Karen Shepard (Sentinel, ME3LE): 1. Raided a Cerberus lab and recovered some Reaper artifacts.
2. The Dalatrass offered full Salarian support in exchange for sabotaging the cure. Took the deal, and convinced Mordin to accept the deal as well.
3. Attacked a Cerberus base and took all their fighters.
4. Caught up with Aralakh Company. Destroyed a Rachni nest and a fake Rachni Queen. Dagg died. My first (or maybe second?) time doing this mission post-Shroud, so I got to hear some different early-mission dialogue.
5. Searched for Dr. Garneau at a mining facility on an asteroid. Garneau was dead and Leviathan was not there.
6. Helped Aria take back Omega from Cerberus. She choked out Petrovsky.
7. Stopped Cerberus from taking over the Citadel. Kirrahe took a bullet for the Salarian Councilor.
8. Citadel chores. Got another lead on Leviathan. Joker saluted me because Kaiden took off or something (I never got the scene with Kaiden because I went to the Normandy from Bryson's office I guess?)
9. Galaxy scans. Back to the Citadel for more chores. This time took the proper exit, talked with Kaiden and invited him back on board the Normandy (not that he will ever be used since Liara and Javik are better).

Edited my previous post, since I forgot I did Eden Prime and picked up Javik.
Did some testing with Defense Drone. Looks like rank 5 Fire Rate is still bugged in the Legendary Edition. I will post a video showing it some time later tonight or tomorrow. Depends when I get to it.

Karen Shepard (Sentinel, ME3LE): 1. Reapers started reaping. Karen went to Mars. Recovered Prothean plans for an anti-Reaper weapon, an Asari, a broken robot, and an injured squadmate (Kaiden). Presented the plans to the council, who did nothing.
2. Traveled to Eden Prime to pick up a Prothean relic. Had to fight off some Cerberus vultures to get it. The relic was some frozen Prothean soldier. He's a bit grumpy.
3. Went to Palaven and recovered the new Turian Primarch. (Had to reload an autosave mid-mission because a husk got stuck somewhere.)
4. Citadel chores.
5. Rescured the students from Grissom Academy.
6. Met with diplomats for a war summit. Extracted a Krogan female from a Salarian STG facility. Wreav is an ass. Mordin is still an eccentric genius.
7. Wrested control of a giant cannon from Cerberus hands.
8. Extracted a Turian platoon from Tuchanka, then helped them finish their mission to defuse a giant bomb.
9. Rescued some civilians from being abducted by Cerberus.

I chose Samara's recruitment mission. I play on Insanity, so I have the basic upgrades by that point and there is a good variety of enemy protections (shields, armor, and barrier) which makes it interesting. The gunship battle is the only really mid part of the mission (bullet sponge), but the final fight is great since I always like to try to kill Wasaea before she has a chance to move the fight into the second area.
Garrus's recruitment could be fun -- you fight all three merc groups -- but it happens early and I just do not have the upgrades I really need by that point to make it more fun, namely no armor/shield/barrier damage upgrades for most weapons yet. Most of the early recruitment missions have that problem. That makes it even harder for NG+ when enemies are already at max strength.
Post-Horizon you should have all the basic upgrades you need but only three recruitment missions are left: Thane, Samara, and Tali. Tali's recruitment mission is really fun if you have AI Hacking.
Oh crap, I feel like I am talking myself into another Engineer run (I really need to do another Puppet Master Engineer playthrough) but I have not finished all my current trilogy playthroughs yet.

Didn't have this scene for AGES. On PS4, whenever I proceeded to the workers after taking care of everyone in Chora's Den, the fight started automatically. I am now on PS5 and I will have to see in the next run if I can trigger this scene from now on I have played original ME1 on Xbox and the legendary edition on PC. For me, I always get that conversation when I have enough Paragon or Renegade points to persuade them to leave. If I do not have enough points, then the fight starts automatically.

