Has anyone else just stopped playing?

Nope. Still playing and finding new things. Tryng new things. Experimenting and having fun!

I did finish the game once and did couple of scene re-runs to watch different choice options, but I definitely felt like that when I started a NG+ run. I didn't mind the game once I was halfway through, but the first 15-20 hours were tedious and I just couldn't bring myself to replay that. I'll probably give it another go when/if more things are patched though.

I just regained my SPECTRE status and picked up my buds Mordin and Garrus to wreak havoc on the Terminus Systems.

Finished 2 pts, getting some side quests done, preparing 3rd pt, playing mp... So no, I'm still playing and don't plan to stop anytime soon.

I'm teetering on the edge of stopping altogether with the same feeling as OP.

I started feeling like the SP (on Elaaden currently) was just a repetitive chore, and once the gameplay stopped being novel I discovered the horrible truth that (for me) the characters and story just aren't all that compelling. I picked up Bulletstorm (I know I KNOW) on sale and burned through its admittedly repetitive campaign and enjoyed myself immensely.

Then I looked at MEA and reinstalled The Witcher 3 (which I never finished before a HDD failure) and thought about how damned compelling even an insubstantial sidequest in that game was.

Then I started replaying LOZ Wind Waker (because I will likely never play BOTW) and marvelled at how tight the whole package is, from gameplay design to character art (Link's paint-on, cartoon expressions are somehow so much more alive than anything in MEA's faces). Even the story is more compelling than MEA.

I picked up on Elaaden and did the 3rd monolith sudoku thing and the samey vault with some rudimentary puzzle solving and blew up some more remnant, then quit again.

I'm trying really hard to not give up entirely, but even a 15-year old (classic, admittedly) game, that I've already played through, is so much more compelling to play right now.

I finished a game (80 hour run) with a 93% completion.

Started a New game plus + and then the patch came out (played until doing about 1/2 of Eos after making the outpost) and noticed a number of improvements! Great!

But, I have decided to wait for more patches before jumping back in! So I am taking a break for now.

140 hours in (20% on PT2).
Doing some more multiplayer now.
Remains entertaining to me.

Although MEA was obviously rushed out and was intended to be much bigger. I don't hold anything against Bioware but the publisher.

The game still has that spark i love from Bioware. It's a diamond covered in muck but it can still be polished.

I have done two plays so far and just over 8,000 Apex rating for MP. Getting ready for a third SP once the game is more stable. Because cannot get 100% complete yet because of bugs and crashes.


The game isn't what i expected at all but it's still a good game from Bioware. But my thoughts are to that of the next Dragon Age and Mass Effect Andromeda two.

Sliver lining is these mistakes can be learnt from. But the issue is EA wanted it out before the end of the quarter.

MEA - Heavily Paragon Sided.

I'm still working on my 2nd playthrough. I took the seeking off due to the holiday weekend, but will finish my 2nd playthrough. Doubt I'll do a 3rd playthrough anytime soon due to the numerous other games resently or will be realised soon. Although I do agree with many people about not caring about my squad mates.

For the most part I am enjoying this game but I do know how you feel. I did the same thing with deus ex mankind divided. I got about 15 hours in then just stopped playing and I have zero desire to finish it. It does suck since I paid full price for it. Oh well live and learn.

I've come close a few times, but it was mostly because of bugs and tech issues. I quit my Scott Ryder game because I just couldn't stand the voice coming out of my character. Sara has been a lot better, but I had bug that wouldn't let me complete Peebee's LM that caused me to rage quit and not pick it up again that day. So I'm still trying to get through the first playthrough.
