So people are saying that there aren't more races because the story takes place in a cluster. OK. But is it ever going to be possible to move anywhere larger? Since Mass Effect is open world now moving to a bigger area would mean that they'd have to let us land on more planets. And that means making a lot of very detailed worlds. But is this really possible? It sounds like a lot of work to me. ME1 kinda did it but most of those worlds were barren and there was a lot of copy and paste in those missions. That wouldn't work out with a new game so how could they do it?

If you are talking about the story of Andromeda they really can't...
But if you are talking games in the future. I am imagining it will be 'easy' to add more races.

Get out of the Heleus Cluster to other star clusters in Andromeda, which I think will be a possibility in future games based on the discovery of Remanent technology.

They will introduce more species, but they just might be less advanced. I really want to see some freaky stuff that can't be f***ed. I just want to see anything that isn't a biped. Give me some freaky, nightmare-looking stuff.

We know the kett have enough resources to travel cluster to cluster. There is also the Jardan technology. It might be possible for easier travel in the future.

Give me some freaky, nightmare-looking stuff. There was a planet where one lived (forgot the name) but according to the orbital scans they died thanks to the climate changes the Scourge caused on their world. They could easily work with it again, after all star clusters are supposed to have between thousands to a few million stars (and i could finally have my dream of finding some low tech race in Mass Effect ).

I'm thinking that a future game will entail pursuing the Kett. I imagine finding races along the way who have been largely decimated by the Kett and willing to fight them til the bitter end. After all, defeating the Kett would mean they could survive and thrive again. So we got two new races openly revealed in MEA, as well as reference to the Jardaan. I figure the Jardaan will show up along the way, unless they're planning to make them the MW "Protheans" in the sense that they're long dead. Hope not, though. Maybe in MEA2 we get to meet the Jardaan and perhaps another race. Finally, MEA3 could introduce a couple more for the final battle against the Kett. There's potential for up to six new races to be introduced across the series without overdoing it in any single game.

You know, i really get the impression that the Jardaan aren't some benevolent race. The whole Angara creation feels to me like they were trying to make some "shock troopers" who would be able to interact and use their technology. But why do that? Then there is also the vaults. The Ryders can learn how to interact with the them to reset the vault and fix some of the damage caused by the Scourge. But during the course of the game we learn they (vaults) were there before the Scourge happened so their primary objective wasn't to heal the damage to those planets. So why terraform garden worlds? I know there isn't any hard evidence but i get the feeling the Jardaan are as big a menace as the Kett.

Clusters aren't really a thing anyway. A mass effect drive will take you out of a cluster as easily as you can drive from New York to New Jersey.

It's science fiction, the possibilities to introduce more aliens are endless.
A simple one, refugees driven out of their home cluster by the kett arrive in heleus.

I know there isn't any hard evidence but i get the feeling the Jardaan are as big a menace as the Kett. I don't think the Jardaan are super benevolent either. That said, the whole vault thing was implied to be the reason why there were so many "golden worlds" in the cluster in the first place. The Jaardan were doing massive terraforming across the cluster for unknown reasons. Based on the timeline I do hope we meet the Jardaan eventually though. They're only a few centuries vanished compared to the Protheans who were 50k years gone.

I actually hope the Jaardan are at least somewhat benevolent. I don't need them to be perfect angels, but I'd like for them to be a largely benign society, perhaps driven into obscurity by whatever unleashed the scourge. One of the things I really like about the remnant, the vaults, the reveal about the angara and Meridian is that we finally get to have some ancient technological wonders that aren't Ancient Evil, like the space blight we got in the trilogy. All of the things we use in the Milky Way are basically part of a huge death trap. I hope that's not the case here.

Now that the ME series is on ice, we may never know, but if there ever is a squeal, they will most likely have us move to a new cluster and add in more races. I believe that was the plan, so they could add a new cluster every time there was a game following ME:A. I do hope the series continues in the future, but it may be a very long wait.
