out a tiny bit Masquerada Song and Shadows. So far it's alright. The voices are extremely pleasant and it looks lovely so far, but the combat feels a bit too hectic. But I'm in the really early stages of the game, so that might change. So had fun with that. My main PC game to progress is Masquerada! I stopped I guess 1/4-1/3 through, but I'm not starting any new PC SP game until I finish it. Next after that will be Terranigma to make my partner happy finally, then I'll consider some CRPG I have like uh, Pillars or DOS or uhuhuhuh Numinera or finally Baldur's Gate. My partner and I are going through Conarium for the horror season though.

Fallout 4. Even though Alyssa is a raider overboss, she has loyalties to the BoS, they remind her of her time in the service and they're the closest thing she has to family/friends that can be relied on. She took on the investigation on missing supplies at the BoS base at the airport. After following up on some leads, she found out it was a fellow BoS member who was stealing the supplies and using it to feeding feral ghouls. He met his fate with a swift execution on the spot. After reporting back to Kells, Maxson wanted to see her. Maxson wanted Alyssa to liberate Dr. Li from the Institute, which she did gladly. While there, her son wanted her to go to Bunker Hill and take back some synths that the Railroad had stolen from them. She did not get involved in the fighting at the Hill, she let the factions fight each other. She made her way to where the synths were and sent them back to the Institute. She had second thoughts about not getting involved. There were some non hostile Railroad agents still alive in that hideout. She killed them off, no need for witnesses to be around to tell the RR HQ about her involvement in taking the synths back. She's still playing the factions. You've been feeding these abominations? Treason! Treason deserves a swift execution. Heartwarming dialog with her son on the roof at CIT after the battle of Bunker Hill. Mission accomplished. I see you finally came out to see the real world. *After much cold hearted dialog.* Your unconditional love is overwhelming "son". You don't feel anything for these people, for me? This is just one big science experiment? Yeah, go back to hiding underground. I have no son. He died the day his father died! Raiders? Yes, I'll take my rage out on them! Run all you want, you're going to die just the same.

You guys should try perhaps King's raid it's basically a gacha with no summoning component, the heroes you are bought with the premium currency, the only gacha are the per say is the legendary weapons and gear, meaning each hero personal weapons and gear. although as the names say, you can get cool weapons and gear by raiding.

So more DMC5. Stopping yesterday was a good move since this session was a blast and pretty sure my mood back then would have ruined the fun. Session in spoilers with spoilers. And pics. Started the game with the lukewarm plan to just play maybe 2 missions and get to the Mission 15 mark. So start the mission and Dante goes right on and serenades me with a stylish hat. Do take the next mission with Nero though, because he is love, he is life. Then get saddled with V and have a little mental experience. As in he has an adventure in his head. The mission was pretty chill. Then more Nero and his battle music is back! ♫ Don't move baby time is slow ♫ So that was loads of fun. Then do a boss fight and to be honest I think there is only one boss where I knew what was expected of me. It was not this one. She was real pretty though. Then more Dante and his stylish hat. Was absolutely tickled to learn that shooting enemies with the hat, puts it on them. So stylish hats for everyone!!! Then some DMC3 trauma resurfaced as Cerberus came back. Or well, his kingly cousin. Still. Traumatic. But he was a good little doggie who did not require skills just persistence. Yay. Also love love love when Dante gets new weapons. His little flashy show off with them gives me life. Then big boss man fight, round 4. Except now his shield is gone and he's got a nice tush. ( O my god Becky...) Also dude. I've got 12 gold orbs, which the game has been force feeding me like candy. You aint got a chance. Used two orbs in the fight. The last one was a bit bitter since he was just one hit from dying when it activated. Then story drama. Very dramatic, much shocker. Not really, but was sad that I didn't spot the correlation with Urizien and Urmama sooner. Because I'm 5 and need entertainment. Did not get as traumatic memories of the Vergil fight, since I actually got in hits now and then. Still ate like 2 orbs so. ♫ Cutscene after was so worth it! And devil arm is back!!! So I can smack 'em around. Wheeee. Fight wasn't as much of a joy but the cutscene after that also made it worth it. Didn't clear the credit battles But feel I got close. Just no cigar. All in all I enjoyed the game. Did find the middle bit kinda repetitive in the area design and there were so much goodies hidden around it took forever to clear some of the missions. But the areas were still pretty cool. Dante got his snark back, which was really nice and he was full blown silly near the end. Nero was his adorable self and V was a lovely little edgelord in all his forms. Combat was fine, especially as I got more options further in the game. And also when the battle music deigned to play. Dialog was top notch in my opinion and cutscenes were always a fun affair. So yep, quite liked it. Doubt I'll be going through it on harder difficulties but never say never and all that. Then continued on with Masquerada Song and Shadows. Made it too act 2, so obviously had some form of fun. Combat is kicking my arse though, the mooks are so fast and the damage just piles on too fast for me. But it's a flashy affair at least. Also not digging the codex entries, mostly because they appear after convos so you need to skirt around the area couple of times to try and find them. Also had a few annoying moments where the plot moved on from the area before I was done exploring But on the plus side, it's still gorgeous and the voices are such a treat to listen to. Especially the main character. Looked him up and he also voices Edér from Pillars of Eternity, so no wonder he kept making me feel safe . And the story is interesting so far. So that's a massive plus too.

