I am probably due for another ME:Andromeda playthrough (some time after I play Dragon's Dogma 2) but I have no idea what I want my skillset to be. I should probably make another Infiltrator attempt, but the MEA Infiltrator profile is kind of built around sniping and I am not that good at sniping with a controller in this game.
I kind of hated my last "Infiltrator" attempt, and I think I ended up switching to a multiplayer-style "Asari Sentinel" build (Energy Drain, Throw, Backlash) which was more enjoyable, but Backlash is not nearly as effective on Insanity as it is on Gold/Platinum multiplayer. Maybe Backlash got buffed in multiplayer at one point? For example, in multiplayer I can get a Gold/Platinum Kett Anointed to kill himself with Backlash from full health, but I cannot do the same in single player on Insanity. I would need to check, but maybe multiplayer Backlash has larger reflect damage?
Sorry for the ramble, but I am just trying to come up with a 3-power build that I can look forward to using when I do get back around to playing ME:Andromeda. The builds I have used:
1. Elemental Engineer: Overload - Cryo Beam - Incinerate
2. Basic Adept: Pull - Singularity - Lift
3. Vanguard: Charge - Annihilation - Nova
4. MEAMP Asari-style Sentinel: Energy Drain - Throw - Backlash (less effective on SP Insanity than MP Gold/Platinum)
5. Power Cell Soldier: Concussive Shot - Frag Grenade - Flak Cannon (the only build where Fusion Mod of Adrenaline is actually useless)
6. Construct Engineer: Remnant VI - Sentry Turret - Invasion (kind of dull)
I also might have another Soldier build where I use Turbocharge + Cloak + something else? I don't feel like booting up the game to find out.
Maybe I might try another Vanguard build (charge + 2 other powers) for a different experience?

Dimitri Shepard (Soldier, ME3): 1. Threw a party. I think Garrus booby-trapped the apartment. 2. Attacked Cerberus HQ, killed Kai Lame. 3. Went to Earth and took a beam of light to the Citadel. 4. Talked to the Illusive Man before shooting him. Talked to a stupid AI, then destroyed the Reapers.
And that completes my final previously-unfinished playthrough. Technically I have another unfinished playthrough, but that was a purposely abandoned character that I later re-created for an entirely different playthrough. I am never reviving it.
No idea when or what my next playthrough will be. I know I want to replay some ME2 and ME3 builds in the Legendary Edition that I did on the Xbox, but not sure if I would try to do that with my existing characters (NG+), or do all new playthroughs. I know I would need to mod ME2 to use Stasis with the Legendary Edition.

1. Citadel DLC - the last fight shepard vs shepard. Until i watched a youtube video with the fight i was thinking that i was doing something wrong, because evil shepard was regenerating his armor and shields all the time i was bringing it down. I was running around trying to figure it out, died 2 times, gave up and searched a video. Instead of increasing his health/shield pool you just made him regenerating it all several times to confuse players, well done. Also i killed his gf during a fight 3 times because she was resurrecting every time. You can waste your time, your ammo, risk to die trying to bring her down just for nothing, because shed get up anyway. Awesome design! I assume you are playing the Legendary Edition? In the Citadel DLC for the original ME3, the game adds the clone's medi-gel counter to the interface in that fight. It starts with 5 and counts down to 0. That medi-gel counter was removed in the Legendary Edition for some reason. Essentially, you have to remove the shields and armor from the clone 5 times, and then doing it again the 6th time will end the fight. You need to remove the health and shields 3 times to trigger the mid-fight cutscene. All enemies with shields -- including the clone -- can replenish their shields after taking no damage after certain length of time. So if you take down the clone's shields but do not deal any damage to the clone for a certain length of time, the clone will replenish their shields. This does not count against the medi-gel counter. Only fully replenishing both the armor and shields counts against the medi-gel counter. Downing Brooks can cause the clone to stop fighting you and go and revive her. This can give you a free shot at the clone.

Dimitri Shepard (Soldier, ME3): 1. Took some shore leave, and got ambushed almost immediately. Followed that up by hunting down and killing my clone.
During the clone fight, managed to get a Critical Mission Failure during the mid-fight cutscene because I died as the cutscene started.
2. Some Silver Sun Strip meetups, claw game for mods, then completed all the simulator missions.
3. Met with Quarian admirals, then took down a Geth dreadnaught. Picked up Legion.
4. Shut down a Geth server, then rescued Admiral Korris.
5. Assaulted a Geth base, killed a Reaper Destroyer, then talked the Quarians into making peace with the Geth.
6. Restarted a fuel reactor.
7. Some Citadel and Silver Sun Strip stuff.
8. Went to go recover an artifact from an Asari temple, but got out-plot-armored by Kai Lame.
9. Went to Sanctuary and uncovered a hidden Cerberus lab.
10. Recovered some data from a communications hub.

