Your argument about Solas is ridiculous........ He is available to all straight female players, that counts as one. Nobody cares if you play only humans or else. Isn't Solas available to any player, period? what do we mean by available? he's only available to female elves.

They are: 1. full lips ... red coloured lips 2. pearly whites. 3. nice facial features 4. long legs 5. big eyes, small noses + tons of other stuff, ... maturity, intelligence, friendliness.... That's pretty damn racist. ALL men do not find WHITE WOMEN attractive. Hell, tons of people were gramp about not getting to bang Viv, and she doesn't match that description at all.

She still did not deal with her people with honesty. You guys are looking at her crime from her point of view, and it's true we get little POV from the townspeople.
but are you honestly saying that you would want your town leader to keep you completely in the dark about what was going on? She collected your neighbors, friends, and loved ones and made life or death decisions about them. The people did not sign up to be soldiers who voluntarily give some of their autonomy away in exchange for an ideal or money. They were just regular folk who didn't understand why uncle bob with the bad foot never came back. The towns folk were not chess pieces to be making efficient strategic decisions about.
MAYBE telling them everything would have resulted in their death as they tried to flee. but it was THEIR freedom and life to chance, NOT HERS.

Pyre :took me about 12 hours to complete. I did it on easy. Amusingly to me, I'd described the battle mechanics as "magical basketball" to the hubs and roommate, only for me to be looking up something on google and finding the battle mech described as "fantasy sports."The game's story reminded me a lot of some animes. I stayed engaged all the while. I like the music enough to add it to my playlist. Essentially, you're an exile from "the Commonwealth". In the end, you can reverse exile 7 people through lots of battles, including yourself at the very end. Once all of you are assembled back in the Commonwealth, a rebellion occurs. There are three possible endings, but vary only in how smoothly the rebellion went, death wise. Who did I send back? 1. Jodi the Demon. Apparently being in the "Downside", where exiles live, makes you grow horns. She'd been exiled many years. Combined with that story and the fact that my style of battle was fast and sneaky (and she was slow and aggressive) made me send her back. When I learn of the rebellion later, her history of military experience made me glad I sent her up.
2. Rukey. Dorian of a pup. He just really wanted to go back to the CW, and I obliged his sweet lil doggo face.
3. Sir Gilman the Wyrm. He should never have been exiled in the first place. Up he went.
4. Tizo the Imp: I found his fighting style kinda terrible, so mostly I kinda wanted him off my bench. I liked his cuteness and chirps also. I think I would choose for him to stay behind in the future, he honestly doesn't care where he ends up.
5. Pamitha the Harpy: I wanted her topside for the rebellion since she represented the other side of a war up top side. Thought her being redeemed would strengthen the rebellion and reduce the chance of the other endings.
6. Hedwyn: I actually considered leaving him behind. ya, he saves your life. Ya, he's a sweetheart and does the cooking. But his crime, though an act of reckless youth, still doomed lots of people to death. So out of all the choices, he kinda deserved to be Downside.
7. Olareck: He was due his freedom, having it stolen from him before.
Kept: Bertrude the bog witch: She's a super freak who looks like she doesn't mind being in the Downside Zea the moon touched: I tried to get her romance with another NPC to trigger. I failed that, but satisfied enough. I kept her so she could have the romance option. Reverse exiling her would have put her on the equivalent of another continent away from that NPC. Additionally, I just didn't think she'd be happy in the CW since she's a little extra spirtual and ditzy. Volfred the Sap: I didn't much care for this character. His little vacation from Nightwing duties meant countless years exiles couldn't escape via the Rites. Even if he did come up with the Rebellion that freed the CW ultimately, I just found that super selfish.
Who would I switch out if I played again? I'd keep Tizo, and throw one of the battles to send up one of the other competitors instead. (Ignorius (sp)) And maybe let my PC ascend as well, letting Olrech decide to give up his win for me. Or attempt to get PAmitha's sister, Tamitha, up there; she was a blood thirsty thing, though. Or even keep Hedwyn back, and let Zhae and her NPC friend/boyfriend go up with her via a thrown fight.

Let me get these thoughts out before I read any more.
Mages when cornered turn abomination could have set the fires, if they turned rage demon.
And what is the benefit of wasting so much effort on reconquering the South of there real concern is Solas? Yay, they conquer the South. There went a year or two of what time they had left. How does that help against Solas?
Edit add: it seems you indicate "to find magic to stop Solas even though they don't like magic."
But that is if the only goal were Tevinter. But already they're putting out feelers for attacking the entire south. And that won't gain them anything
...except the idea that maybe Antiva won't aid Tevinter since they're more concerned about strengthening themselves? So the Qun see them as a real threat?

