Yeah, no. I don't see that happening. Plus, I am kind of excited about Dylan from what they said about it. It sounds like a game from my wet dreams. If you wouldn't mind, what have they said? I haven't been keeping up and I'm curious.

Visit all the homeworlds, their capital cities, play as all the species. Think about it. Good, huh?

I would rather they not. They have to go by a set lore and everything. The way they are doing it now they have more freedom to do what they want. Let Dylan become my sci-fi dreams that doesn't screw up like Defiance.

I think some of the higher ups from Bioware went to a party hosted by Bethesda. There was skooma. There were lusty Argonian maids. Photos were taken. And that's why Andromeda is what it is. FTFY Dylan probably got pushed back because Bioware can't produce material quickly enough and EA doesn't want a rushed mess on their hands.

i don't think EA cares about MEA's quality or the next ME game's quality, they only want to make money there will be no "rescue" whatsoever
maybe a dlc
but what is a "rescue" ? they must make the game again,

Good, huh? No, but I'm also not representative, since I don't care one bit for MMOs or online gaming in general.

No. And here's why. A) There is absolutely no proof that ME has been put on "hiatus". It makes perfect sense for the studio to use existing members to boost their current groups with release dates far closer than any new Mass Effect game. That's what gaming studios do. It's common practice, and Kotaku is a genius for exploring the fact that no one seems to know that so as to spread their no-source click-bait story across the web. Bravo, you're a sucker. Mass Effect is not now, and has never been, a"cash-cow". I think Bioware and EA got way more money they were expecting from the ME3MP, but other than that their big cash cows are FIFA and Battlefield. Those titles make more money than any Bioware game could dream of making. So no, they aren't going to postpone or axe their new microtransactions IP to "save" Mass Effect. C) It wouldn't take a big group at Bioware to start working on MEA:2, since having a release date even as early as 2020 would be pushing it anyway. It's obvious they hadn't started on the next title, some MEA was being made up until and after going gold, so first they need to through around story ideas, new and changed gameplay elements, and work on concept art, all which don't require the same people that would be helping Battlefront II and "Dylan" teams with finalizing their projects. Different people do different things.

Secondly to that point I quoted, BW gave up their ability to disagree when they sold themselves to EA. Just a small correction: EA purchased the holding company that owned Bioware as well as Pandemic Studios. I don't Bioware could have sold itself to EA. That is fairly close. BioWare and Pandemic basically wanted to join forces and make a major studio between them (in a lot of ways it sounded a lot like they wanted to become what BioWare is today) and they went to an investment firm to get the capital to so by basically signing both companies over to the investment firm. EA went to that investment firm and offered them twice what they had loaned BioWare and Pandemic and purchased BioWare and Pandemic from them. It also the same thing that basically happened to SOE they needed capital and went to a group of investors. The problem is that narrative doesn't fit into the internet's obsession with BioWare and "how they sold out" just like they are latching onto Mass Effect being in hiatus with no proof aside from the standard studio restructuring after releasing a game.

I never followed that narrative. I only say the same I say about any major corporation buying up the competition. It's bad for the consumer if there's less. That lies in the nature of corporations. They are bodies directed by people who aren't directly invested in the products they're selling. They are only interested in pleasing their shareholders by making as much profit as possible to cash in their bonusses. In short, beancounting trumps quality.

What do we know about the new IP? I heard it was going to be a first person shooter but I am praying to the Bioware/EA gods that this is NOT true!
