I'd say I'm surprised how few people even became Pathfinder, but having looked at achievement percentages for other games and especially RPGs, you'd be amazed how many people seem to start up a game and quit after 5 minutes. I wonder if it includes guys who played on the free EA access trial. Anyone who did that and never bought the game wouldn't be able to get past Eos even if they wanted to. Looking through my own completed achievement list I unlocked quite a lot in the early access, so I guess it does include people who never even bought the full game. True. XBL and PSN have no way of knowing that you're using a trial to play the game, in this context. Since they intentionally allowed persons to pick up from where they stopped in the trial, they had to leave trophies on for PC, as well. This thread makes me think of a good friend. He was playing and loving HZD, and then just stopped late in the game. He doesn't know why. Now, I see him playing SW Battlefront all of the time; and he just started Battlefield 1. This guy never finishes anything. DAO is the only RPG I've known him to play (HZD is great, but not an RPG). He quit in the Brecilian Forest, after telling me how much he was enjoying it. I suspect that persons who play in very short bursts have a harder time getting invested in these types of games.

Based on these numbers we can conclusively say that Peebutt and Lame are the most disliked companions in the game.

I'm currently wrapping up my 2nd complete pt of MEA, while he started and abandoned his first and has started up a second, and right now is just getting to Eos. He is much more of a casual gamer than I am, playing only a few hours on weekend days (and most of his game time is GTAV multiplayer), while I play a few hours every day. He never finishes a vast majority of the games he picks up. (though he did do 3 complete runs of the ME trilogy. I expect him to eventually finish MEA at least once, too)

Hmm. Maybe people really don't have time for RPGs anymore. It's surprising that anyone ever did. Let's say you've got a job, a girlfriend, other interests.... a life. How many hours a week are going to go into ME:A?

21% completed the game? That’s completely in line with the data that shows many players simply don’t beat games anymore. It’s also my argument for why developers should be giving out gold trophies (or the Xbox achievement equivalent) to encourage game completion. Some games only give bronze trophies for that (here’s looking at you, The Last Guardian), and to me as a gamer who beats games, that’s an insult, like getting crumbs thrown at you. There should be a gold for completion and a gold for Insanity. Darn the pointless, endless bronzes. My $0.02. It's also a sign of narrative failure on part of the writers, I hate to say it. More compelling narratives tend to have much higher game completion rates, looking at other games I've beaten and how I perceive the narratives by comparison to MEA's. For example, Horizon Zero Dawn has a whopping 50% completion rate (as reported on PSNProfiles). Uncharted 4 has a 64% completion rate on "moderate." Tales from the Borderlands - 50% platinum rate. TLoU Remastered - 44% rate on Normal (54% for the original on PS3). Even Mortal Kombat X had a 53% completion rate for story mode, LOL. Correlation between completionists (21%) and 100% viability achievers (19%) is strong. It shows that gamers who beat this game are generally very serious about their SP. It should tell Bio how important it is to make SP amazing. These are some very loyal customers to put in that kind of effort. They are Bio's bread and butter. Lose them at Bio's own peril. Seeing as how Cora’s loyalty mission had more completionists than the others seems more likely due to the Asari ark connection than romance pursuit. I say this because PeeBee’s was lowest, and I’m pretty sure she’s one of the more popular characters to romance, definitely not the least popular, at least. It could also be a consequence of all the steps involved to help PeeBee, though, as well. Anyway, tying an ark to a loyalty mission should enlighten Bio about what kinds of stakes (I love steaks, haha) loyalty missions should have for players to really care. High stakes may be more important than simply getting to know a character better. We want more promising and alluring hooks to go on loyalty missions, especially if it's not known how crucial they are to the ending, a la ME2. 3% of gamers beat Insanity? vegasflash must feel proud. 0.45% completed 20 Remnant puzzles – shows that this was simply the worst, most tedious trophy Bio decided to throw at us. Should never have gotten the green light, especially with how missable puzzles were and how they can require a complete playthrough do-over since too many can get locked out.