Fallout 4. Returned to the Institute to attend a staff meeting and found out dear old "son" has cancer and he's placing mom as his successor. Instead of talking about his cancer or having dear mommy take charge after he dies, he just says get to Mass Fusion to acquire some gizmo. Sure, no problem. Alyssa will go to Mass Fusion but it won't be in the Institutes interest. She'll be showing up with some BoS support. Went to the Sentinel site with Danse and deposed of the ghoul freaks and acquire some nukes for Liberty Prime. Danse stayed behind and Alyssa returned to BoS with the mission a success and its time to go to Mass Fusion. Everything is coming to a head now. Sure son just keep walking. Don't want to talk about your health, me in charge, our lost time, nothing. I don't know if this is bad writing, plot or they wanted the whole main quest just be cold and heartless between parent and son.

I don't know if this is bad writing, plot or they wanted the whole main quest just be cold and heartless between parent and son. Well, he does show emotion when you tell him you're gonna blow the whole place up.
One explanation could be that you're probably a synth yourself... so he's not really your son. Other than that, I'd go with Bethesda's usual writing. *g* Odd though that they got Serana in Skyrim right. She was the most Bioware-esque character they ever wrote. And it was pretty good writing too. Or maybe it was just Laura Bailey being Laura Bailey that got me so attached to the character.

Two games, I'm interested in, were for sale on Steam today, so I buyed them. One is 'What remains of Edith Finch', the other 'Unavowed'. I started playing Unavowed today and it seems to be a lot of fun. I play female and used the police background and had to laugh, when you start in a gothic club (I spent a lot of time in gothic clubs irl - and still love to go there once in a while)

Masquerada Song and Shadows. Had a grand time with it today. Made it to act 4, where I realized I read the names in the prologue wrong and the bloke was Cyrus, not Cicero. Which made way too much sense since I was wracking my brain over how Cicero would get to that point. So many eggs on my face. But yeah, had a really good time this session. Some session ponderings in spoilers. With spoilers and pics. So be careful. Started by finding the final companion Vasco. Who is love, life and the most precious thing in this damn universe. Also him + Amadea = My butt protected in combat. Then went through a pretty sad plot point about a prostitution ring involving the exploitation of single mothers. Which was not expected but not surprising either. Kalder had a small quest in between but then there was some ruin diving and a lore dump. Also one of the people from the prologue died and I was so frigging confused on how she'd return. But no. She's quite dead. Also battled a giant tree. Which put up quite the fight. For someone so rooted in one place. Hehehe. Then a festival. And Cicero, you dunce, let people finish speaking. Silly goose. But did like the little touching conversations I got there. Really nice. Then the reveal on who the Herald was (and more prologue confusion because they seemed quite on the other side of the matter there.). Made some cool new friends for a while. Then feels. By the boat load. Dirty game even managed to squeeze out a tear from me. So that was cool. Also want to note that I really like how companions are handled in the game. They chime in quite a bit, while still keeping their style. And how their quests are part of the main story and also introduce characters that are used later. It's really nice. And they are just lovely characters as well. Anyways. Then Tiziana had some content. Finally. There were feels involved. And a rotating library. And an angry bird thing. It was quite eventful. Plot then took a turn for the serious. There was fire, death and drama, so I'm guessing I'm nearing the end game. Also the point where I realized the prologue name thing. Heh. Need to find an artifact to deal with the main antagonist. But I also need sleep. ARGH. Guessing I'll wrap up tomorrow. But yeah, had a lot of fun this session.

So due to an rather interesting development...I got to play some XCOM 2 of all things. A game that has been on my radar to try, and now I get the chance.
just did the first intro mission so far and it was very, very, veerrrryyy on rails. Oh and I created a couple of people in the character pool. We'll just have to see if it grabs me enough in the future.

