ME2 graphics still look good to this day No, they really don't. They are Xbox 360 graphics. I have to use texture mods to prevent my eyes from bleeding.

OP the Stockholm Syndrome is very strong with you. We've all been there haven't we. I thought I liked ME3 at some point too until I distance myself from it and look at it.
Sonic 06 is also an incredible game in my opinion. I actually played it yesterday. Radical Train, oof, what a good stage.

And? There are tons of fugly presents for all Bioware games. Look at the textures, not just the faces. The 360 simply couldn't handle much in the way of graphics.

I'd say they handled character models pretty well in ME2, even more so with main NPC's. Anyway, point is that there are many things about Andromeda that can make your eyes bleed. Also, I was trolling.

The graphics are better yes in ME A however there are barely any memorable faces, unlike ME 2 this goes for the asari in ME A they pretty much all have the same models for faces.

What was even the point of any of that? To prove a game released in 2017 has better texture resolution than a game released in 2010? Well duh.

Food analogy cometh! A ME2 dinner is one I make for myself. I go to the farmer's market (Omega), get my potatoes (Garrus), grab a handful of nice asparagus (Mordin). While there, I visit the local artists (the Batarian preacher and the vorcha), and grab a quick cup-o-coffee (Batarian bartender that poisons me). Then I jet down to international food store (prison ship), where I recruit some exotic spices (Jack). I decide to go to the meat market on campus, where the students learn to butcher meat (Okeer's lab) and I grab a beautiful side-o-beef (Grunt). Then, I realize that I need a new saucepan, so I run to the kitchen store (Citadel) and grab a nice one (Samara) and while there, get a new knife (Thane). Then, I decide I would rather steam the asparagus than roast it, so I jet on over to walmart to get a cheap steamer (Legion) to try it out. Then, I call a couple of friends (Tali, Miranda, and Jacob) and we drink wine and act silly and talk crap about our boss (the Illusive Man) while we prepare some food. I may decide to to marinate the beef, or I might sear it instead. I may peel the potatoes or go nuts and roast them with the skin on. I may add alot of spice, or temper it with some fresh herbs. Doesn't matter. The point is that there are many ways to approach these ingredients. It's not a five star meal, but it tastes good cause I invested my time and meager skills to get it just right. MEA is like one of those boxed meals that comes to your house. The box (Tempest) arrives and you have all your ingredients in there (the crew). They are all nicely packaged (2017 graphics), and the instructions are pretty clear...so I don't have to think too much. The ingredients are already cut and prepared the way they should be for the "perfect meal". This is a good thing, since I have been running around all day since the box arrived doing endless errands that had nothing to do with dinner (fetch quests). When I finally get home, exhausted after one of the most tedious and draining days ever, I follow the instructions, and make a nice meal that fits perfectly on my plate. No wine spills, no cut fingers, no burnt potatoes. Everything is timed meticulously and all my seasoning comes in little innocuous packages that I simply have to pour in. I eat alone while watching the news (endless politics of the Nexus). The food tastes better than anything I could have made on my own. But...it's just not as good. Now for breakfast...

MEA has a way smaller cast, yes. And, yes, they did not sculpt enough models to provide diversity of faces in the game. I definetly hope for that being an area where resources are diverted for the next game as the basic built already exists. Or we get a DLC that masks the absence of multiple models for each species, I.e lots of Quarians with recoloured facial shields.

I just didn't like the fact that they incorporated the group's of talking npcs that all look the same talking as you got in DAI I think it's lazy game developing but meh it's a minor issue for me .