Karen Shepard (Sentinel, ME2 LE): 1. Went to Tali's trial. Shot some geth, then yelled at the admirals until they found Tali innocent. 2. Launched the suicide mission. Highlights: - Kasumi died in the engine room (no shield upgrade)
- Garrus got crushed by debris (no weapon upgrade)
- All crew dead (waited too long), but Chakwas survived (sent Tali as an escort)
- Destroyed the base. The remaining squad held the line.
3. Rescued Dr. Kenson, then threw an asteroid into a relay whch destroyed a small system. Only Batarians died, so no loss to the galaxy. 4. Went shopping to buy armor in case I do NG+ (so I do not have to buy them again). Karen is now ready for ME3.

Karen Shepard (ME2 LE): 1. Went to the derelict Reaper and recovered the Reaper IFF. Gave the bot to Cerberus 2. Jacob's loyalty mission. Left his dad in the hell he created. 3. Jack's loyalty mission. Convinced Jack to shoot Aresh. 4. Took the squad out for drinks. While Shepard was away, the Collector's abducted the crew. 5. Mordin's loyalty mission. Mordin shot Maelon, then destroyed the data. 6. Garrus's loyalty mission. Garrus shot Harkin in the leg, then shot Sidonis in the head. 7. Miranda's loyalty mission. Let Miranda shoot Niket. Following Miranda's lead, left before Oriana saw her. 8. Zaeed's loyalty mission. Let the workers die to kill Vido.
I am thinking I should have left Zaeed's mission until after the suicide mission, then kill him, but whatever. What's done is done.
TO DO: Tali's loyalty mission, then decide who I want to live/die, then suicide mission, then Arrival.

I recommend switching from Power Armor to Assault Armor instead. Assault Armor gives you a vastly larger detonation radius, and essentially more shields than Power Armor. Power Armor gives you +100% shields, but leaves you at health after breaking. Assault Armor gives you +75% shields, but then gives you +50% shields after breaking (so essentially +125% shields before enemy fire hits your health. Yeah, but that depends on weapon choice. If I pick up AR Guardian/Power Armor is better combo for lets say "support", for Shotgun Assault Armor/Raider is the best. I would argue (which I did in my previous post) that Assault Armor is better regardless of weapon choice. But in the end, as long as you are having fun with the game, use whatever you want.

Finished Firewalker, picked up Jack, Grunt and finished few N7 missions. Reached level 16 already and maxed out Tech Armor to Power armor and Sentinel to Guardian for now; still torn between AR or Shotgun pick. I recommend switching from Power Armor to Assault Armor instead. Assault Armor gives you a vastly larger detonation radius, and essentially more shields than Power Armor. Power Armor gives you +100% shields, but leaves you at health after breaking. Karen Shepard (Sentinel, ME2 LE): 1. Went to go visit Liara, only to find her apartment was now a crime scene. Met another Spectre named Tela Vasir. Tracked Liara down to a trade center, which was promptly bombed. Fought a bunch of mercs, found Liara, then found out Vasir was working with the Shadow Broker.
2. Chased down Vasir and killed her.
3. Hunted down the Shadow Broker and killed him. Installed Liara as the new Shadow Broker.
4. Saved 20 crates, downloaded logs from a crashed ship, then used the Hammerhead to recover some artifacts from the Geth.

Karen Shepard (Sentinel, ME2 LE): 1. Interrupted a Collector attack on Horizon. Argued with Kaiden.
2. Took a tour of Illium, did some quests. Apparently Karen romanced Liara in ME1. Forgot about that. (Or maybe I ninjamanced by Liara in ME1, but kicked Liara out of the cabin pre-Ilos. I forget. I assume I did the proper ME1 romance since I do not remember anymore).
3. Saved a ship from crashing into a colony. Took out some Geth on a foggy planet, and recovered some data. Destroyed a Blood Pack weapons facility.
4. Went to sunny (and radioactive) Tuchanka. Shot some pyjacks and did some shopping.
5. Saved Tali from the Geth on Haestrom. Kal-Reegar survived (without the Paragon interrupt).
6. Took the Hammerhead to a really cold planet and recovered some data before everyone froze to death.
7. TIM sent Karen to a disabled Collector ship. It was a trap. The Collectors barely survived and managed to escape before Karen and her crew tore the ship apart.
8. More shopping.

