WTF?...Patriots need to be banned, or Belichick needs to be fired or Kraft needs to be heavily fined... ...this s**t with the Patriots tarnishes ALOT of their success over the years and this guy who's filming this simply states "uh my bad..we can delete this?"...... ....heads need to roll because this has happened more than once with this team, and doing this against the lowly bengals?....just incredibly shady and corrupt and goes to show to what lengths this organization will go to cheat to get wins...just sad.... Damn are the Patriots really a well coached team, or are they only good because of s**t like this?.....just unreal!....they should be DQ'd from the playoffs.....this has happened more than once and Belichick of course stated he has no clue this was going on....smh..

I'm not entirely sure it's really all that bad, especially my own perspective on it. Had they gotten approval it seems this would've just been what teams typically do on each other, they scout the opposition to game plan against. The Patriots just didn't get permission this time it seems. They didn't even hide it really from what I hear so they weren't even trying to be secretive about it. What bothers me isn't that it happened but how bill is saying he doesn't know about it, I don't believe much gets by bill without him knowing. It also seems it's been slowly getting put to rest as well since they've already looked the footage over and it's what you'll see any other team do when they scout opposition, they didn't get looks at the playbooks or anything so yeah, I myself just don't think it's even a problem, they just didn't get approval to do it (which wouldn't be hard). It's also because it's vs the Bengals that I just don't take it seriously. The real problem is NE has this reputation that even when they actually aren't trying to cheat, well people are just gonna assume they're doing it to cheat which I don't have a problem with, the Patriots put that on themselves. I doubt anything happens at all since they didn't record anything serious, at best just a fine for not getting approval from the NFL to do it but because teams do scout their opposition I think it'll be a pass for them.

10-6 last week. I'm late! The Texans/Buccaneers game is at half time right now and tied, so I'll go ahead and pick. Saturday, 12/21/19 Houston Texans (9-5) @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-7) _____ TEXANS Buffalo Bills (10-3) @ New England Patriots (11-3) _____ PATRIOTS Los Angeles Rams (8-6) @ San Francisco 49ers (11-3) _____ 49ERS Will return later to post the rest... What an amazing day of football! Especially the 49ers win over the Rams! Each game today was play off level quality! I sure wish the Bills could have beaten the Pats, though. Now for Sunday, 12/22/19 Cincinnati Bengals (1-13) @ Miami Dolphins (3-11) _____ DOLPHINS Pittsburgh Steelers (8-6) @ New York Jets (5-9) _____ JETS I'm calling a possible upset. I'm glad the Eagles are winning, again. That's 3 in a row, even if the competition is sketchy. Ruining Dallas' season is always the second highest priority each year, of course, so that was satisfying. Just gotta beat the Giants this week to put the nail in their coffin.
I won't expect much in the playoffs given the decimated roster. I'm proud of how they've come together to overcome the crazy injuries. Still, if they had displayed this heart earlier in the season, they'd be sitting at 12 or 13 wins instead of 8-7. At least the season is trending upward.
I was also pleased to see Wentz looking great in a game people likely bothered to watch. ESPN's talking heads seem to have it in for him; but his stats, and simply watching him play, attest to him being top-tier. In my mind, Wilson, Brees, Brady and (maybe) Rodgers are the best. After them, you have a cluster of guys. Mahomes (last year's phenom), Jackson (this year's MVP), Wentz and maybe a couple of others reside just below them. Then you have the morass. Regardless of whether one agrees with my list, Wentz is definitely not part of the morass. His stats alone make him top-10 while playing much of the season with practice squad players.

What happened to the Seahawks on Sunday is what happens when a good team has way too many good players on the injury roster. It is what it is. The same could be said for my Panthers. Philip Rivers and his team can relate. For the last few years, they've been plagued by injuries. It also happens in college football. Nothing against the guys who fill in, but they don't get the same amount of snaps as the starters.
Mike McCarthy as the next Panther coach? David Tepper said he wanted an offensive-minded guy to lead the team. I wouldn't be against him being the next coach. Time will tell.

Same for Philly, and the Chargers live in the "injury nightmare" every year. Sometimes you manage to play through it, like Philly's SB year. Usually, it's too much to overcome. There are too many good teams to expect to win regularly without half your starters. Seattle still has a good record and a chance to win the West. We'll see if they've hit the point of "too much to overcome". It's hard to compete with depleted talent and the lack of continuity. I just read about McCarthy's interview. He's a strong first interview. Hopefully they get the right guy, whoever's it ends up being.

Agggh..will somebody put the fork in the Dallas Cowboys already?.... ....the clowns couldn't take care of an injury riddled Eagles team that was basically begging them to take the number 1 spot. To be fair Dak was hurt...but even healthy Dak is about as accurate as Stevie Wonder.... ....this also goes back to coaching. the staff knew dak was hurting yet the game was structured for dak to pass. Again tho, it seemed the eagles did a good job of holding Zeke down, so now it comes down to heart...you know your qb is hurtin', you supposedly have one of the best lines in the NFL,...strong-arm that eagles defensive front and open some lanes for Zeke....Dak was missing wide open receivers and and he missed one that had at least 5 yards on the eagles defender and if placed right in stride, it would have been a TD. Then the crucial 4th down scenario where you have Cooper, your best WR sitting out....even if he is hurt or wasn't performing, he still should have been out there as a distraction....the whole Dallas offensive staff needs to go...mediorce play calling and this team CANNOT play from behind.....i'm not sure replacing Garret will fix things tho. Ultimately Jerry needs to just be an owner and hire a real coach and not interfere with the day to day coaching aspects. This is why Garret has lasted so long..he doesn't confront Jerry or tells him to stay out of it and Jerry doesn't want a strong willed coach that will make personnel decisions/draft choices and actually try to coach the players and actually let him know that he needs to fall back a bit.Jerry wants full control of everything and that has hurt this team ever since Jimmy Johnson left. But eh, congrats "Element".... ...the eagles deserved to win and deserve to go on to the playoffs....i don't see us beating Washington and i honestly feel the Giants might give you guys a run for your money....teams at this point have nothing to lose so i think they might step up to try and play "spoiler".....Dallas is already pointing fingers so they are already a much more dysfunctional group of pre-madonnas than before...

