Never said he was XO. I said he assumed XO role when Miranda was off-ship, which was stupid. Where did you get the "he assumed XO" from? He would be the last one I would consider for XO. Considering EDI relayed all the information to him and he was the one to contact you whenever something happened, I don't think it's as tretch to say he assumed XO's role.

In ME2 it was pretty much Joker who assumed XO role (which is stupid imo), so if Cora is XO I think it's safe to assume Kallo Jath will take over if she leaves with us (unless BW stepped up their military game, which is sadly doubtful). Joker was XO in ME2? No. The tempest pilot for XO? No. Let him worry about flying the ship. The XO worries about the operations of the ship leaving the pilot to maintain focus when flying the ship. Never said he was XO. I said he assumed XO role when Miranda was off-ship, which was stupid.

Well, in theory we're not military, though I agree that we should have another one that assumes charge. We might not be military, but considering that pathfinder was choosen to be N7 and his XO is Alliance lieutenant, I think it's safe to assume at least branches of AI follow military structure. Aside from making chain of command more transparent, it simply makes sense.

Miranda was the XO. They could put virtually anyone in charge they wanted since it's not a military operation. And while the AI also isn't military, I'd guess they more closely follow that structure than Cerberus did. Your twin could potentially serve as XO. Still, we don't really know the full crew. Could be a non-squadmate will fill the role just like Pressly did. My point for ME2 is that Miranda was the XO but when she left the ship for going with Shepard there wasn't someone else taking charge. The same can happen in MEA. In ME2 it was pretty much Joker who assumed XO role (which is stupid imo), so if Cora is XO I think it's safe to assume Kallo Jath will take over if she leaves with us (unless BW stepped up their military game, which is sadly doubtful).

You don't know much about her yet. You've seen only one kiss and you're already emphasizing the profundity of your disappointment. Being disappointed about something isn't being judgmental about it. Bioware wants to go this way? Fine, it's their character. But I'm allowed to express my disappointment that they went a way I would have preferred they not. Don't you know already? If you don't like something BW has done and express it outside designated "hate threads", then you're in for a treat with people calling you various things. Even if you were judgemental about her (and you're not), I really don't see what's in it to other people. I've already got my fair share of being called ridiculous things in ugly females thread and /r/masseffect comments.

It probably meant to indicate her having butch look rather than having anything to do with her sexuality. She doesn't really look butch though. Not saying she does, but I'd wager that was their though process, because there's really no other reason to call her lesbian when we can see her kissing a man clearly.

"ugly lesbian"... sure, that's precisely the reason why the trailer shows her kissing a man. Mmmmhmmmm. It probably meant to indicate her having butch look rather than having anything to do with her sexuality.

Actually, I'd like her a little better if she were pro cerberus. I'm definitely going to do a cerberus aligned ryder playthrough. Just the thought of all that wonderous carnage just brings tears to my eyes. Time to show those aliens who the new kings of andromeda are. The colonization vibe of ME:A screams for conquistador option, but I have low hopes of such things from BioWare nowdays. They're doing such a good job with DS options in SWTOR, why can't they transfer that to DA and ME is beyond me.

lol. I don't know about the first two, but that hair definitely deserves all the scorn the internet can muster. Hell, I'll even go one up on that: I have zero trouble picturing her in an SS uniform. #godwin #shotsfired Alright, I'll try to talk about something other than her hair. So she was supposed to be DadRyder's successor? I wonder if there'll be friction between her and miniRyder now. Dat nepotim amirite? I'm fine with people not liking or hating the hairs, like you. I just don't get the feminist part. It's like my father that says often buzzcut hairstyles are for inmates. Well, I'm not sure how it was in other countries, but in Poland it was unheard of anyone other than inmates and soldiers to have buzzcut. That only changed when communist rule collapsed. I had my hair between 1 and 3 milimeters my whole life (nowdays it's always 1mm, I went shorter with time) and my grandmother often made the inmate remark when I was younger. As for Cora's hair being femminist, well, I can get their reasoning behind it. Her hair isn't usual and a fair share of women that I've seen wearing hair simillar to this one were in fact femminists. Still, it holds no more power than generalization. Just like women who have piercing above their mouths are often single mothers. You can't deny some visual traits can be attached to certain type of people, though never exclusively of course.

And... I've already seen people call her fat, man jawed and a feminist because of her hairstyle. I was very vocal in my distaste for DA:I's women (and ME:A's women before this trailer as well to be frank), but when it comes to Cora, then aside from her hair (which I can personally overlook since it's not totally short, but I can definitely understand people complaining) I don't see any problems with her. I mean, there's still a small chance she is some crazed feminists, but nothing from the trailer indicates so. I did notice however that characters look very weird from the side (that goes for everyone, not just Cora). I mean, characters in all games usually look a bit weird from the side, but it's very prominent in ME:A imo. I also don't see any jaw problems, which are definitely there when it comes to Cassandra.

More and more points to professional attitude. I'm very glad. Wonder what happens that we end up as Pathfinder rather than Cora though. Could she refuse in our favor? Doesn't make much sense from military standpoint as she has much more experiance.

my money is on her betraying us at some point to help Cerberus, because what's a ME game without Cerberus doing something pretty stupid So long as I can defect to protect Cerberus interests in Andromeda, I'm down for it lol. About time I could put my human supermacists RP to use, it's been a long time since endorsing Terra Firma in ME1.

