was this excellent feature from ME3 overlooked during the development of MEA.
Putting range in the game is common sense since the weapon system in MEA is complex.
Lorewise it's odd how Hyperion and the Nexus don't have ranges. How these guys supposed to train. Lend us a range on Aya if you must

I've thought the same thing. The Pathfinder HQ should have one, like Shepard's Spectre Office.
And, slightly off-topic: if anything, some augmentations (like the ones that change ammo type) need to be more specific in their descriptions on how they affect stats. Some seem to drastically reduce damage, and I shouldn't have to consult a fan made wiki to know this.

I don't know if Bioware is just overlooking the lack/inadequate documentation or intentionally wants players to work out some of the game mechanics for ourselves. I'm starting to believe the latter, based on MET and MEA. Maybe to create player dialogue in forums like this one and generate a "buzz" about the game?

Whoever did the writing for this game deserves to get fired

I've R&D a lot of weapons that I really wanted to see and fire before heading out on missions, especially that piece of crap grenade launcher mod. It was as if the grenade's were ice cubes and never, ever hit the target I wanted to hit. Even aiming well in front resulted in less than impressive results. A range is needed on the Tempest.

I agree that there should be a shooting range, perhaps with holographic targets we can track. I'd also integrate a research center and perhaps even a buy/sell kiosk there so we can switch up or buy new mods right there. I have so much building material and points added up that I could spend quite a lot of time fiddling around with new weapons and dismantling at my leisure.

Agree. Intuitive is not what the game is, that's for sure. Even things like strike missions, adding augments and mods, and R&D, isn't well explained. My buddy has been playing the game since launch was surprised that all of those exist in the game and are necessary to advance enough to face later missions. I was very happy to have watched a YouTube vid on the P.A.W. and the augment to change rounds to electric rounds. My level V P.A.W. is now my favorite weapon!!

If you just want to try different weapons/loadouts in your inventory, you can do that any forward station.

Oh my gosh, that was my first thought when I discovered the R&D. But I want to be able to try out mods/skills before I build them. Like some kind of holoprojector.