Witcher 3
Horse racing. Apparently you get disqualified if you go off course. Once I got turns figured out I was finally able to win. Then on the last race the other guy disappeared at the starting gate so I ran that race solo.
Told the baron about his wife holed up in the swamp and then he finished his tale of what happened to Ciri. I had to replay part of the flashback because while trying to get Ciri to climb the rock tower I hit [space] one too many times and skipped the cutscene.
Then Geralt was off to meet the baron in Downwarren. I could have fast-traveled but the area is so pretty I just rode Roach the whole way. Got dive-bombed by a frickin' wyvern right outside the hamlet. Rude!
In the swamp, the baron found his wife, and his daughter. Anna was nutso, Tamara outraged, and the Crones none too happy to lose their servant. After fighting off drowners and water hags, they finally sent a fiend after everyone but between Geralt, the witch hunters, and the baron's men, they were finally able to kill it. The baron decided to take Anna far away to hopefully heal her mind. Tamara wasn't happy about this but the witch hunter leader reminded her that her own duties precluded her from caring for her mother anyway.
After seeing them off, Geralt went on his way. His next goal is Novigrad, where Ciri headed after leaving the baron's care. But first, a final trip around Velen and surrounding areas just to make sure nothing was missed.
Along the way I ran into level 22 ghouls (did some damage but finally ran away - poor Roach sounded like she might have a heart attack from fear), then into some level 18 nightwraiths. Ran away from there too since I couldn't be bothered taking forever to do damage - took me several minutes to get one of them to half health, then it flew away and healed itself).
For now, I'm headed toward the Nilfgaard camp way in the SE corner of the map. I'll go back for the higher level beasties later, and boy are they gonna be sorry.

There was a recurring theme in pictures in The AC Odyssey thread of horse parking issues. That's a good one by Roach though!!!!

Is that the vanilla XCOM 2 or with the "War of the chosen" expansion?
The intro mission is, of course, on rails, as are a few tutorial sort of missions here and there. The game itself can get very addictive, fun or frustrating, depending on how you upgrade and how many wounded/tired soldiers you got. You can lose the game after 15+ hours campaign too.
I got so many tips on this one But you should know that losing soldiers is expected, often it's better to leave someone behind instead of facing a full squad wipe. You should be prepared to retreat at any time during a mission (saving the team) instead of going against impossible odds. Research weapons first, armor after. Don't rely on one or two veteran teams (because some of them will eventually get injured/tired/captured/killed), use rookies too to level them up (losing a rookie is never much of an issue). The game has a few surprises when you will need the extra soldiers.

And yeah I have seen Lets Plays of the game on Youtube so I have a pretty good idea of what I am doing...or at least what to expect if not what I'm doing. Not entirely sure this game will be my cup of tea, I don't really like turn based combat and think it might be too 'smart' for me but then at no additional charge it was worth picking up and I am curious to see how I can handle it. But then again the Christopher Odd's Lets Play was pretty great and it is certainly a good game to watch. The only thing I am uncertain about that is germaine to what I am doing is I created a few characters in the character pool but I just wonder if I create anymore will they show up in my current game or will I have to start a brand new game?

Two games, I'm interested in, were for sale on Steam today, so I buyed them. One is 'What remains of Edith Finch', the other 'Unavowed'. I started playing Unavowed today and it seems to be a lot of fun. I play female and used the police background and had to laugh, when you start in a gothic club (I spent a lot of time in gothic clubs irl - and still love to go there once in a while) Unavowed is fun. Your decisions affect chars and conclusion so pick your choices carefully. Sounds good

I believe they will show up in your current game in the soldier pool. But last I played was with the WotC expansion, so can't recall if this was different in vanilla. Then again you can change any soldier to whatever look you want at any time.

I forgot how much I loved Shep's snarkiness. I really need to replay ME Trilogy before the end of the year. I try to not have more than 10 games installed at a time, but sometimes, when I'm in a mood, it's hard rule to follow Maybe it's because there's more and more variety in mobile games... or maybe it's because I commute around 1,5h a day and I desperately try to find new things to occupy myself on bus ride.but Last Cloudia has picked my curiosity thanks for sharing, I should also try Dragalia Lost, but Nintendo only published this game in the UK for Europe dunno why still isn't in all europe stores. You guys should try perhaps King's raid it's basically a gacha with no summoning component, the heroes you are bought with the premium currency, the only gacha are the per say is the legendary weapons and gear, meaning each hero personal weapons and gear. Yeah, whenever I try to check online which mobile games are worth trying, they tend to not be available in my country I'm pretty sure I had King's Raid installed at one point, but I'm not certain I ever tried it, so might as well give it another go.
