Patch status?

I'd suggest waiting until the first dlc is released. Patch 1.6 has released but still dealing with issues from the start. Also remember to save often because to get around the contagion crash. I had to go back about 30ish minutes of saves.

Also hopefully they also intend to still upgrade the cc options.

Still buggy as all get out. Wait longer.

There is no news on the next patch. Considering the time between 1.05 and 1.06, it will be, at best, a month, but it may take much longer now that the staff is downsized. I'm sure it will eventually come, but it won't be by the end of the month.

I, personally, would rather they fix the uncompleteable quests and other bugs, than add in even more romance options. And maybe find some way to mute SAM's repeative reminders in how to mine, I understand how to mine after the 1st time it was explained. The constant reminders that I'm entering /leaving a hazertious area, especially when fighting the architect on Voeld, is also annoying, I realize I'm not always in a safe area, but staying in a safe area isn't an option, so just having a text message flash would make doing quests on Voeld so much less annoying.

And yet I had game-stopping bugs in Skyrim and Fallout 4...guess we've all have different experiences. For context, I've only had one bug playing ME:A on XBox One on Drack's loyalty where the screen went nuts and everyone starting floating in mid-air in "T" but it gone after I rebooted.

I've thoroughly enjoyed my playthoughs (on my third one now), but as someone else suggested, if you've waited this long, you may as well wait for the first DLC release.  Because while I have enjoyed my time playing the game, I definitely can't say it is without flaws and bugs that may frustrate you at times.

On my current playthrough, there are two quests that have bugged out on me (Earn Your Badge; and Emergency S.O.S.).  I was able to complete both of these quests on my first two playthroughs.  But now they're suddenly not completing.  There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to the bugs...they just...happen.  I'm hoping that by the time the first DLC is released, everything will be working as it should.

I'd estimate that about 96% of the game is working fine, but if you're a completionist...wait for the bugs to be addressed before diving in.

On PC patch 1.06 did quite bit. Improved rendering was the big one for me.

I didn't have any game stopping bugs before the patch, but the improvement in the characters appearances was definitely appreciated.

You just need to have faith.

If I remember correctly Fallout 4 game breaking bugs were only on the PC. I know I managed to get up to around 3.5 days played before the area down by Bunker Hill crash was fixed.
