Combat on insanity is suddenly half as difficult (on PC). That's a major bummer...it's basically why I'm still playing.
I noticed that too. I haven't played in a while and I booted it up today and I was thinking this is sooo easy what difficulty do I have it on? I was shocked when I saw I had it on insanity.

I think they got rid of the enemy scaling to your level. No more bullet sponges.
There's no more bullet sponge anymore in the single player.
Game is ez mode now even on insanity and being level 132.
This was one of my concerns. I was playing a Level-20 Adept last night before the patch, and again this afternoon. The difference was marked. Enemies crumble under combos as if I'm playing on Normal. I'm not yet sure how I feel about it. The grinding issue was real, particularly with Architects and other super-bosses. Also, having enemies routinely survive Biotic Explosions and the resultant 400' falls was obnoxious. The grind was so bad with Architects that I flirted with the idea of turning down the difficulty, simply to speed the fights.
I've yet to sample other builds or levels, aside from my Level-20. Typically, an Adept (Pull/Singularity/Throw with 2.5 passives) would still be a bit fragile at Level 20. Maybe the Adept is a true glass cannon, now, on Insanity? They can definitely match my v1.05 tech builds, now, in the sense that nothing survives long enough to matter. (With tech, I'd simply been impossible to injure.)
I'm not sure what to think, yet; but I'm inclined to think it's better than before. The game still isn't as easy as ME3, from what I've seen. Also, these same adjustments were applied to MP Silver and Gold. If it's going to get easier, I'd prefer it be across the board like this. Better a game that's "a bit too easy", but fun, as opposed to a bullet-sponge grind that makes you question why you're still bothering to play Insanity.
I'm rambling. Time for sleep.
I guess I'm just part of the 1% out of the majority who liked how enemies were pre patched. I never had a problem with bullet sponge even while playing a power combo based build I still wrecked most enemies that weren't HP heavy like behemoths, hydras or fiends. Though then again not everyone's skill level is like mine.
Right now I don't even have to put in as much effort or even feel in danger of dying anymore at least with my current build. I pretty much have to go out of my own way to die which I think is pretty dumb in my opinion, enemies were challenging and kept me on my feet and heavily punished my mistakes which is non existent now in this patch.
If I was making a new Ryder from scratch then obviously it would be the opposite. But I don't feel like making a new one just to feel like the game is challenging to me as it was pre patched.
Either way maybe i'm just selfish but I'm still kinda sad about the single player balance, unless I do stuff like gimping myself and using low level equipment to give the enemies a chance to even kill me or not put in as much points into the skill trees.
Is there a trick to getting your new casual duds? I can't seem to interact with the special delivery terminal on the Tempest. Somewhere else I have to go get it?
Forgot to mention, I do have the SupDel edition.
If you collected all your delivery items... chances are tou won't be able to collect those new items anytime soon. For some reasons they appear only if you have something else to collect.
If three humans are in the room, there will be six opinions.

I recall seeing a lot of complaints about the bullet sponges, and with BioWare's penchant for overcorrection, the result was inevitable.

Nice humble brag.
You have to think think in terms of starting from level 1. It's part of the game. It's certainly a bigger part of the standard experience than repeatedly playing the same level-132 Ryder, which is the epitome of a corner-case. I agree that the game is significantly easier, now. I'm just not sure that the old grind was ideal. It's not a matter of skill. I can stride through Insanity without even losing health, with most builds. It's a matter of taste. That enhanced difficulty came with a few absurdities.
Also, the enemies hit just as hard now as they did with v1.05; and that first patch increased their damage output. I'm not sure why you think they're not hitting as hard. Some of them got gutted, in terms of defenses. Maybe they're dying too fast to injure you? That was my experience, earlier, with a level-20 Adept.

