I didn't vote because I've never used it in the sp campaign. You might get more input from the multiplayer forums since it's included in some kits. In singleplayer, it doesn't seem too useful tbh. Tactical Cloak is much more useful as a defensive/support skill; and Turbocharge is a better offensive skill.

I mostly used it in battles where there was very little cover. Useful and definitely saved my life a couple of times but those coverless battles were few and far in between. So I would rate it as Ok. Useful when it needs to be but sadly underused in my campaign.

Nope, even on my soldier Ryder I'd rather pick any of the other powers.

It shines in multiplayer but it's not a bad power. Instant cover can be handy depending on your playstyle and the buffs it gives are really nice, it can also stop creatures from attacking you in melee.

It serves a purpose but with all the possible power combinations available it isn't my first choice when assigning powers. Now, as a beginning of the game power it came in handy.

My one complaint is it doesn't last very.long. I agree. It would be much more VALHALLA if it lasted twice as long. As it is, it's a good emergency power to have. Caught in the open, guys opening up on you, Ryder is Squishy McSquishface? BARRICADE, SCREAM VALHALLA, KILL EVERYONE IN YOUR WAY!

One way to do it, though I usually favor the "Hey, guys, look, they don't even know we're here and we already killed three of them. Think it's because of how extremely far we are?" approach. Seriously, some patrols get half-wiped before they have a chance to react, AND I dropped the Isharay in favor of a VHS M-98 Widow! I shudder to imagine how easy stuff will be with my favored fighting style when I go Narrative, because that's going to be one HELL OF A GOD DAMN KETTWIPE.

They didn't intend for this game to be a cover shooter imo.

I prefer it in multiplayer. I use it on my Sentinel, especially during the extraction point of the match to defend against the final wave.

I rated it "Poor". Not necessarily because I think it sucks, but it's (in my opinion) rather underwhelming. Duration is too short for my taste, and with only 3 active powers available at any given time I frankly have better uses for those slots. If I need to avoid getting shot I much prefer to cloak, change position and ambush someone with a massive damage bonus.

It would be better if it had a cool down instead and the same cool down method as the turret.
It starts cooling down as soon as you deploy it. This could help compensate for its short life span.
I currently rated it as poor bc it doesn't last long and the amount we can carry is too low

I find it less useful in SP than MP. In MP it's really amazing. In SP, often I can find enough cover or I use backlash rather than park somewhere with barricade. For it to be most useful, you have to have it available IIRC because I think it gets the same cooldown on profile switch and the best time to use it is often not planned or predicted. Otherwise it's a wasted skill slot until you need it which at that point in my case, I would have to switch. Also, the places I might need it most are during encounters out on planets which is where getting power cells is a pain due to encounter locations not always having ammo. I run out of ammo during encounters often because I drive around and don't use the forward stations unless I need to get somewhere specific. If there was a way we could have that specific skill set to always be instantly available, then it would be great.

Should've been a cooldown power. It would be far more useful if it were.

I've only used it in MP on the human sentinel but I think it makes a good 1 point wonder. Just a really handy panic button.
The one downside is that you can't use it if an object is blocking part of its projected location. This seems a bit silly to me; the barricade should just be able to sit hard against the object.
