What is your favorite final sequence/mission in Mass Effect?
These can vary from when they start, but I will try to define them from the point of no return:
ME1: Dropping the mako on Illos to stop Saren from accessing the conduit
ME2: Entering the Omega Relay
ME3: Coming back to Earth with all of your war assets
MEA: Returning to Khi Tasira before gathering the Remnant Fleet
You can also account for dlc if you would like as this did affect the overall outcome. You can take into account story, presentation, level design, overall mission, boss, etc.
I ALLOWED FOR TWO CHOICES IN CASE YOU HAVE TWO FAVORITES THAT YOU JUST CANNOT CHOOSE BETWEEN GIVEN THERE ARE MANY FACTORS TO CONSIDER
Personally, this is kind of a tough choice when taking into account everything besides just isolating by story, final outcome, mission design. I love them all for their own strengths. ME3 is usually the most hated because of the final 10 minutes, but that space battle, running to the transporter beam, and the horror of all the human bodies. The lack of outcomes and an actual boss battle hold it back big time from ME2 though. ME2 has the most outcomes but those outcomes are just limited to who lives vs who dies. It's also on the smallest scale compared to any of the other games, the Human Reaper was an odd choice that doesn't fit well with the first or third games.
ME1 and MEA are very close to one another for me, but ultimately, I'm going with MEA. ME1 was awesome doing a risky suicide drop from the Normandy in the Mako, seeing an ancient prothean city, driving through all the stasis pods chasing Saren, meeting Vigil, blasting through the conduit to the citadel, having the big space battle against Sovereign. fighting outside in space on the citadel and fighting a reaper version of Saren after convincing him to stop/suicide.
But MEA still beats it for me overall. Getting lured into a trap and almost dying losing SAM, the main tool that helps you do almost anything, then realizing you have established a connection with the Remnant, fighting as Sara through the Hyperion to save Scott, then Scott raising an Army of Remnant, the epic space battle, diving into Meridian (ZOMG gorgeous), Dropping the Nomad and chasing the Archon with the most epic space battle taking place around you with all the choices and side content making a difference, Merdian underground is amazing, fighting the Behemoths or having Krogan allies, then having the Hyperion crashing which ups the stakes (we're fighting for our home), The Architect battle was still epic and having the entire squad show up in the physical fight was amazing, killing the archon was meh but his Hubris is what killed him like any indiana Jones villain so that was cool, Meridian going online bringing hope to Heleus, walking out with Bae, the epilogue although small in scale was emotionally perfect, reading all the emails in your Dad's quarters and listening to Liara's and your father's messages one last time was incredible, speaking to everyone was great too ending with a a great transition to the first dlc.
MEA ME1 ME2 ME3

1) MEA-It was exciting and fun and the epilogue felt earned and some of the e-mails from DA characters in Ryder's bedroom were funny.
2) ME3 w/The Extended Cut-It was a long ride to get there and regardless of how people felt about the endings it felt like an ending should.
3) ME2 You blow up a prototype Reaper and destroy the Collectors (and possible their base) playing it with Stan Bush's "The Touch" never gets old for me.
4) ME1 You can convince Saren to blow his brains out and then have to fight a cyborg made out of his skeleton. OK, but people who complain about space magic in the later games need to really think about this. Sorry but the fact that I can convince Saren to kill himself seems novel it's undercut by fighting his quick jumping and overheating shooting zombie/cyborg skeleton in a confined pit is space magic and is just as stupid as the rest of the endings. This is one is hurt by a dated even for it's time combat system.

I'd go with ME1 and ME2. ME3's ending suffers from a lack of war asset acknowledgement and MEA's felt inappropriate within the game's narrative.

ME2 and Adromeda are about equal, though 1 isn't far off either. It is just the permutations in 2 and Andromeda that give them the edge. I might put ME2 higher if only for the variation in the talk with TIM based on your party when deciding the fate of the base. But I need a few more shots at Andromeda since I didn't realise that awesomeness on my first few runs of ME2.