Wow. Jory becomes a stuttering fool.merely for you mentioning you're a mage. What a coward, no wonder. He's such an inappropriate choice. If Duncan had seen how he acted in the wilds, he would have told him to go home.

India got it's independence from Britain 70 years ago. My indian boyfriend used the phrase, "Kindly do the needful" and I laughed my ass off, thinking it was just a hindi to english literal translation error. Even though he assured me he'd used it for years in many official capacities in India and no one had ever commented on it. But yesterday, I saw it used in an Indian movie, which finally made me look it up online. This phrase WAS used by the British starting in the Victorian Era. As an American, I've never seen it used, nor have I seen any of my british based acquaintances use it. And it still sounds like nonesense to my ears.

I feel like I have reliable high speed internet, and streaming "The Last of Us" to apply was beyond annoying. No problems with Origin/Steam's download and play options. I trend minimalist; there are very few things I want a physical copy of to then have to deal with storing. And it is very unlikely I'll bother enough to go sell it back to anyone.

It's all a mess, a crazy mess, from top to bottom. It leaves the Qun being more of an ideal to aspire to or hold up for "this is why we do this to you" rather than a belief strongly held by a people and a unit.
Therefore, they shouldn't be any more dangerous than any other country attacking Tevinter and Vintus' fall makes no sense.

Which pretty much renders a CC pointless in my opinion, but whatever. Maybe you could screen shot your CC screen to boast about what you built? maybe there are mirrors? maybe there is going to be this Online MMO thing later, so OTHER people will get to see what you built? I dunno, just trying to understand why they would bother to create one as well.

You know what I also didn't like, is that they seem to make Andrastianism more and more like Catholicism? Are they so bored with the pseudo Christianity they made up at this point that they're just copy pasting actual religion?

Don't forget Gaat not even blinking at talking to a Tevinter mage and even offering her a job.
Whatever Gaat's history, he wouldn't have been so laid-back about it unless they wanted to imply this was a common occurrence

You forgot pointy-eared face-tattoed human with the option to ask "Who is Mythal?" To be fair, there was only a few mis steps with the elf. But there are somewhere between 5-10 elf specific lines given to an Elf-quisitor. 0 for the dwarf and Qunari. and yes, I feel like the difference between 0-2 and 5-10 is a big difference. Part of what I loved about Dragon Age Orgins is that what gender and race I were constantly came up.

I don't understand the high expectations. Back in DAO, it also boiled down to "ugh, elf" and "ugh, mage". I got to bring up my specific background of being an elf during multiple personal camp conversations with Leliana, Alistair, and Zevran. I was excluded from marrying Alistair. As a MAge Elf, I got even more lines. I could intimidate while explicitly referencing my ability to cast fire balls to coerce people to do what I wanted. In DAI, a mage elf often had 5 choices instead of the basic 3. With all the perks (history, they spy stuff), you could have many as 7 choices. But there wasn't a Dwarf and Qunari Picture Option at any point. The qunari mage got the same mage option as a human or elf. And dwarf didnt even have that. Outside of a war table mission and a conversation with Josephine when she inquired about your past there was...nothing? even worse than nothing? because Iron Bull would say you weren't even a real qunari, so you had no idea what you were talking about.

The Rona has affected my life again. I delayed work by a month because of the lack of PPE. And now the shortage and high competition for the remaining jobs have had me cancel my fall semester to try to shore up my cash. If I don’t get a job this summer, I can’t afford the Fall Semester anyway without loans, and I refuse to take those on again. I've been debt free only a couple of years and I intend to stay that way.

vertigomezUgh, I hope they put in more effort than that to make the Qunari experience different. Dwarf was "short human" and Qunari "tall human" in DAI, but at least they were last minute add ons. I expect more from a game that made us wait 7 years.

...I’m really hoping they aren’t going to try and make the Qunari more a palatable by retconning their treatment of mages. Exactly. Before Tevinter Nights, I was really under the impression that Across the Board, they Qamek'd the mages. Kotogen(sp) from DA2 was executed just for being unobserved for a couple of hours. Now it seems the Ben Hasserath pick and choose based on the mages ability to conform? Their usefullness? It's not like they have a lie detector test, why would they trust them? I certainly wouldn't trust the Qun not to make a deal with me while they want to use me to throw fireballs at the South, then Qamek me at War's end. And now the Antaam is cruel to everyone, not just mages. So now they don't qamek all mages no matter what and they are cruel to everyone. There is nothing interesting about them at this point, their society is just like everyone else's. Corrupt and wishy washy