Yeah, it makes crafting high tier armor and weapons with all sorts of buffs completely pointless. I swapped out all my crafted gear for base stuff. Still too easy. Enemy scaling was the only thing making pushing my level upward indefinitely worthwhile. Now it makes ME3 insanity look downright brutal. Gotta love Bioware's need to address a few scrubs complaints at the expense of what most consider the best part of the game. Damn, I wonder if I can roll back to 1.05.

- better hair quality, now my M!Ryder's sideburns don't look like they were glued on - some of the MP balance changes are in place SP too: like the assault turret got buffed, annihilation nerfed etc. Singularity is all over the place - Same for weapons: for example Ushior got buffed, Vanquisher nerfed, no change to Valkyrie etc. - Got that new AR, Ghost-whatever - Can't claim the new outfit or the blueprints and such if I don't have something else to claim too. I can now at least deconstruct the pathfinder weapons, but still can't craft them higher than V. - Kett shields got seriously nerfed, they count for jackshit now, even on Insanity.

Anybody's Nomad HUD overscanned after 1.06 patch? I know it's not my TV. Because my TV wouldnt just overscan the Noman HUD and nothing else, plus I checked my tv setting (Also it was fine with 1.05 patch). Basically the mining computer is like 10% overscanned, etc.
(PS about enemy leveling being removed, I thought that was an option you could change if you didnt want it? So they completely removed that, i dont get it. Maybe put it set on non-leveling by default for new players but dont get rid of the option entirely, makes no sense.)
I'm not currently home so would someone of you younger lads post the image with the new Mako skins? Thanks
It's the Nomad BTW but those of us who've played the trilogy know what you mean
Ahh but you see I just can't help myself with calling the thing Nomad...it's like when you get stuck with a name and then you simply can't get rid of it.
I wonder if the krogan slap fight was fixed. I admit, I would be pleased, yet somehow saddened. I'm glad I recorded the video though. Looking at Ryder and Drack shake their heads is too precious.
It seems intentional actually xD
Its a reused animation if Shepard and Vega thats why.

I got the X5 Ghost and Pathfinder VI+ research. I checked my quarters for a new outfit didnt see it. How to I get the nomad skins will just be there or do i have to pick it up at a vendor? Weird things is I did preorder the game but dont have the deluxe or special just regular edition, so did everyone get the ghost gun?

If you haven't got deluxe or higher you don't get any of these, far as I understand it.

Persistent false E-mail notifications are gone and APEX console doesn't crash every time I open it. That's pretty much all I've noticed. There are several quests I still can't finish. I've never been able to finish "Defeat the Kett" quest on Eos, but this quest just became even more hilariously bugged. Before, I was only unable to open the door to the elevator (people suggested going back and checking for enemies inside the walls -- I tried that and there was nothing there) but now this is what happens. Watch the compass:
And this keeps going on forever.
Alt-tab issue is still there. I've never been able to close the game properly because it freezes up every time I select "Exit to Desktop". Prior to patch 1.05 I was able to minimize the game with alt-tab and then close it from the preview in the task bar but since 1.05 I have to pull up task manager every single time and end the game from there. Cora still grins at everything and everyone like a lunatic, so no improvements there. Mercifully, it looks like there weren't any "improvements" to the appearance of my custom Sara either, which is great news considering the "improvements" to the poor default Sara.

The Defeat the Kett quest finished just fine for me - before the last patch. What does happen though, when you save inside the facility and exit to desktop to return later, all the enemies as well as the turrets at the entrance have respawned.
As for not being able to exit to desktop. Sometimes I also called up task manager to kill it. It takes overly long at times. Sometimes minutes before it actually closes.

The X5 Ghost is universally patched into the game. The Pathfinder Elite weapons are preorder bonuses. The new outfit and Nomad skins are for Deluxe/Super Deluxe customers.
abaris , the Deluxe was $10 more. We all had a choice to preorder standard, deluxe or super-deluxe (+$30?). You probably chose to order the standard, intentionally or not. You'll still get the Ghost and a ton of benefits from the patch. If you do want the Deluxe perks, you can purchase the deluxe upgrade.
