Remember? I am playing Andromeda again and it is making me feel like that. It's Mass Effect and all of its magic through and through. For me personally, Andromeda is a pretty good shooter with a few cut scenes thrown in for good measure but it's a universe away from Mass Effect. This is more RPG than ME2, which was more a shooter. I love ME2, but pointing out the obvious. So don't see your point about it being a universe away in the way you are implying.

Funny, I get the same feeling playing Andromeda.
I could be alone, but threads like this makes it seem the OP of the thread wants to try and convince people that everyone feels the same way as they do and that just is not the case. I enjoyed Mass Effect 1 for what it was and through all the glitches and problems I had with the game, just like I am enjoying Mass Effect: Andromeda through all its glitches and problems.

They broke the mold. I fear we will never experience such joyous tingles ever again. Ever played Jade Empire? It looks pretty dated now, but holy cow... it came out of left field for me and I loved it. Neverwinter Nights? Oh man... I see it this way and everything you're going to say after is probably stuff I am going to agree on. Inquisition was their last title with the doctors. It had issues with pacing, some questionable lore and one-and-done side quests that you never want to repeat again. It had MAJOR issues with the PC port on release and I was pretty tired with yet another bad release. Two months later, the game was playable past the first Act because I couldn't seal the rift before then. Walking became an option on the PC five months later (5 months to figure out how to code that into Frostbite without jacking something else up along the way) and program a mouse with more than two buttons (derp. Sorry. Not Sorry). Anyway, I derailed myself hard there. What I was saying that I got those tingles when I held aloft that sword the first time in Skyhold. The glitches were bad though and I totally got bored because of the banter issue. It's execution that's lacked. In Andromeda's case, same, but worse. The doctors are gone. 13 leads gone. The lead of leads... gone. PS4 was a mess at launch. About six weeks later, right? Patch 1.05. I got Ryder on my second canon run (which is still aborted. I'm going to start fresh on the new rig in June) and just got tired of the pacing issues and the constant reloads. However, there were a lot of great moments in between, but the bugs and glitches are too numerous even for a junkie like me. But guess what? Edmonton and Montreal are now staffed with people who are legitimate veterans of Frostbite. The games were good. Inquisition eventually earned GOTY in my opinion with Trespasser. Andromeda will never have that chance because it was released as a commodity instead of legitimate art. Bugs and glitches are expected, but when it's basically feels like you're just killing time. You're having to reload earlier saves because the current one just broke. Then you are going to have a very human, but negative reaction. It's a slap in the face to those that worked on it and to the junkies like me who want their fix NOW. Montreal studio made Omega. Remember that? If this is what they do forever, I'm super fine with that. It takes skill to produce a DLC that can stand on its own legs and still improve upon the vanilla game like it did. Aria is iconic Asari badass #1. Shut up Liara, Samara, Morinth, PeeBee and every clone on the Nexus. Late hit. 10 yard penalty. I'm looking forward to it. I'm looking forward to Dylan. I'm looking forward to more Dragon Age. I'm ready.

What would make you change your mind? I didn't experience Mass Effect the same way as you. I bought the entire trilogy as a boxset for PS3, when I learned that they finally included M/M romance in ME3. I was well aware of the discussion around it, and when I was playing ME1, I was mostly struck by how little content there seemed to be, outside of the main story. What did you like from Bioware?

I didnt care you couldn't romance her. It wasnt about sex it was about blasting through a mass effect relay to this Then listening to this. And meeting this guy. And then talking to this guy. And then this happens. Then you stand on top of a dead Reaper, without even catching indoctrination. Like a boss.

First BioWare game was DA:O. I discovered it because I was specifically looking for games where I at least had the option of being gay. It was already outdated, but I enjoyed it anyway. I played through it like... five times? I only finished it twice, though. That's a lot for me. Usually once I'm done with a game, I trade it in.

This one was so good it wound up in MEA trailers. NOW. We're on topic. For me when I hear that song... I'm pulled into the immersion as deftly as riding down a slide into a pool. It doesn't take you long and then you're staring out the window of the SR-1 Normandy.

OMG, this is so beautiful... I really miss everything I felt during playing MET - they knew how to play on my feelings and emotions. MEA doesn't have it. Not at all, not ever for a single moment. That's why is so different, and so much worse than MET. DAI at least got "The Dawn Will Come" and Skyhold theme - i still remember that I (edited) got tears in my eyes when i saw it for they very first time !!! Oh gosh, you really f it up BioWare, you really do.................................................................
Dr. Chakwas asked about MEA will probably say "Andromeda lacks the same... enthusiasm".

I only remember that I had to visit anger management classes, because of the Mako. I'm pretty sure that's not something I should feel. maybe you should have joined the PC master race and maybe you should not take curves and drive over bumps and mountaintops at full speed, that wouldn't work too well in RL either ME is, and never was, a car simulator. The only times I had problems with the Mako were my own faults, just like trying to take a 110° turn at 100mph and wondering when you hit the house.

Man the ME:1 Main Theme gets me every time. Standing by the window while Anderson and Udina talk, before the text and Mass Effect pop up on the screen. Then Shepard walking through the Normandy to the bridge before they reveal your character and you go through the relay for the first time. Intro was flawless, just flawless, grabbed me right away.
