Lol. I'm not the one doing the name calling, or the one getting their panties in a bunch. You've not been giving your opinion, you've been ranting about how wrong I am. Your suggestion that I fuck off is a pretty good indication that your panties were, indeed, all bunched up. For someone so apparently keen on freely exchanging opinions and suggestions, you don't seem to take them so well yourself. Maybe consider taking your own advice some time, eh?

It's times like this when I really miss the OG BSN. It seems from my perspective the devs aren't nearly as devoted to improving the game through player feedback. I see nothing from them that tells me they personally care or are even fans and players of their own game. I feel this is very important in a dev team. I should have seen this coming when they canceled the beta. There just doesn't seem to be the same passion on the MP team that there was in ME3. Maybe I'm wrong... but appearances at this point aren't good.

As much as I've been fascinated by folks launching torpedoes at each other's gooch-meat, I think there is some kernel of a good question buried within the smoking husks of exploded grundle making up this thread.
How long? How long is it reasonable to wait?
A week after release people began responding to the various expressions of "BiovarPls" with 'it's only been a week, give it time'. Now it has 'only been a month, give it time.'
I have somehow managed (this is just me) to gain some detachment and get kinda Zen about it all but only after going through being very, very angry -- but that didn't stop me from waking up this morning with the hope of a patch foremost in my mind.
Not knowing a lot about the multiplayer-verse outside of ME, how long does a game manage to keep a player base in MP these days? Is what we are experiencing normal for big titles? How does the current state of ME:AMP and the issues we are all concerned about compare to other titles with similar brand cache?
Do those devoted to other franchises have to wait for the sort of things we're waiting for?
How long?

At this point Bioware just seems clueless with the needs of the game, unless their intention was to mislead fans, make a quick buck from microtransactions, and never really support the game (then it's a huge success).

Right. So the problem is we're "raging" too soon, in your estimation. Who died and made you the authority on when it's the right time to rage, love? Because, see, it's already been a couple weeks. And the only balancing we've had is the Mattock fiasco, to go along with some real gems from the developers that don't exactly inspire confidence, buried under a veritable mountain of bullshit corp-speak. Funny thing is, it's not even about balancing. Balancing is secondary at this point, because there are worse problems than a Gold difficulty that is just not much fun to play. Here, have a look. Tell me how it makes sense to be "optimist" when after two patches, we still have to deal with: SMR forgot to mention the bugged smart choke/pellet spread reduction that basically breaks an entire category of weapons, ammo boosters that reduce your damage output, a store that gives you consumables without having the corresponding rarity unlocks maxed, and other equally flabbergasting stuff that I'm probably forgetting myself. Tell me, because I seriously cannot imagine how it's possible to be optimistic around this shit without some Olympic gold medal-level mental gymnastics. I have another one for you. Matches that don't start! No beta needed. I've had that a few times too.

Do those devoted to other franchises have to wait for the sort of things we're waiting for? How long? If you don't start giving feedback immediately consistently and continually, nothing will get done. Patching Frostbite games is a gigantic pain in the ass, and then add "storyteller 2.0" on top of that, now add in insulation and PR siphoning feedback. Quite literally now or never.

What's irks me the most is when did the #1 rule of gaming PR become to never, ever admit that you made a mistake? I guess it is fitting though given the entitlement of most gamers. Gamer: "You owe us." Developer: "Everything is working as intended." _______ Publisher: "Start working on the sequel now." Investors: "Can we outsource more positions?" I hate to say it but I prefer independent/indie studios now just so I don't have to deal with that second part.

Do those devoted to other franchises have to wait for the sort of things we're waiting for? How long? Personally, I think BioWare are getting to the point now where they have to go big or go home. If they implement some big changes in the next few weeks then while it won't excuse their behaviour up until now, it will at least be a palatable change. But if they're going to just give us rehashings of 1.05 then I think this game's gonna tank pretty hard, because even the casuals aren't going to put up with the current state forever. In the absence of further information from BioWare, I'm hoping for the former.

Btw, I read that they mentioned us. What exactly did they say? Just that they're using this place (along with Facebook and Reddit) to keep an eye on what players are talking about, and taking things on board, blah, blah, blah, etc. But it was nice of them to mention uBSN by name.

Yeah, after you went on a rant about how I'm a corporate slave. I think you two should just kiss and get it over with. There's clearly a lot of sexual tension between you.

They need time to make sure every changes they'll make will keep the game stable and balanced, as stable and balanced as it was on release.
The game doesn't need patches anyway.
