They added the X5 Ghost ASSAULT RIFLE INTO THE GAME FINALLY! I just hope it's worth the points. I horded a lot of research data in hopes that this would appear. I'd like it to replace my Valkyrie as my primary weapon. You can't replace the Valkyrie. The Valkyrie is a pure God amongst weapons. Capable of dominating the battlefield with nothing but a glare and a slight whisper from its burst firing barrel. ...Honestly I think even though I preferred the noise the firing in ME 3, it seems like the new Valkyrie in MEA hits like a freight truck. Especially against health. bit weak against sheilds..which is weird because I had the exact opposite impression in ME 3.

Actually I like the way Default Sara looks. And I like the new outfit. I just don't like how we might have to start a new game to get the new outfit. I watched a video on YT and she didn't have to start a new game to get it. That's why I said might. I'm tying to figure this out.

At least that's what it felt like when I was running around with it for 5 minutes before I had to leave for work. Only 3 Aug slots so it may be best to save before hand to see what augs will be good with it.

Has anyone else noticed default Sara has hot pink lipstick now or are my eyes playing tricks? It's a simple trick. To combat complaints of hideous looking characters they make them even more hideous so that everyone starts proclaiming that the characters looked better/good before the update. This get's the developer of the hook and allows them to ignore future calls for further improvements. They have been pulling this one for years now, and it works......so far.

But here, it's pretty dominant, and it better for how many points it needs to get to X and that it has lots of aug slots available. But I use a PAW with seeking rounds to strip defenses, so shields are no problem.

Black Widow, Valiant, and then the Valkyrie the closer I get to the baddies.

Though I have the additional aug slot crypo pod unlocked so it may only be 2 if you don't have that bonus.

Honestly for the future I want them to start adding in additional augments/ abilities/ and mods in the game. The selection of mods especially leaves...a lot to be desired honestly. I want things like laser sights (that don't take up the same slot as a scope) and silencer attachments for the weapons that may nerf the damage but gives you additonal options in combat.
I mean hell this is not something I was really looking forward to in an RPG but dammit, I've never been able to put more then three mods at a time on a weapon, even my weapons that I put a double mod augmentation on, because there just is not enough variety and different things.
As far as the abilities are concerned. The combat tree really needs to be buffed. The combat abilities were some of my favorite in the trilogy, probably my favorite actually, but now its just...well Tech is amazing...Combat is alright, and biotics still pretty much suck. Combat could use abilities like Stim packs and more specific things for Snipers like, if not Marksman, then you can have things like Assassinate...Carnage...etc etc.

I love switching to my PAW, putting on disruptor or incendiary ammo, and just spray around and then let the team mates hit a fire or tech combo, then switch back and finish them off.

I love switching to my PAW, putting on disruptor or incendiary ammo, and just spray around and then let the team mates hit a fire or tech combo, then switch back and finish them off. i might have to try the PAW with one of my alt Ryders, if I get around to them. Considering...well my last PT of ME 3 something weird happened so I didn't have access to either the Black Widow or the Valiant, had to run around with the Viper for a good chunk of the game, which annoyed me, so for my 'Special Forces' Ryder I was really eager to have my proper build, and when they said they could have multiple weapons of the same type AND the Vintage Heat Sinks, which I always wanted the Valk to have ME 1s firing mode, that is just what I had to do for one of my Ryders to get revenge. BUT like I said if I do an alt Ryder the PAW is very much at the top of my list of weapons to try out.

That cool they actually added the X5 Ghost assault rifle! Too bad I don't have any research points to research it Also too bad about the new deluxe content only being accessible if you've still got special deliveries to pick up. I hope they fix that too. I mean, I'm going to start a new game maybe soon, but I'm still just now finishing up on this playthough, and, well... until it's fixed, I might try to load a chapter save and check out the new stuff, but I hope it eventually gets fixed so I can go ahead and use it in my current save. Does anyone know if they fixed the clipping on the Pathfinder Vigilant (rank V and above) chest armor? I'll check it out for myself in a little bit to make sure.

Combat on insanity is suddenly half as difficult (on PC). That's a major bummer...it's basically why I'm still playing.
