Hello gents, as the title suggests, is this quest completable now? Reason i'm asking is i'm not starting a whole new game to find out :3 If it is then sure! ( I'm a complitionist, pisses me off having unfinished quest in my logs )
Oh and are there any other similar tasks/quest bugs that i should watch out for?

No, sadly Earn Your Badge is still broken. I've mostly skipped the tasks quests or at least the ones that don[t have quest markers attached to them. Oh and Emergency S.O.S is now fixed so its okay venture out in that direction now.

It will complete for male Ryder but not for female Ryder. The remnant part is still tricky though.

Ah, so that's what it is. I've had no trouble with Earn Your Badge but I've never played as Sara. |

OK ... that makes sense and matches my game play experience.
The quest completed for me each time when running the male Ryder, but failed for the female Ryder ...
I was looking conversation selection, patch evolution and when I started a specific run, but the real culprit was which Ryder I was running.
Wonder if I can go back, post patch 1.08 (if it actually addresses the bug) and have my female Ryder(s) complete the quest.

It's in the same place as the Salarian who gives you the UV light for the Herbal Entrepreneurs. I believe it is supposed to trigger by scanning a plant behind the stoned dudes in the SOS shack, or talking to the Turian doctor at the refuge (next to the guy who gives you the UV light). I also ran into a few on Voeld where you can complete all the required objectives, but they don't seem to be marked as complete, let alone show up in your journal. Even though the game says "current mission: A Frosty Reception" or some other ones like "Resistance Trap" if you hit Escape on PC (not sure what the button is on consoles to do so). So I don't know if you actually get credit for it or not. Both of them are triggered events. |
