Charge, Energy drain (skilled for priming) and Annihilation with Explorer profile, Asari Sword, whatever gun, dosen't matter and fusion mod of rapid deployment. In NG+.
I'm unkillable and enemies die like flies. Since they nerfed the crap out of the Kett buffed almost all the gun/powers, Insanity has become a joke. It was a good patch for MP (still a little too extrme with the Kett nerfs for my taste), but NG+ seriously needs a higher difficulty. I feel like im playing on easy.

I've been playing insanity with Annihilation and Lance, which is amazingly powerful. And I keep flamethrower equipped for when I get into trouble.
I think I've only died once so far and I'm just finishing up Havarl.

I love using energy drain with a Vanguard setup. It's the same way I rolled Shepard. Constant shield regen ftw.

And with all the passives maxed shields are pretty much invincible (barrier with +40% shield for active biotic effect with Annihilation... OP) and damn, your profilbe pic. That one beautiful shot of Suvi.

Let's face it. You and me, we're too good.
I roll Infiltrator, Cloak/Energy Drain/Incinerate. Got a secondary three-power set of Cloak/Frag/Barricade for room clearing.
And let's freaking face it, I don't play on Insanity. The Kett play on Insanity.

I just finished playing insanity mode with the new patch and found it to be easier. I don't believe I used cover at all for the playthrough.

Yeah I'm not happy about enemy scaling being removed. I've had to reduce to level one gear and still no real challenge.

Charge/Nova/Backlash + Krogan Hammer + Piranha equipped with Seeker Plasma and the mod that auto reloads.
Is this easy mode ?

The only hard thing for me about Insanity was the section with the Twin and the beginning until I got my Dhan. They simply can't do a proper Insanity mode in ME. I just do it once for the Achievment.

I just finished playing insanity mode with the new patch and found it to be easier. I don't believe I used cover at all for the playthrough. I noticed the same. My low-level Adept felt far less squishy, as she was able to more effectively combo everything into oblivion. That save got bugged by the patch, though, so I'm currently using another of the "invincible" builds. Sentinel with Energy Drain barely ever needs to take cover. I've been using a Sentinel (Incinerate/Assault Turret/ED), and I've only taken damage 3 times this PT. (I'm presently 100% complete with Eos and Havarl.) The only reason I took any damage is that I recklessly tested my invincibility a few times. I've still not come close to danger. These were "scratches". It can get boring, but so far I'm simply enjoying the nonstop explosions and my Ghost. If I do get bored, I'll just swap into my Adept Favorite for a while. My architect-killer Favorite is Explorer (Turbocharge/TacCloak/Invasion). I also use it every time I'm in the fiend-pit on Tuchanka. Since specialized equipment isn't really needed to dominate Insanity, I've built generalist gear that I enjoy. Pathfinder Armor; X5 Ghost (still have my Hornets, too); Plasma-seeking Piranha for armored heavies; and a Biotic Amp. Everything is augmented for weapon or combo damage. I'm thinking of developing an angaran firaan, or electric firaan. I like fast-strike weapons, and the e-firaan likely primes for even more detonations.

Insanity is a joke for anyone who'd clocked enough hours in ME3 multiplayer.

I used charge, invasion and turbocharge on my run with a bioconverter piranha. With technical rounds and the team support healing perk from the tech trees. The damage output is ridiculous, fiends and behemoths just evaporate and survivability is a non factor. You can kill a gold fiend in about 7 seconds. I've seen people advocate turbo/cloak/ charge as the best dps build but invasion adds more overall dps to big enemies than the 2 second damage boost from cloak will do. Fiend meets turbocharge/invasion: That was on insanity. I was using anihilation there to try to crank up the debuff% as much as possible in that clip though, but charge is better in general than annihilation.

Im quite certain weapon damage values in multi and single are not the same. I am using turbocharge combined with cloak. Imagine Piranha with turbocharge's rof bonus combined with the tactical cloak damage bonus until it expires. One turbocharged clip brings down an insanity fiend to half health bar without any kind of extra ammo or debuff. So i'm quite certain there are other powers that are even more stronger. I just noticed someone posted a build with turbocharge and invasion. So i guess its time to try turbocharge tactical cloak with invasion

So, what you're telling me is that there are still balance issues with a single player game? Got it. Now I know that I'm staying away from this title, because until they finally address those issues, nuh-uh. *shaking head*

Insanity is a joke for anyone who'd clocked enough hours in ME3 multiplayer. Hmmm I played ME3MP for 300h, most of them Gold kicking ass. Playing MEA on Normal and die way too much... I'm still on patch 1.05 and how quickly enemies kill me even with 500 shields (I'm level 20 or something) is ridiculous. I roll charge/annihilation /lance or charge/nova/lance. Nova skilled for priming and lance has no cooldown. Normal feels like ME3 Gold. No idea what I do wrong. Remnants are super easy but lots of kett get to me. The thing that bugs me is never finding good cover for when my shields are down. Enemies are everywhere. Charge is still super buggy like in ME3. Constantly get the message that the target cannot be charged even if out in the open five feet away. I thought MEA would be a walk in the park for me. Heh.

Constantly get the message that the target cannot be charged even if out in the open five feet away. I thought MEA would be a walk in the park for me. Heh. You'll get better. Boosts from passive powers are incredibly powerful in this game. They are also very dependent upon the total skill points spent in their respective categories (Combat, Biotics and Tech). You're playing a high-risk build with no great number of passives maxed. Many of the others in the thread are probably playing "Level-90 Uber-build" with munchkin equipment. (BioConverter, for instance, is illogical and broken.) I'm not saying that Insanity is tough. It's not, once you learn the game. Still, it's much tougher than ME3, thankfully; and it can punish mistakes at low levels. Level 20 is still somewhat low-level, defensively. You're likely running with crap gear and all offensive powers. As your gear, passives and play-skill improve, you'll start stomping the game. Lastly, nice to see you in the ME forum. It seemed like we always haunted the same DAI threads.

I got exactly one fight which I hated on Insanity as of yet, that was one of the monoliths on Eos. Playing a "boring, but practical" build with VHS Avenger, Incinerate, Overload and Concussive Shot.