Here's those same statistics for PSNProfiles. Not sure how accurate PSNProfiles is compared to what XBox does, but it records the stats of all members who update their online trophies and then refresh their profiles on the site. For PS4, there are reportedly 20,454 game owners, 1,067 (5.22%) platinum achievers, and average trophy completion is 33%.
Overall state of completion
- Only 88.89 % became the pathfinder - Only 82.17% of all players gained access to the Tempest - Only 75.08% activated a remnant vault - Only 73.94% established an outpost - Only 70.26% made it as far as Aya - Only 27.47% of all players completed the game
AVP
- 53.23% of players got 1 planet to 100% viability - Only 27.30% achieved 100% viability on all planets
Loyalty
- Players who completed Drack's loyalty mission - 30.57% - Players who completed Peebee's loyalty mission – 27.17% - Players who completed Vetra's loyalty mission – 34.58 % - Players who completed Cora's loyalty mission – 37.13% - Players who completed Jaal's loyalty mission – 29.12 % - Players who completed Liam's loyalty mission – 30.90%
Difficulty
- Completed the game on insanity (or 5 gold MP extractions) – 10.79%
Random
- 48.31% equipped 3 different profiles - Performed over 100 power combos – 37.23% - Detonated 10 targets primed by a squadmate – 37.89% (AKA, Biower pls, give us squad control back).
Rare achievements
- Detonated trip mine with thrown enemy – 15.21% - Only 7.24% completed 20 remnant decryptions in a single playthrough - Only 19.35% killed 100 enemies whilst hovering - Charged an enemy from cloak – 17.50% - Hit an enemy with a thrown enemy 25 times – 13.75% - Shattered a frozen enemy with aerial melee – 23.58% - Got a strike team to level 20 – 16.02% - Travelled 30m in one jump – 20.33% - 3 enemies ignited with one flamethrower attack – 20.59% - Melee's 25 floating enemies – 13.74% - Keep Nomad airborne for 35 seconds – 12.22% - Completed 3 romances across all playthroughs – 9.84% - Unlock rank 6 for each profile (or MP equivalent) – 9.69%

Ok, here's my analysis comparing PSNProfile stats vs. XBox stats (and I'm done).
There are many more players who care about trophies (that’s what PSNProfiles is generally about) who made it to Aya – 70.26% vs. 56.86%.
Look at that correlation between gamers who beat/complete the game (27.47%) and 100% viability on all planets (27.30%). Wow. Again, SP gamers who beat Bio games are dedicated and should be respected.
Yet, as to completion, there’s a strong correlation that gamers don’t beat games, including lack of incentive and/or failure of the writers' narrative – 27.47% vs. 20.95%.
As to viability, half of trophy hunters get at least one planet there, but even they can’t be bothered to go for all planets, which shows that planet viability is simply too tedious for gamers’ tastes. Notice how one planet viability (53.23%) drops to 27.30% for all planets. That’s about a 50% drop.
Loyalty between PSNProfiles and Xbox stats seem to match up. Cora’s loyalty mission is still the most popular, while PeeBee’s is still the least popular.
More trophy hunters beat Insanity/Gold runs – 10.79% vs. 3.04%
Detonating targets primed by squadmates is still really low and shows that Bio definitely needs to return squad mate control power to the player – 37.89% vs. 27.26%
The Remnant puzzles trophy is still too tedious for too many gamers – 7.24% vs. 0.45%. Perhaps the trophy being low is up to one’s individual tastes, but Bio shouldn’t have locked players out of so many missed puzzles during a single playthrough.

It's crazy. People nag about how open world games are so much better than linear games and they don't even play the damn things.

Owned all the Dead Space games and yet to even start them. Own all the Witcher games and only just started W1 maybe 4 months ago. I get focused on things and have to give myself time to play them.
Only completed all the DA games once. Love them but not sure why only one complete play through.
ME games, man I gave up counting the number of times I completed them. On my third complete run of MEA.

As far as the Cartographer trophy, I completed my 3rd playthrough the night before last. There are 22 decryptions available with 6 being missable. Checking my notes heading into the endgame I realized that I was sitting at 21 without the trophy popping for me. I didn't even bother and just finished quickly. Because really, what's the point? Between this bug and strike team bug, it looks like I'll never platinum this game. What am I supposed to do? Do a 4th, 5th, 10th playthrough in hopes that it'll work eventually?

Who puts the word "only" before the stats? Doesn't seem to fit a lot of times.
