It's not about what it does on its own. It primes everything within its radius. You can cause a devastating wave of detonations off of one Singularity. With the Adept Profile, they'll each have an echo, as well. Best of all, the Singularity isn't ended by the detonation. You can do this multiple times per use. With the right evolutions and/or gear, the cooldown time becomes trivial. Out of curiosity, how low can you get the cooldown on singularity? I'm pretty early in the campaign so I don't have the skill points or augments to test it out. I'd have to load an optimized build and check. I'm away from my game, at the moment. With the Fusion Mod of Adrenaline, you can reduce it to zero. This Mod grants instant recharge whenever an enemy is killed. I've started going this route, rather than optimizing cooldowns in other ways. Still, I can point out a few items that help, until I get a chance to check a build. Obviously, you can choose cooldown reduction evolutions. This includes choosing passive skill evolutions that reduce cooldown. There are a ton of augmentation slots on equipment that reduce cooldown, if you choose to use them that way. Some Profiles also reduce cooldown, though I can't recall if biotics get such a perk. I got it to the point that Singularity was almost always active, offering crowd control and a huge zone of primed enemies. If it is on cooldown, briefly, I still had Pull and Throw/Lance to keep the combos coming.

My only concern is that it won't be great for boss fights, but that could be solved by having two weapons with different augments. If singularity can be active quickly enough anyway, though, I'd probably go that route due to innate laziness.

Ryder can pretty much become a Biotic God. That's how I feel, anyway lol. Though always thinking "Why the hell couldn't my biotic Shepard do that?!"

I think my new favorite is the pull throw combo mixed with singularity. There's a simple joy in picking up a few Kett, tossing them into another group of kett, then picking up an explosive canister, and blowing them all up with it.
