Fucking PoS starts always a couple of Webthingblahblahclient hogging resources. I've disabled it all - BF1 is already crash prone without Origin adding it's crap.

So Origin keeps failing to start up, preventing me from playing any Mass Effect today or maybe forever. Does EA even want people playing their games anymore? If I ever get this issue fixed and finally finish with Mass Effect MP 3 for good, I don't think I'll ever be supporting another Origin videogame ever again. Stop supporting these dick wads. Especially when there's already a perfectly fine working Steam. And not like EA will ever put out anything of worth anymore once ME:A multiplayer fails.
Come to think of it, even EA has no faith in their Origin. Why else wouldn't ME:A beta testing be on Origin? Because the bug testing would be through the roof, of course.

Same issue. Origin keeps failing to start up/sign in. Only fix seems to be uninstalling then installing.

Probably half the time origin just refuses to launch games when I click play in the client and then when I minimize origin (but leave it running) and try to launch them from desktop it tells me I can't play without origin installed
I can't play video games with this video game client ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Update for anyone using the newer version of Origin and who can't get it to start. Try this:
- using Task Manager, make sure no Origin processes are running
- navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin
- delete OriginThinClientInternal.exe
- restart Origin
If you don't want to do that, this also might work:
- disable internet access
- start Origin
- log in using offline mode
- enable internet access
- in Origin, go online

Guys, I'm too lazy to see if this's already been posted, but here's a tip.
Today my processor was used at 100% capacity thanks to Craprigin & processes friends. So I just closed the Origin window and it dropped to 30% (with an origin game running). My friends have experienced the same issue and it seems that the solution is to close the piece of shit that is the laucher (but keep the origin process in the background).

You could also downgrade back to the old version if you want, while still retaining access to the new version. |

Origin just told me that I should update my OS to at least Windows 7 or newer to enjoy all the features. I'm running Windows 10.  Also, the only way to get it to start in the first place was to start a random EA game. Starting Origin itself just got me a blank window for 10 seconds and then nothing. Quality software... edit: And for some reason it reverted back to the old design. Did the auto updater just install a previous version over the current one? Oo |

Which isn't too bad I guess as the new design is just terrible. But thanks for the hint about fixing the startup issues. I'll keep it in mind in case it happens again. |