I like her hair, but then I'm really into alternative cuts, boy-cuts, bobs, and stuff like that on women. I also like that her voice has just that smiiidddgen of raspiness. Has anyone recognized the voice actress yet? Someone said it's Cindy Robinson but I don't think it's confirmed yet. www.imdb.com/name/nm0732480/

There's a wine shop next to my home that I visit frequently and the saleswoman has pretty much identical hair to Cora (blonde as well). Can't get that out of my head now that I thought about it, ugh. I'm fairly certain I wouldn't be interested in any woman wearing such hair IRL, but I'm willing to overlook it in the game since it isn't totally short hair like Cassandra's that I can't stand. Now let's just hope that 4 years of training with Asari commandos, her age and the fact she's an XO makes for a level-headed professional character and I'm all set.

The game pretty much forced you to just work with Cerberus and only allowed you to decide how happy you are to do so. I'm sad that they forced you to completely sever ties after ME2 and made Cerberus typical ultra-bad organization as opposed to keeping it in grey area, perhaps even allowing you to rekindle ties for a common goal. I miss those 180 degrees spins you could do in older RPG games, like going Dark Side in KOTOR1 for example. While I'm not a fan of Cerberus, I continue to say that it'd have been better if they should've done is to have both Alliance and Cerberus working against the Reapers, and have Shepard decide which faction support/be with. There were a lot of missed opportunities for more greyish themes in the trilogy (ME1 was the best in that regard imo). Let's hope ME:A will be better in that regard. I'd love Cora to be professional, stoic and devoted to the cause character. I loved Dr. Lokin in SWTOR for being the ultimate pragmatic character. Ready to do the most "disgusting" (as in sending Imperial Death Squads to kill any witnesses) things if it made sense and served the cause (that being glory of the Empire of course!), but at the same time frowning upon any needless use of intimidation or violence. I wish there were more characters like that in games. If Cora at least resembled Lokin a bit, I'd be very, very happy. The pragmatic route is how I usually play my characters and I'm glad newer RPGs game embrace stoic/pragmatic options much more than the usual angel/devil choices presented in older RPG games.

You mean in the SR2 in ME2 or ME3? I can agree on the latter, but in ME2 we worked for Cerberus, which isn't a military organization, so rules werent supposed to be as strict. I'm referring to ME3. Your Shepard may have worked for Cerberus, but mine worked with Cerberus The game pretty much forced you to just work with Cerberus and only allowed you to decide how happy you are to do so. I never had a problem with ME3 Ashley's look. Though that may be because I use her armor skin and have helmets always equipped so it leaves her wearing a full helmet when on duty like in ME1 and having her long hair just to when on the ship or Citadel, which is perfectly fine. The only complaint I had with Ashley's design in ME3 was that silly default uniform, that we see no one else wearing. Beyond that I thought people made too much of a fuss over her appearance, and the hair was a non-issue. The Phoenix armor she wore in ME1 (that hardly anyone complains about) was also just as non-tactical, and looked equally out-of-uniform. Well, the hair was issue for me, since it's just as out place as her uniform. There's a reason no military allows you to wear hair long, especially THAT long and obscuring half your face no less. As for her ME3 outfit compared to ME1 armor, the difference is her ME3 uniform holds literally zero protection value. I never had any problem with boob plates in fantasy or sci-fi settings, because there's never any doubt about them giving protection. Compare that to some spandex suit with half undone zipper, ugh. I'm really the last person to be annyoed be sexualizatin (anyone who's read ugly females thread probably knows this), but if there's one thing I put above candy-eye, it's military professionalism, and neither her hair nor her suit makes any sense in that regard. She's a fucking Alliance officer, Lieutenant-Commander no less. There's no way she doesn't break any regulations, especially before she becomes Spectre. I really loved ME1 for maintaining military professionalism both with NPCs and Shepard's dialogue options. Admiral's inspection of ship is one of my favorite moments in the game. ME2 gave you some options in that regard (even though you weren't de facto military anymore), like your first Engineering visit ("I didn't hear captain on deck!") or with Kelly ("Let's keep it professional Yeoman.") and then when ME3 came out it was pretty much Robin Hood and Merry Company that didn't resemble military at all. Definitely not my cup of tea and I hope ME:A will allow you to maintain military discipline once you take over leadership.

I really liked Cora's old icon, to mention that. The new one feels iffy. I guess it's how pronounced the mouth got on it. I tend to look at the eyes (And no, that's not an euphemism, creeps). Also hair. The way a woman wears it, yeah? But long-haired pretty but not supermodel overshoot woman would be... Yup. I do say I like Ash for a reason. She's beautiful while not being an overdone AF supermodel, and has a great character. In the first, anyway. ME1/ME2 Ashley was great. She was very pretty while abiding military code (hair and all). I hated what they did to her in ME3. Leave long haired fighters to fantasy games and keep modern/sci-fi settings realistic on that matter for the love of God! I could definitely get behind hair changing depending if you're on a mission or ship/fully civilian area. Keep it in a bun/ponytail for engagements and let it loose on leave. The new Cora icon is really weird to me. I can't even imagine what her hair is supposed to be. Looks strange af.

No lesbian either. Since he counted 1, it's safe to assume he counts expansions as well (otherwise the number would be 0), so the number is simply wrong. Yeah, I counted Theron. I didn't realize Koth was a m/m romance too, so that number should be 2. I didn't count Cytharat because he doesn't have the 'this response will begin a romance' warning at all, so I just view him as a 'flirt' option and not a real romance. To balance core game being M/F only, Makeb has F/F and M/M flirts/romance, while SoR and afterwards has everyone bi (Lana, Theron, Koth and flirts like Empress Acina).

SWTOR is 2. Theron and Koth. That is if you only count companions, since there's also Lord Cytharat on Makeb arc. But all gay romance options in swtor are only available via subscription or dlc. There's no gay romance option in the original game. No lesbian either. Since he counted 1, it's safe to assume he counts expansions as well (otherwise the number would be 0), so the number is simply wrong.
