The situation is:
* The scientists run experiments on people without their consent;
* I'm armed with two people loyal to me and no obligation to keep any exiles alive.
Is there any reason why I can't* just shoot the scientists (because their actions contradict my ethics and they are dangerous and hostile) or steal their research (might be useful) or send them to the Nexus to work on something (could be used to reverse the signal's original effect)?
*tried several times with Black Widow. No effect.

Yeah, could have been some more options to this scenario for sure. What I will say though, is after trying the different options, I will now choose to alter the signal to make the subjects lives more bearable. If you turn the signal on the scientists, the subjects are really no better off (I didn't check back on the subjects on 1st PT, but did in 2nd PT and felt bad).
Would liked to have had an option for SAM to study the system and find a solution to free the subjects, and potentially have found a way to use it against the Kett, or Fiends and Ascendants for that matter. |

I turned their experiment back on them both my PTs. That was after I did try to shoot them. I did feel bad for the one who were experimented on but I could not put them out of their misery either. This was one of those situations that no matter how hard I would try I couldn't help metagame knowing who Cerberus was and the harm they can do in the long run to the AI.

You hit hte nail on the head as to why I felt it hard to engage with this quest even before seeing how the options to resolve it are so unsatisfactory. They did a way better job with Bain Massani IMHO. |