Rescued some civilians from Cerberus. 4. Rejected the Dalatrass's deal and cured the genophage. 5. Stopped a Cerberus coup. EDI shot Kaidan. (kind of hoping that Garrus would have shot him.) 6. More Citadel stuff and system scanning. 7. Blew up a monastery. Stopped Samara from killing herself like an idiot. 8. Raided a Cerberus fighter base. 9. More Citadel stuff.

Had to stop because my controller batteries were low. I have two (very old) controllers for my Xobx 360 and several pairs of batteries, but only one controller works with one particular set of batteries.

I screwed up the Hanar/Jondum Bau quest; I meant to save the Hanar homeworld and let Bau die, but I accidentally hit the Renegade prompt and saved Bau. It was the last task I was doing on the Citadel and the last save pre-quest was the start of the Citadel, so I was not going to do everything again. Oh well.

I think I am going to wait to play Dragon's Dogma until the first patch, so I decided to turn on the Xbox and complete my only unfinished playthrough: Dimitri Shepard.
1. Started ME2 and loaded the last Dimitri Shepard save file, trying to figure out how I was previously playing the character. (Last manual save: 2021/05/04.) - Soldier with Revenant, so no sniper or shotgun focus. - Six (6) squadmates alive: Legion, Samara, Tali (unloyal, so), Mordin, Garrus, Grunt - No love interest from what I could tell (no picture in cabin) - Could not tell if I saved or destoyed the genophage data - Appeared to have a mix of Paragon and Renegade, but mostly Paragon
2. Started ME1 and loaded the last Dimitri Shepard save file. - Appeared to have a mix of Paragon and Renegade, but mostly Paragon. No points spent on persuasion talents. - Wrex alive - Kaiden alive - Rachni Queen dead
3. Started the import. Council was saved, genophage data was saved. Confirmed no romances (so probably a no-romance playthrough).
4. Vancouver > Mars > Citadel.

2. Went to Sanctuary and uncovered a secret Cerberus facility. Miranda threw her dad out a window, then died.
3. Rescued someone at a communications hub.
4. Threw a party.
5. Destroyed Cerberus HQ.
6. Went to Earth. Destroyed a giant cannon (and killed Morinth). Killed a Reaper Destroyer. Took a beam to the Citadel. Shot the Illusive Man. Talked to a stupid AI. Destroyed the Reapers.

2. Survived an ambush attempt. Killed my clone.
3. Met up with some of the crew on the Silver Sun Strip. Played some matches in the simulator.
I quit playing after getting annoyed as an Adept in the simulator. Everyone dodging or throwing smoke. And I always hate it when enemies spawn at the same point (when I am getting the bonus), meaning I cannot position my squadmates correctly. I'll try it again tomorrow when I am less irritated.

2. Took control of giant cannon on Tuchanka, then used it to blow up a Cerberus cruiser.
3. Took out a Rachni nest and a Reaper-made Rachni Queen.
4. Rescued some civilians being attacked by Cerberus.
5. Made a deal with the Dalatrass and sabotaged the cure. Convinced Mordin to join the Crucible team.
6. Stopped a Cerberus coup. Killed Ashley (whoops, missed those Renegade prompts and Intimidate option), then killed Udina. Completed some Citadel chores.
7. Blew up some Asari monastery, no survivors. Rescued some scientists from Cerberus.
8. Scanned more of the galaxy. Captured a fighter base from Cerberus. Spent time on the Citadel with squadmates and delivering packages.

2. Searched for Dr. Garneau. Found his body and another artifact.
3. Tracked down the next lead for Leviation: Ann Bryson. Rescued Ann Bryson from a dig site.
4. Used Ann Bryson to locate Leviathan. Ann died in the process, or fell into a coma or something. Who really cares. Found Leviathans (there was more than one), and bullied them into joining the war.

Alex the Asshole Adept (ME3LE): 1. Reapers attacked Earth. Alex wanted to stay and fight, but got ordered by Anderson to leave and go the Council. Alex left Earth to fend for itself, then got ordered by Hackett to go to Mars and recover some Prothean data. He got the data, along with a slightly-damaged shuttle (thank James), a damaged robot, and Liara.
2. The Council refused to help (no surprise). So he took out his frustrations by sparring with James. They both got bloodied. Also recruited Dr. Michel to the Normandy.
3. Returned to Eden Prime to recover a different Prothean artifact. (Must resist urge to call Javik a popsicle for the umpteenth time in this thread).
4. Went to Palaven and picked up the latest Turian Primarch. Also Garrus, but who cares about him?
5. Citadel crap. Scanning crap. Recovered some Reaper tech from a Cerberus lab.
6. Rescued some students from Grissom Academy and reunited with Jack.

2. Tanked a laser shot from Harbinger. Took an elevator ride to the Citadel. Had a brief chat with TIM before shooting him.
3. Some glowing thing talked my ear off before letting me go so I could shoot a big red thing. Reapers destroyed (supposedly).
4. Ending cutscenes. Slideshow. Credits. Exit game.
One more Legendary Edition trilogy playthrough to finish: Alex the Asshole Adept, waiting for import into ME3.
One more original trilogy playthrough to finish, waiting for import into MNE3. I think this was a shotgun/Claymore Soldier in ME2 but I cannot remember offhand. I cannot remember anything about this character; I would need to check before doing anything with it.
I have a few other characters I would like to create, but that would be in the future. I want to finish the other characters first. I might get to Alex soon/next, before the end of March. I think Dragons Dogma 2 is coming out before the end of March.

