I used to not use it on virtuoso until I played demons in NM with him, was on the ground constantly in zone 5, and then said never again. So currently it is equipped on all. Pretty sure I wouldn't need it on a lot of rogue characters, especially ones that spend a lot of time in stealth; assassin, maybe alchemist, archer who can recover with leaping shot. But due to not really having a decent amulet replacement, I probably won't change.

That was interesting. It helped me with some routine completions for the challenge as well. To clarify, I didn't have the inquisition weapons on when I accidentally killed the boss. I'm not that OP But that guy did pretty good for his first game. Definitely better than my first game where I almost decided to never play this game again haha. Also amusing that I went straight to HB after those routine games. Has that ever been done before?

When the rest of your team is visiting the Fade bar against Druffy, what else can you do besides dance party? If I had to guess, I think this was likely the first time any of these players saw Druffy. They were not prepared They all left immediately after this game. Does anyone else ever wonder if other players think you are hacking when this faction comes up, assuming they have never seen it before?

Was playing some HB matches with 3y3Vr3 and RogueKnight333. So I was on support duty and I would normally pick the Elementalist over the Keeper but for some reason I chose Keeper (we generally don't use the OP agents like Saarebas, AW, and SS so Saarebas as support wasn't really an option). For the first time EVER, I tried the dispel ability (now I know where the opening athlok burst animation comes from ). I actually liked dispel. It gives you barrier and increases your spell power. Was actually pretty useful in HB Venatori where everything has barrier. I can't believe there are still abilities I haven't tried...

Recently I'm getting really tired of the extremely slow progress of the spider challenge. I've never farmed spider kills before and I'm right around 4300 of the needed 5000 from normal playing. I took the assassin into NM solo. I was just planning on killing a few spiders with the Demon faction to speed up the process a little. I get to zone 2, rack up a 78 kill streak, mainly from spiders. I didn't realize nearly every zone has spiders in it. Anyway, I keep planning that I'm going to let them kill me on one of the zones but I'm doing pretty well. So eventually I decide that I'll try to beat zone 5.
After a hard final battle, I successfully solo'd NM with the assassin! And got 200 spider kills in the process. It took 50 minutes but like I said, alot of that was from spider hunting. And by the way, deathblow with the Bosun Blade is one of my absolute favorites.

Joined a threatening pug with some other guy due to nothing higher available. Crushed it obviously. So the leader bumps it up to perilous. He's playing silent sister so he can survive but his damage is still pretty bad. We play a few games and win with ease still. So he bumps it up to nightmare. Then changes his mind and goes back to perilous. I didn't ready up so he changed it back to nightmare. I decided to play Elementalist which isn't a class I would normally attempt to carry nightmare with. Anyway, a virtuoso in the base armor joins. However, he does the smart thing and stays by me the entire game. So I had constant buffs and I kept him alive while he kept me alive and buffed. It worked out really well. Both randoms did incredibly well despite playing above their pay-grade, especially the virtuoso who I thought would be dead weight but ended up being very helpful. We completed the match! I was so proud

The friends leaderboard has always disappeared after I accept a friend request. It usually shows up after a reboot of the game. However, in this instance, as Witty said, origin was having problems displaying any friends list recently which would explain the issue for PC users. Not sure what the issue is for console players though.

Don't know his exact level or build, but it's quite possible for a Lego without high stats to survive a NM faction who mainly does physical damage. After all it's Korbin the mightest tank of all Thedas...He just has so many active/passive abilities that give him armor bonus and damage resistance, especially the broken armor bonus from upgraded war cry...And there are the passives that give him extra guard, then additional armor bonus with guard...(if he didn't use guard generating abilities often yet still was able to survive with ease that would be weird...). I imagine on wave 5 he was probably knocked down left and right by shock troopers, riddled with 2-digit sundering effects from spearmen, pestered constantly by assassins and slowed down to a halt by Saarebas Commander's magical tracking ball...these were what finally got him ....then realised....If only I had equipped Shield of the Emperor Ding ding ding! You win. He actually did have that equipped. But he also had a lot of guard generating abilities as well. War cry, likely upgraded, etc. The real reason it threw me off a little is because I've never seen anyone in this lobby before and one of them was hacking. Wasn't sure if I could trust this Lego.