Good post. You know you can deconstruct weapons to get the augmentations back and use them on better weapons, right? I agree that Vetra's loyalty mission and the whole thing about her sister was pretty meh. I enjoyed Drack's however. I wish there was two focused missions for each character instead of one. One mission that's more personal like MEA that ties into the overall world, and a second one that does more to advance the story with the Kett and Meridian. I've said it before that ME2 has better cohesion because most of the side quests, loyalty missions, and main story all contribute and progress towards the suicide mission. In MEA, all the side missions, loyalty misisons, etc contribute to the existing state of the helius cluster and the initiative's struggle to survive. I enjoyed MEA differently because it felt like multiple stories that somewhat intertwined, but it was ultimately about being the pathfinder and making sure the initiative has a home. The vaults, loyalty missions, random tangents, tasks for the anagara, establishing outposts, and stopping the Archon all contribute to the main plot which is finding a home. ME2 was much simpler in a way that a movie progresses. Everything progressed towards recruiting a team and stopping the collectors. It worked great. MEA is more like the game of thrones series where there are several stories going on that does a ton of world/lore building but we get small glimpses into them via Ryder. It won't be until a second game where they can have a more cohesive plot where everything comes together like it did when you beat the main campaign of MEA after 100% most of the side quests. I think for much more complicated MEA was, it ties it up nice in the end depending how the player progressed Thanks for the tip on augmentations, if I ever get back to MEA I will give it a try. Regarding loyalty quests, my biggest beef is that it seems like a forced copy & paste story mechanic they brought over from ME2. So I see it as very lazy game design. To explain my point better I would like to compare with the OT. In ME1 there are no loyalty missions, its all favors or 10 minute sidequests for 3 people on the squad due to their unique situation. In ME2 its all about the suicide mission and removing distractions or helping these people resolve issues or obtain closure. Its not a loyalty test to decide if you are going to be shot in the back. In the final game you were gathering assets so no loyalty missions per se, but you had some individual moments with your squaddies. In ME3 shooting beer cans with Garrus from the top of the Presidium was story appropriate and a result of progression across three games. But in MEA the rock climbing, bar fight or seed planting looked like a useless time sink to spend 1 on 1 with people I did not care about. This is not happening in a vacuum, it ties in with the very long load animations (unskippable and unmoddable) that you have to go through to get to those useless scenes (go to planet, land, go to badlands, drive nomad to spot...etc...f*** that) I feel like they just copied and pasted elements from the OT without trying to tell a new story and had no sense of how they would build these relationships up across multiple games. Everything about my squad seemed forced and contrived. In my first playthrough of ME1 I was really upset Wrex died. In ME2 I had no idea Wreav was a stand-in for Wrex. When I heard other people talking about meeting Wrex on Tuchanka, I actually went back and loaded ME1 again to keep Wrex alive. By comparison, if characters could die in MEA there are none that would replay the game to save. Cora is a close call, but I wouldnt redo a playthrough for her. Yeah, someone on the forums mentioned that it feels like the MEA writers were trying to give us the Citadel DLC in this game and I agree with that. The writers failed to realize that the Citadel works because we've spent two to three games with these characters and had many other moments with them which could cement the friendship or even hatred of a character. Before the Citadel we had arguments, stand offs, possible betrayals, comfort, facing down impossible odds, shooting contests, chasing down Saren, and surviving suicide missions. MEA is like having the Citadel DLC but with Traynor and Vega only. It just doesn't work even if I like those characters. MEA just tried way too hard to give players this 'happy family' vibe with these characters and it just didn't work out. It's like the only relationship you could really have with them is "friendship" because if they dislike you then they don't want to talk to you at all. It's not like the interaction you can have with Miranda, calling her a b*tch, jealous, and so on which can eventually lead to an impromptu kiss. Or calling Jack out. Arguing with Kaidan over Cerberus. The only companion who broke some of the 'happy family' vibe in MEA was Liam, but he just came across as an annoying d**k to everyone because most of these interactions came so out of the blue. You're just riding in the nomad and he begins pestering people and bringing up their personal family situations. Miranda and Jack had legit story reasons for their dislike as well as Legion and Tali. Wrex had his reasons for not getting along with Turians and Salarians. When Tali and Garrus hooked up, it seemed natural based on all the story evidence of Qaurians and Turians having an attraction and the whole Fleet and Flotilla thing. In MEA they tried to keep the Krogan anger going but it felt hollow as it was reduce to just "We hate Salarians". I loved Wrex despite my canon choice to betray him in ME3 because he at least considered all sides before he had enough and just wanted a real cure for his people. I liked that we got to spend more time with the companions in MEA but the game never provides you with the opportunity to define what type of relationship your Ryder has with them or what relationship they have with each other.

At the rate technology develops nowadays, it's really hard to hammer out a huge product like a complex video game while the graphics is still relevant. The old adage asks if you to pick two out of three: good, fast or cheap. But with the way tech is evolving, there is quite a limitation on slowing things down to keep the cost down while keeping quality acceptable.
