I barely even complain about apps, but damn. I complain about games often, but how could you screw up a game launcher so badly?
I don't like Steam either btw.. just because it's bloated. But at least they don't screw up basic shit like scaling.

I mean the material theme looks fine but no separate detachable friends pane wtf You can detach it by clicking the round thingy to the right of your online status and choose "open in a new window" But guess what? The dumb program doesn't remember you did that, so after a restart, you'll have to detach it again and resize it again  Oh, awesome. This is what I really wanted. |

It's always nice to hear you're not the only one having trouble...... They gave me a survey the last time Origin "opened". Asked me if I would recommend it to others. I told them no, and why. Haven't heard anything back yet.  I said no beacause its a sack of shite then some groupie told me my comment was daft cause origin hasnt anything to do with Ea...i loled  |

The new origin finally got pushed to my gaming PC last night and now it crashes every time after log-in. LOL edit:  Breaking news! i can log in but my friends list crashes got a hot take for you, BSN: Origin is Bad. |

"You must be online when logging in for the first time"; "Online login is currently unavailable" It was probably because I chose to keep my origin updated whenever I would decide to do so. To actually update the origin and make it work I was forced to choose the first option, which would be "KEEP ORIGIN UPDATED AUTOMATICALLY". The question is: "why the faq would they give us any choice, if it didn't work at all?". I think I have had a deja vu

Ok I just logged in for some ME3MP rounds since, well since the old version (last time I logged was quite a few weeks ago) and it looks weird, it also has some connectivity issues apparently...
We'll see how I get along with this "new" version.

Kind of weird, after the initial stalls and freezes loading, the new Origin actually loads faster than the old one used to. Still not a fan of the new friends list organization though, and it'd have been nice if they had introduced the new layout more gradually instead of forcing it on everyone. Any time someone force-changes the way something looks, there's automatically going to be a bunch of reactive bitching. Maybe if they had first included the new theme as a highlighted option people could try out, but could switch back if they like, then a while later make the new theme the default but let people switch back still, before eventually making the new layout the mandatory option. It also could use a couple more color options besides just white. I get the feeling they honestly think they're trying to improve Origin over all, like for example with the recent removal of the friends list cap, it's just that they're so ham handed with their changes. Anyway I'm over my initial complaining, I was drunk and frustrated before and now I don't care, I just wanna kill some bad guys.

I envy you then mate! for me the crashes seem to be very heavy since the update before it the crashes were almost non-existent, randomly in game just minimizing and closing (including all origin related stuff as i said before) but also when in game the game really laggs out, so much everything freezes but you can still walk around until it crashes (happened when other people were hosting and before that i never seen that) Or this could be just my luck.. |

Mine originally seemed like it was freezing and locking up every time I launched it but then I let it sit there for a few minutes and it finally loaded into the login screen, then I had to do the same thing after the first time I logged in, everything took a while to initially load up but then it was fine after that, almost like it has some extra setup stuff it has to do even after it's installed. On the positive side, one other thing I found that seems to be working better than before is the Origin In-Game stuff. I used to have to pound shift+F1 over and over to get it to pop up but now it works every time. |
