Did anyone late last night catch the post on the MECoOp subreddit that linked to the full game text files? It's gone now, but someone combed the files and said that the DLC will include Quarians, Geth and Vorcha as playable characters. Anyone still have the link? Anyone still have the link? Is this the kind of thing that would be taken down with a Cease and Desist? Technically I guess it could be since the text is copyrighted. It would be unusual, though. Normally companies, EA included, only ban data-mined content on their own forums. It isn't worth the trouble. We have posted data-mined content before and never heard boo. |

It's possible that a Bio employee messaged the moderators of the subreddit and asked them to take it down, but that strikes me as pretty unlikely.
I don't see why the Vorcha of all races would come back, as far as we know none of them made the trip. They weren't mentioned in the dialogue at the end of the game, either.

Story, straight out of the air:
Quarian dont want to try to travel with Geth again, hire Vorcha for lower work and such.
Geth wanna visit the cool club too and launch their own ark. In the club Geth have a disagreement and split up in 2 factions.
Now you have all the "new" races there and explained and even the old/new Geht as a faction.

I wouldn't take that Reddit exchange for gospel. I have not personally seen any reference to any of the three races in the files at that link. I have not looked at all of them and I admit to not being sure what to look for outside of an obvious reference.
Anyone taking a look and confirming what the Redditors said?

Like the only place you'd find Batarians is in their home world, some imagination people! Earth was the second planet attacked by the Reapers and were the fight was the hardest, and we made it.

What the addition of those races would mostly mean to me is that my RNG results will be further diluted by character cards for more kits I'll never play instead of the weapons and mods I really, really want.

They Batarian got the full force of the Reaper army and not only that, the Hargemony put most if not all scientists onto the leviathan of dis which was a reaper. Since not only a portion of the group was indoctrinated making their army much weaker, their isolationism keeping them from having any sort of help, and being the FIRST Group to deal with the full might of the Reaper army, pretty much means that they're fucked. They didn't even last six months breh. Humans did not have it the "hardest" fight. Vorcha are vermin. Like anyone really wanted to invite them. |

Considering that we got to play as a Collector and fight the Collectors in ME3; I don't see why they can't include Batarians and or Vorcha (and other races) in mp. Cause apparently lore continuity goes out the window for mp.

Still if the devs really wanted the Geth there they could say the Quarians recreated them on the way over. There is already enough nonsensical logic that a little more won't hurt. Much.
I don't think there is much point in just adding more kits. They need new powers and passives to go along with them.

I dunno, according to the game, the Quarian Ark was designed to carry the Quarians, Drell, Hanar, Elcor, and Volus.
I could see Geth stowing away pretty easily, since they are really just data. Or maybe they were brought along for their help w/ the Initiative's mission, like the Nakmor who were invited onto the Nexus for having built the station.
I can't imagine anybody purposely inviting the Vorcha, though.

Vorcha lore is that they haven't "evolved" in millions of years, not changing as a collective genetic whole, instead having each individual adapt physically.
If they got to andromeda any time in the last hundred cycles they would still be essentially the same species.
