the basics, System: Windows 7 Pro 64, nvidia GeForce 960 with 2GB, 8 GB RAM, AMD 4100 QuadCore 3,60 GHz

Mass Effect is installed with Origin. Mods, M.E.U.I.T.M, ME1Controller and SameSexRomance.
I have just startet ME, played the game from Countdown beginning to rescue Tali on Citadel until I could speak with Samesh Bhatia. Suddenly the game freezes and in the background appears a window with 'Mass Effect does not work'. I press Enter and I am back on the desktop.
Happily I made a save before I talked to Bhatia.

That is totally mean, I want to play ME like everyone else on PC. -.-

It persisted so I ended up uninstalling the mod, then reinstalling, and 2 playthroughs later it's never happened since.

I currently only have the s/s mod installed and have had no problems. So it's not that. Seems like MEUITM might be the culprit.

Did you guys do the ini file updates that are mentioned in the MEUTIM Readme/on the website?

I have been playing through ME1 three times with MEUTIM already and never had significant issue (maybe a CtD once or twice but nothing that required more than a restart).

Also, after changing the ini files, make sure to set the changed files to "read only" in the properties. Otherwise, the game tends to revert the .inis back to the originals if the game hasn't been started up for a while.

So it's worth reinstalling and seeing how it goes. Takes bloody ages tho.