Karen Shepard (Sentinel, ME2 LE): 1. Scanned some planets. Picked up the Hammerhead, grabbed some data from a volcano, and then found a Prothean artifact.
2. Screwed up by not completing one or more open small side missions so I could gain a level. I was about 50 XP away from the next level, which would have given me enough points to max Tech Armor before the next mission. (Oops.) Screwed up again when I forgot to research some upgrades before the next mission, so no SMG Shield Piercing. (Woof.)
3. Helped Kasumi steal a greybox, but it was kind of a trap and had to fight my way out (without Assault Armor or the extra SMG shield damage) by killing a bunch of mercs, mechs, and a gunship.
4. Went to pick up Jack from prison, but the warden tried double-crossing me. So I started a prison riot and shot my out (and shot him dead).
5. Landed on a garbage planet to pick up Warlord Okeer. He ended up dying and I picked up some tank holding another Krogan instead.
Here is the current plan: leave Grunt in the tank. Will recruit Tali but not Samara or Thane. Not sure about squadmate deaths yet. Not sure about the crew surviving yet. I am leaning towards letting them die while I finish loyalty missions, but I may change my mind.

I have two existing characters in the Legendary Edition that are still waiting to finish the trilogy, so...
1. Briefly checked out Karen Shepard in ME1, saw that I had finished the game and that she had a full Renegade bar with a lot of Paragon as well (because I guess I saved a bunch of the colonists on Feros I guess). Loaded up ME2 and saw that I had no save file for Karen. Imported Karen and briefly checked her history. Ashley, Wrex, and the Council were dead. I forgot to check the romance status so I have no idea or care. I think she is supposed to be single but I do not remember.
2. The Normandy got attacked and was destroyed. Karen woke up two years later, really pissed off. The place where she woke up was under attack, which did not help her mood. Fought her way out and picked up some new squadmates along the way. Met the Illusive Man, who pointed her at a colony to investigate.
3. Met Tali at the colony. Discovered the Collectors were behind vanishing human colonies. The Collectors just became her number one target.
4. Recruited more crew members (Kasumi and Zaeed). Did some shopping. Punched a reporter for the second time.
5. Recruited Mordin from Omega and cured a plague. Recovered some dog tags and placed a memorial at the Normandy Crash Site. Rescued an old friend Garrus from Omega and killed a whole lot or mercs. Did some planet scanning.
I need to do some more planet scanning, then recruit Jack and Grunt. Not sure if I will wake Grunt; Karen will be an Assault Sentinel, so I kind of want the extra shotgun damage mod from Grunt's loyalty mission (plus shop discount), so I may wake him. Not sure who I want to live or die, so I need to decide that before I recruit anyone post-Horizon.

It's so annoying that we can't fight Thresher Maw on foot anymore. You can fight the Thresher Maw on foot, but you must get back in the Mako during the tentacle phase, otherwise it is an instant-kill.

I did nothing in any Mass Effect game today. But I did finally log back in to BSN for the first time in almost a year. (Some boring IRL stuff and general laziness/procrastination caused the time away). I had to recover my password so I could log in from another computer. I am now trying to catch back up on this thread, so my apologies if you end up getting spammed with a bunch of messages about how I liked your post.

BK Shepard (Vanguard, ME3 LE): 1. Replayed the final Leviathan mission. Kept all my credits this time.
2. Finished the remaining N7 missions: Fuel Reactor > Cerberus Fighter Base > Communications Hub.
3. Final shopping spree, bought some shotguns and some armor pieces. Upgraded most of weapons to V for any future NG+.
4. Bought party supplies and had a quick meetup with Joker. No one was buying his story.
5. Threw a party.
6. Went to Cerberus HQ. Kicked ass, destroyed a "Legion Assassin", and kicked Kai Leng's teeth down his throat ("That was for Thane and Miranda"). Kai Leng lasted longer than the Phantoms this time, because I did not want those Phantoms to become a threat and backstab me. Kai Leng is hardly a threat.
7. Went to Earth. Took out the Hades Cannon. Took out a Destroyer. Took a beam to the Citadel.
8. Met the Illusive Man, made him mad, then shot him. Talked to the Catalyst, chose destroy.
4 of 6 classes complete in the Legendary Edition. Just Sentinel (Karen) and Adept (Alex the A--hole) left to complete the 6-class circuit. Not sure when I will get to them as I want to move on to other games for the foreseeable future. I also have a few more playthroughs planned if I ever feel like it.
I also have the original trilogy on PC (never played). I also have one final original trilogy playthrough on Xbox 360 waiting in ME3 (Dimitri, Soldier).