Joined an actual PUG NM match. It's three players I've never seen before. One of them is a level 1. Those two things together make me think they are hackers. So I join with a level 1 keeper since I really don't imagine that I'll be staying with probable cheaters. I get in the game and two of them are already faded against the Qunari. Uh oh. Looks like it's not cheaters and now I have a really low level agent I'll have to attempt to carry with. The only other one standing is a Lego--no Hakkon, no spectacular damage or percentage of critical hits. But he is surviving really well. REALLY well. Me and him did some surprisingly good teamwork and cleared the zone. Turns out it was only zone 1 The next zones, the other two fade every time and me and the other guy cooperate and slowly clear it. Turns out, one of the guys who faded (not even the host) was cheating with infinite stamina and no cooldown. (The rest of us didn't have it though.) He was spamming hidden blades constantly but still dying regardless. We get to zone 5. Other two go down. I go down, but get revived. A little later Lego goes down and I get killed as well. Stupid spearmen > Anyway, I was just really surprised how well this Lego was doing. He clearly wasn't overpromoted, didn't have the best gear, but he was surviving with ease. He was doing so well that I actually wasn't sure if he had infinite health or something. He must not have though because he died on the last stage (unless he only had infinite armor? Is that a thing?)

Is it possible the drop rates have a correlation with challenge progress? I have been focusing on achieving challenges since I started DAMP. Maybe that's the reason why I getting good gears faster than expected. If not, well that's weird. Cuz I'm not very lucky person in real life. So I know I lost all serious credibility by proposing the ham theory but... The second aspect of that observation was that I had also always just completed some challenge right before opening chests to find a level 27, Hakkon, or the crescent. In other words, the last 4 item drops I got upto and including the crescent, I had completed some challenge right before heading to the store to buy chests--the mace challenge, Avvar challenge, etc. Again, it's just an interesting observation, not a recommendation. I do believe the loot is random but when I encounter statistical improbabilities, I feel that I should share them. Congrats on getting all those drops in such a short time! That's got to be some kind of record! (ignoring those people who got all the Hakkons in the first day of their release way back when... > )

So I tried this yesterday solo with the AW. I was only level 2 so obviously didn't have guardian spirit or anything else to help me survive. I figured I would just try it for a zone or 2. Then I get Druffy faction Everyone knows you can't quit when you roll Druffy so I ended up soloing and completing it with this setup as a low level arcane warrior. Assassins were annoying as expected but I was too quick for them Also had a dance party with Druffy at least 5 times.

And while we are on the subject, when wearing this belt, do you get the full speed boost right below 50℅ or do you get a larger speed boost the closer you are to 0 health? I rarely ever use this belt so I don't know...

Hmm, this sound interesting. Why have I never thought of this? Qunari will definitely be a problem but YOLO amirite? I'll give this a try on AW.
That belt isn't restricted from mage classes is it? Not in front of the game at the moment.

A few fun games with Terrell, Tex and later a couple of newbs with a Leeeeroy Jenkins-type alchemist yesterday. The pros of playing with Leeeeroy Jenkins: Tends to aggro the whole map, which can make for bigger mobs to dispatch The cons of playing with Leeeeroy Jenkins: Tends to aggro the whole map, then die, which can make for bigger, tougher mobs to dispatch...(Oh, my poor low-level Avaar!) Leeeeeeroy Jenkins was an understatement for that alchemist. Died on I think 14 of 15 zones over a few games from sprinting ahead EVERY SINGLE TIME. Clearly wasn't really ready for NM or at least that playstyle in NM. He truly embodied the spirit of "if at first you don't succeed, try, try, again."

Pulled my last Hakkon weapon from store chest. My second Hakkon dagger! I got three hakkons just in a week. All from store chests. I remember last week that shop keeper, the requisition officer, refused to sell anything to me. Maybe she was just trying to put aside cool stuffs for me. Now were all three of those Hakkon drops before or after the ham game? If it's after, I'm putting this under additional evidence of my ham theory haha Putting that aside, congrats! That is impressive.

I'm still learning things about this game! Apparently you can avoid melee hits by standing on this flower pot? Not particularly useful since you are still out in the open but a novelty trick nonetheless.

Wait a minute? Did I just win the game? 1st Crescent! Never EVER thought I would see this once I heard of its existence in the game how long ago. I saved up about 110K and spent about 40-50K of it after I completed the Avvar 250 completion challenge. And this showed up. Interestingly, I didn't even promote 25 times since I got the last requirement for this, Rime. The very first game I used it on was a HB match--and the game crashed on zone 4 of 5 Afterwards, I attempted a very rare solo NM match with the Lego against Darkspawn (I hate soloing...) and won. After that, I did another solo run. A ROUTINE solo inferno dragon run (yeah, yeah, I know... But I still need to finish the routine completion and routine dragon challenges!). This was super fun. It took only three sword swings to kill the inferno dragon because of the ice projectiles! I'm also very happy that this weapon's kills count towards the sword kills challenge which I also just completed because of it.