I enjoyed ME2 the most followed by ME1. MEA is ok and I can't even get myself to play through ME3 ending once we take care of Lang however if we pretend that is the final battle and then skip straight to the Citadel DLC then I would move 3 up to second place on my list.

ME2 and MEA get the highest marks for me, but ME2 only gets ahead by a nose because the actual end of that mission got a little stupid with both Contra-Reaper and the final decision. Had it not done that shit it would have been immensely better. ME1 is ranked third for me because while it has a really solid final mission, Hopper Saren is kinda crappy, though not crappy enough to totally take the wind out of it. ME3…well. The beginning of Priority: Earth looks so good, but then it's a long grind to a disheartening end. Still, none reach the height of DA:O's ending though

ME1 since it was the only slightly original ending, and it was great. ME2 ripped off Contra and ME3 was a cut/paste job of Deus Ex 1.
Oh, and MEA was alright I suppose but I was kinda just tuning most of it out by that point and just pushing through to get the game finished. ME1 is the only that that gave me goosebumps. Still does.

Gunna give it to MEA. ME1 was a bit... I dunno, staid. My favorite bit is actually blowing out the elevator. That's really cool. But it's hampered by ME1 combat and the stupid Saren-hopper fight. ME2, we all know, has a pretty cool ending. Probably the second best. Once you work out the tricks, it's not quite as exciting.... And speaking of stupid unnecessary boss fights.... ME3, well, at least there's no stupid boss fight. But instead there's an exposition dump and piles of confusion. Much better post-EC, but still incoherent.
MEA has what we wanted from 3 (people we helped showing up! People we helped running past! A big complicated fight!), and frankly, I'll forgive a lot for the "Everyone shows" aspect of the ending. And the boss fight's actually pretty cool. Though the Archon is a yutz, so there's that. Anyway, my point is that I really, really like the ending of Andromeda. It brings together things from all over the game, has a neat amount of variability, and seems to last the right length. Especially for a Bioware ending... Because bless Bioware's heart, but the endings of a Bioware game are usually more belly-flops than swan dives.
Of course, as I play it more, it may begin to annoy me. But I don't think so.

1. ME 2, I loved every minute of it. Would have been even better if I was forced to sacrifice some squadmates and the survivors carry over into a full game of ME3 with me. 2. ME 3 London was great. Everyone saying their goodbyes and preparing for the final push. 3. ME 1 Great but not better than 1 & 2 4. ME A Last because I believe the real ending will be a final DLC. What we have now is a Corypheus is dead, DAI type ending.

For that to work, it would have to be squad members that are guaranteed to live, which would probably just be Miranda, Garrus and Tali, leaving room for the others that were pretty much guaranteed to return, Liara and the VS, and of course our good friend Javik.

ME2 is still the best. You have the whole team with you and the outcome relies on what you learned about your team from the game. Even after playing it like 15 times I still get pumped when I start hearing that music.
MEA is my second favorite followed closely by ME1. ME1 has the better idea and the space battle is fantastic but I have to give the slight edge to MEA. The final sequence in MEA is frantic and intense; hacking the consoles while under fire from all the Remnant as your whole squad covers you is an amazing feeling. ME1 has great set pieces but the combat isn't quite as fun. I still love both though and always look forward to the end.
ME3 is sadly a distant fourth. I think it actually has the best space battle and had the most potential. But Priority: Earth is just flat. You don't see any allies during the fight and it lacks the frantic and intense pace that ME2 and MEA had. And the final sequence is just taking down a few banshees before firing rockets at a Destroyer, not even a dreadnaught Reaper. Then the whole Catalyst thing and well, ME3 takes a nasty tumble at the end.
I will grant that ME3 has some of the best emotional moments in the end game; seeing your allies at the FOB and saying good bye to all your squadmates is fantastic. And even the beam run is nice after the EC, that last good bye is amazing if your love interest is with you.