BK Shepard (Vanguard, ME3 LE): 1. Completed the Unusual Scores mission in the arena. (First attempt today.)
2. Attempted to recover an artifact from Thessia. It was a Prothean VI. Kai Leng activated his cutscene powers to steal it from Shepard.
3. Went to Sanctuary and discovered a hidden Cerberus lab. Cerberus was studying indoctrination and trying to find a way to control the Reapers. Miranda died saving her sister from her father. Joker later commented on the squadmate deaths this playthrough (Miranda, Samara, Wrex, Ashley).
4. Tried to find Dr. Garneau, but only found more questions.
5. Met some crew/squaddies on the Silversun Strip and apartment.
6. Rescued Ann Bryson from Reapers. She helped Shepard find possible locations for Leviathan.
7. Found Leviathan and convinced it to join the war effort. *
* Weird glitch, either from a death or tabbing out of the game at an awkward time, but I lost all my credits during this mission (it also reset my medi-gel to 0 at some point during the mission). I loaded an older save and will replay this mission again at another time so I can keep my credits. Good thing I have been keeping multiple saves this playthrough; normally I just keep 1 save.

Going back to my comments about classes in ME2, I think Vanguard may have my least favorite point-allocation and ability scheme (It isn't my least favorite class, however.) Aside from Pull being locked behind Shockwave-2, Pull and Cryo Ammo on one class is a bit odd. I feel like I can do less with the Vanguard compared to Engineer and Infiltrator, so it might end up ranked behind them. Sentinel and Soldier have some problems with their allocation and ability schemes too, in my opinion. Adept, Engineer, and Infiltrator I find pretty satisfactory in that regard. All opinions expressed are entirely subjective. I generally do not like how any of the ME games handle point allocation. ME1 and ME2 require you to spend points on some talents to unlock other talents (Shockwave into Pull to use the example you provided.) I believe ME3 locks talents behind your level, but you will not notice it on an import. That being said: locking some your talents does reduce choice indecision with new players, so I can agree with that idea on some base level. However, more experienced players like us would prefer to get some other talents sooner, or just skip the talent we do not want. Removing talent unlock requirements would increase build variety. Now I will disagree somewhat with your opinion on Vanguard and Soldier. For Vanguards specifically, Cryo Ammo and Pull/Shockwave do not work well together. If you want to be more of a caster Vanguard, then you will not be using Cryo Ammo anyway. If you are a charge-focused Vanguard, then you will not be using Shockwave or Pull (although having Pull before Shockwave would be nice). Soldier also does not really suffer at all from their talent schemes: - First two missions (Lazarus Station and Freedom's Progress) are against mechs, and Disruptor Ammo rank 2 adds synthetic stun as crowd control. You start rank 1 Disruptor Ammo in Lazarus Station, and can level up and get rank 2 before Freedom's Progress. - After the first two missions you should recruit Mordin to unlock the research terminal. This mission is mainly Vorcha and Krogan. Incendiary Ammo will stop Vorcha and Krogan health regeneration. You can get Incendiary Ammo by level 3 which will be at a minimum after completing the first two missions. I suppose if you want Cryo Ammo on Soldier earlier, then I can understand that to some degree, although Disruptor Ammo rank 3 can also overheat enemy weapons and Squad Disruptor Ammo gives that to all squadmates when they use it. That weapon overheat will debuff the enemy so it helps reduce damage to Shepard even if it is not as obvious as cryo ammo's crowd control. And Concussive Shot has a 6-second cooldown (with no possible cooldown bonuses) so it simply is not attractive enough to use. You can very easily ignore it.

