The new lol Origin

I never said it's not shit, I just said it doesn't look any shittier to me than it did before. Which is a matter of taste, not fact, so.

The focus thing SMR mentions isn't new, I know a lot of people suffered from it on and off with the old version too, and I myself had it (and probably still have it) with DAIMP. Of course that doesn't make it any less shit, but there it is. The scaling issue looks really bad, though, no argument there.

Dunno, seeing the reactions here I'm pretty sure that there's no substantial change they could've made that wouldn't make people complain.

I hated it when the older version of Origin pixalted the profile pictures (it's a relief now). This new one is not impressive, just ok. I wonder how Origin would look with glossy black-orange color combination.

Also Nox's been too long on 'On The House'. Hope they give us something else.

I mean, it can be annoying when a program or website changes it's layout, but until I run into any actual issues in terms of online connectivity or user experience (for the record, I have not), I have no reason to complain.

They actually made that worse.  On the old Origin, it only happened if you didn't already have a message window open.  The workaround was to open a message window, even if you have nothing to say to a person.  Now there is no workaround, and it happens EVERY TIME you get a message.

Well now I'm curious to see if it'll happen to me too, but everyone on my FL is either asleep in some time zone far far away, or in hiding, or both.

Also I actually lied, what happens to me with DAIMP is that anything that triggers an origin notification steals focus, but just for a second, so that I see my screen go black and then back to normal without any action on my part (of course, a second afk is often more than enough to ruin a game). Might not be the same thing at all, but somehow I'm sure it is. Never had it with ME3 though. Could it have to do with the fullscreen/windowed settings?

Does it work with modmaker?

It's about time we all move away from Origin for the purpose of chatting and just use Discord instead, which does it way, way, way WAY better. Just keep Origin friends when you need to invite them to games but DON'T use the chat feature, it's even worse now. Use Discord instead and move your friends there. For those that don't know Discord keeps all chat history permanent, is not buggy as hell, and also supports images and communities sort of like small image boards servers with chat rooms and voip rooms. Not to mention beautiful, simplistic modern design (space efficient, not a terrible joke like Origin). It's actually a really genius invention, and puts other social IMs and voip apps to shame.

I'm actually wondering why does BSN still not have official Discord server with different chatroom/imageboards..? Or do we have one? We use one for the modding community but that's about it.
