Mmm... Geth. Well, maybe the message we recieve from the Quarian ark is the fact that they were attacked by the Geth during the flight to Andromeda. But I still don't see whythe Vorcha is doing here. Or that the message was was sent when the Ark was still in Milky way space, after Shepard united the Quarians & Geth toghetter on Rannoch. So that means that the ark got attacked by Reapers and they decided to bring as many people as possible on the ark, so it would explain the Vorcha?

I call BS but I want to believe. As others have said the arks leave before Mass Effect 3 and presumably Arrival so the only issue with Batarians is the political situation. Although it is entirely possible the Initiative took political refugees, particularly if the Benefactor or others like him are Batarians - plenty of rich Batarians who dominate the black market.

Alternatively, the Batarian hegemony or a collective of rich Batarian benefactors who oppose their government seeking a better future but isolated politically might fund their own ark independently of the initiative and they might even take vorcha along with them for extra manpower.

The Geth monitor organics closely so they will be aware of the Initiative. It's possible they are already in Andromeda. As for motivation they were the first species to come into contact with Sovereign so they are well aware of the coming fire-storm and might consequently want to stow server farms aboard the ark ships to protect their future. The Geth could have done contract work with the Initiative in secret and smuggled server farms and geth mobile platforms into ark components.

I've been taking my time with the single player so I haven't heard this dialogue but at the start they say that the Quarian Ark was taking all the minor races from the original trilogy (although obviously not in the same numbers as the council races) and it was taking longer than expected to provide for the needs of so many races. The Quarian Ark was due to leave about one year after the main fleet. Not sure why a bunch of Krogan got to hitch a ride with the main fleet though.

They weren't about wrecking anything until Jarun Tann and Spender cut them loose on the Nexus resistance in exchange for a seat on the council (trying to save people from being slaughtered by the Nakmor is incidentally how Sloane Kelly was exiled, for being on the "wrong side" of the situation), which they then turned around and told the Nakmor to fuck right off afterward.

Which is why all of the Krogan left.