Started a NG+ last night with a focus on combat abilities, particularly the skills that use power cells. No matter how many times I play Habitat 7, I always seem to get smoked by regular Chosen. I was using the M3 Predator most of the time, but still. NG+ is so weird. I can have level 6 skills from the start, but can't change my armor, equip guns from my inventory, apply consumables are even collect mods because the inventory is beyond full. The NG+ needs better balancing IMO Weirdly(?), I have never played NG+ in Mass Effect Andromeda, so I cannot comment on it. Although in regular new game I have gotten into the habit of making sure I do not carry a lot of items. As for Combat powers with power cells, I ran a power-cells build with Concussive Shot, Flak Cannon, and Frag Grenades. It was one of the more fun builds I have done. You could replace any one of those with mines if you are so inclined. You could probably make the portable barrier power (I forget the actual name) work I suppose, but it never fits my preferred playstyle. You could probably mix+match the power-cell powers into several profile setups, and since they do not have cooldowns you can switch between them without problem. There is an armor piece (Kett chest I think) that adds +1 power cell which can help.

Last night I played some more BK Shepard (Vanguard, ME3 LE). I did the first two Unusual Scores missions, then got fed up and quit after dying a few times in the third/final mission.
I (jokingly) blamed the frame rate for my issues earlier in this thread, but I do not recall dying this much the last time I played a Charge+Nova Vanguard in ME3. I know original ME3 has issues where enemies are affected by the game's frame rate; enemies can react faster and shoot sooner on higher frame rates. (I recall someone once mentioned that setting the frame rate higher -- such as 240 FPS -- could cause enemies to shoot and hit Shepard before they even turned around to face Shepard). I am not sure if the Legendary Edition has the same issue.
Previously, I played original ME3 on Xbox 360 which is capped at 30 FPS. I am playing the Legendary Edition on PC; I checked some of the INI files at some point, but I do not recall what the FPS was set at.
Maybe I am just getting worse at the game over time. It happens. I know I am not as motivated to play the games as I used to be. I have played each game in the trilogy about three dozen times at this point; I was bound to get tired of playing them.
I should fire up the ol' Xbox and load up my original Charge+Nova playthrough and maybe record some gameplay to see if there is actually a visible difference or if I am just projecting. I just do not recall it being as hard as it used to be (on Insanity) in my limited memory. There have been several times where immediately after a charge my shields just get shot off, so no chance for a Nova at all. Normally I would charge > shoot > nova > nova > repeat and I can still do that somewhat, but now I find I have difficulty even just trying to charge > nova > nova (no shooting) as I have to frantically mash Nova and hope it comes out in time.
Again, this could just be me not remembering my original Charge+Nova playthrough on the Xbox (it was several years ago) versus now on PC. It just seems inconsistent at times, but again that just may be me playing really badly instead of actual framerate/game issue.

Do you think you will get to 100% completion this time? No I have never been able to get 100%, I gave up trying. Even following a mission list and completing everything on it that should have meant I'd get 100% I always end up on 99%. I deliberately skip certain missions these days. I have about a half-dozen Ryders. I have 100% completion in exactly 1 of those playthroughs... and there is an uncompleted mission in that playthrough (that cannot actually be completed). I have at least 1 Ryder that has no active missions (I completed everything I came across), and it is stuck at 99%. So who the heck knows?

BK Shepard (Vanguard, ME3 LE): 1. Hackett ordered Shepard to get some shore leave, so he visited Anderson's apartment. Then he got a message from Joker asking to join him for lunch, which led to an ambush by some mercs. He escaped mostly unharmed.
2. They tracked the mercs to a Casino owner. Shepard went to the Casino and managed to sneak in to his office, but he was already dead. Shepard managed to call back his would-be assassin on the comms and they yelled at each other. Shepard took the computer back to the apartment along with some credits he pilfered from some casino ATMs.
3. Went to the Citadel archives where Shepard met his clone. Very surprising, but kind of par for the course by this point. Shepard chased after the clone, but was trapped in a vault. Glyph helped them escape.
4. Traynor help the real Shepard board the Normandy before it took off, and he finally cornered the clone in the cargo bay. Vanguard clone was no match for the real Vanguard, mainly because the clone had poor choice in shotguns (the Wraith? Really? You use the Claymore dumbass, like a real Vanguard should! ALL HAIL HIGH LORD CLAYMORE!). In the end, Shepard took pity on the clone and offered to spare his life, but the clone committed suicide instead.
5. Shot Brooks.
6. Met some squadmates on the Silversun Strip. Played some matches in the combat simulator. (Decided to call it quits for the night before starting the Unusual Scores.)