I'll have to read up on the Drone and Turret evolutions, since I've never played a ME3 Engineer. I don't have the patience to use a drone-focused build. I like killing everything as efficiently as possible, and I love combo detonations. I just need to read up on the Drones, see if there are any evolutions that don't work as advertised, etc... For combo detonations, just focus on using Sabotage, Overload, and Incinerate. My usual evolutions: - Sabotage: Backfire, Explosive Hack, Tech Vulnerability - Overload: Damage, Neural Shock, Shield Damage - Incinerate: Damage, Burning Damage, Armor Damage Note that you can go chain Overload or area incinerate if you prefer, but I find that you want/need the extra damage and the combos will do most of the control and damage for you anyway. Basically, Sabotage should be your combo starter on everyone. It primes tech bursts (electrical combos). Sabotage > Overload cannot be dodged. You can alternate Overload and Incinerate to alternate fire and electrical explosions on the tougher enemies, so starting with Sabotage > Incinerate > Overload (and then alternating Incinerate and Overload if they are still alive) should be your go-to method for dealing with these tougher enemies. Video examples:
Stack up on power damage for armor since Engineer really relies on power damage. You can also add power damage from Intel bonuses, and Fortification rank 5 adds power damage. For drone and turret, you can get away with a 1-point drone early to get Cerberus Guardians to turn around. After you get a piercing mod on your preferred weapon, drone will not be needed. Combat Drone and Sentry Turret evolutions work as advertised, but they are kind of bad since they just do not do as much distracting, crowd-control, or damage as you want. Sabotage can stagger some of those same enemies anyways.

I'm struggling with my ME2 Engineer, not in terms of gameplay, but just in keeping my interest. I might be too in love with other classes. Not everyone has to like all classes. I like all classes in ME2, although the ME2 Engineer is my favorite. I know some people on this forum really love the Soldier, while others think the Soldier is boring (too much shooty shooty). Engineer is boring if you play it as a defense stripper; crowd-control focus is the way to go. Typically for a crowd-control Engineer Dominate would be chosen as a bonus power. I haven't tried out a Slam Engineer yet, which I've been meaning to. That would represent an offensive/crowd control mix depending on how its handled. Engineer is quite flexible in ME2. Defense stripping is where most players gravitate towards. Mordin pairs really well with this type of Engineer, since Mordin's rank 4 Cryo Blast gets a 4.5-second cooldown, which meshes really well with the Engineer's Overload and Incinerate with +20% cooldown from rank 4 Tech Mastery (Destroyer/Mechanic). Add Reave (or swap Incinerate for Reave) to strip all defenses. Focusing more on crowd control can also be fun. Slam is a fun bonus power to pair with Miranda/Thane for Warp bombs and Full Cryo Blast for unprotected groups. I have some examples in this playlist: www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLJjws92UJ3EJfE5cIMT4mZyFfNvL7Qk3L

2. Tracked Kai Lame to Sanctuary. Discovered a hidden Cerberus Lab, but no Kai. Miranda threw her father out of a window.
3. Rescued a damsel in distress from a Communications Hub.
4. Upgrade a bunch of weapons in case I play NG+ in the future.
5. Met with crewmates on the Silver Sun strip, and threw a party.
6. Spent the night(? it's space, it's always night) with Liara. Attacked Cerberus Headquarters, and recovered the Catalyst. Beat the piss out of Kai Lame and then stabbed him to death.
7. Went to Earth with the Galaxy fleet. Destroyed a giant cannon.

... So far, it's been humorous to see just how powerful the Combat Drone is. I imagine Praetorians and Geth Primes units will ignore it, but it really exerts a lot of crowd control on common enemies. ... I chose Warp Ammo as my bonus power. I may never even invest any additional points into it. It was an easy, basic choice that will be useful for at least a while. I've never used Dominate, because it bugs me, but I might retrain into Dominate later in the game. Geth Primes will be distracted by the Combat Drone. The ME2 Combat Drone is your best friend. The Praetorians will be confused by the drone, occasionally swiveling around to laser it, but they are the only enemy that will not be reliably distracted by the orange ball of awesome. My favorite class ever is ME2 Engineer with Drone, AI Hacking, and Dominate absolutely distracting and controlling everyone.

Escaped from the trap. Clone tried to steal the Normandy. Beat the crap out of the clone then literally kicked her off the ship.
2. Spent time crewmates at the apartment and the Silver Sun Strip.
3. Completed challenges in the Armax Arsenal Arena.
I really struggled with the final Unusual Scores mission (Fatal Error). I kept dying on the final wave. Not really sure why. I am just glad that is done.