8-8 last week
Week 17
Dec 29 - early games Jets at Buffalo - Bills Browns at Bengals - Browns GB at Lions - Packers Chargers at Chiefs - Chiefs need to win, and a NE loss to get the #2 seed, but I like for Rivers to win to end a bad season he and his team had. Chargers Bears at Vikings - Vikings Fish at NE - UPSET SPECIAL. Dolphins Atlanta at Tampa Bay - Bucs Saints at Carolina - I like for the Panthers to end a poor season on a winning note, but that might not happen. The good news is, if you want to call it good news, is Christian McCraffrey needs about 70 yards receiving to become the 3rd player in NFL history to rush for over 1000 yards and receive over 1000 yards in the same season. Panthers
late games Washington at Dallas - Cowboys Oakland at Denver - Raiders Cardinals at Rams - Rams Philly at Giants - What could be Mannings last game, he will want to go out big. Giants Colts at Jags - Colts Steelers at Ravens - Steelers Titans at Texans - Texans
Sunday night @8:20PM on NBC 49ers at Seattle - Seahawks

themikefest, Eli isn't starting vs Philly, if that changes your pick. Jones is healthy. I expect Philly to win, but the Giants are definitely improving on offense. In recent memory, the Eagles nearly always beat NYG, but it's often a close game. I'm expecting a win, but not assuming one. I wish Philly could keep their team healthy and on the field for an entire season, at least to a reasonable degree. They've been gutted since week one this year. They're still pretty torn up now, but I'm glad to see them winning with what they have. We'll see if it's enough to do anything on WC Weekend, if they handle business Sunday. Last year, they were finally getting guys back as Carson suffered the broken vertebra. They almost upset NO at home with what they had, but almost doesn't mean much. It will be interesting to see if some of these practice squad guys now starting manage to hold onto roster spots next season. They've made the most of their opportunities, so far. I'd like to see Jordan Howard remain and pair with Sanders in the backfield, but he might want to get paid elsewhere. Lots of questions for next year when this season is just getting to the good part. clips7, thanks man. Dallas getting a good coaching staff is a worry to me. 😆 I've long counted on Garrett and Jerry to keep them mediocre, regardless of talent. Those days might finally be passing. If they bring in good staff they'll turn things around in a hurry.

Proud of my Eagles tonight. They rolled out yet more players whom I don't even know, but still got the win. No one can question their heart, finding a way to win with guys off of practice squads.
Wentz became the first player in NFL history to pass for 4000 yards without a single 500yd receiver. He works magic every week with the ever shifting and talent-depleted roster around him. The Wentz-doubters (mostly desperate Cowboys fans in denial) will continue to chirp no matter what he does, but he's a phenomenal player. If they can keep talent around him, Philly can expect to be relevant every year of his career.
Even with the Seahawks depleted, I can't get too excited. They have Russell Wilson, one of the best players on the planet. Plus, Philly lost Miles Sanders and Brandon Brooks to injury in the first half. Sanders has been better and better each week, of late, capable of scoring on any and every play. Brooks is the NFL's top O-Lineman this year, and the top-rated guard two or three years running.
I really hope they can win a playoff game, but that might be too much to ask of so many practice squad guys. We'll see. Pederson, Wentz and the other vets have done a great job of keeping them afloat long enough for those guys to pull together and get into the playoffs. I'm proud of their effort, even if I'd have loved another SB Championship. (I know anything is possible, but that would be 1 million to 1.)
EDIT: I was also damn pleased to watch Miami upset NE. Those guys, no doubt great, have gotten fat off of playing in a shitty ass division year after year. They last played on Wild Card weekend in 2009. That's nuts. They could go back to the SB this year (but I strongly doubt it.) If they do, they'll have to earn it by winning three playoff games to get there.
Miami played with a lot of heart and guts. I can see how they beat Philly last month. I think Flores has a great culture growing in Miami. If they can draft well, maybe they'll finally be relevant in the coming years. That would be pretty cool. They've been consistently bad for far too long.
Buffalo is rising, too. I think this is their second playoffs in three years, no? Good to see. I wish it could've come 5 years sooner, but it's about time the AFC East improves. Hell, even the Jets finished 7-9. They're disappointed, but they showed flashes of being better than they have been in recent years.

Yes, my Seahawks lost. Missing out on that last possible TD was especially painful. But even so, there were some moments to treasure:
There were some delightful upsets today... Don't you love it? And the Jets! Even the Bears! As for the 49ers, this is the first time they've been 1st seed going into the playoffs since 1997. I have to respect the hard work that's gone into rebuilding this team, even though I wish we'd beaten them!
