I'm pretty sure rondeeno had to modify some dialogue because it wasn't voiced.  I can imagine them not bringing back in the VAs just for this purpose.  The exception is ME1, which was already voiced.  All that would have to be modified is some animations for the "romance" scene.  ME2 is an easier fix because it only has to make one minor change, which is the proper reference the email.  (Ashley/Femshep would use "woman" while Kaidan/Male Shep would use "man".)  ME3 is the most work.  Rondeeno had to modify some things for the hospital scene that were unvoiced, make sure they "remembered" they dated at their Apollo's date and then make them arm-in-arm on the red carpet (which should have been there regardless if romanced).

I don't think people want a re-release so much as a remaster.  A remaster could easily have all these things corrected.

I've played the romance mod for ME1 almost since it first came out. Prior to that it I used gender swap. Prior to that, in PTs that were strictly ME3, I used Gibbed Save Game Editor for ME3 to make it so Shepard was romancing Kaidan. I've played through everything your videos shown. Despite Mars, when Shepard first goes to the hospital there's already unvoiced dialogue. That's something rondeeno fixed (or will have fixed when the ME3 mod comes out - I've been using a test version). Second, the date at Apollo's acts as though there'd never been a prior relationship. That's another thing in need of fixing. Finally, a romanced Kaidan does not walk arm-in-arm down the red carpet with Shepard even though other LIs get that. Point is that a lot of things were "off" in ME3 even with a prior romance between them.

I used the console command initially and that transferred into ME2. I just hated being called "ma'am" or "princess" or being referred to as a woman in Kaidan's email in ME2.

I have the test mod that has Kaidan walking arm-in-arm with Shepard. I just haven't actually done the Citadel DLC yet.

That's why rondeeno is working so hard on this.  I suspected you had the mod since you asked for it.  I did also, after you did, and he got back to me right away.  Just waiting for the right moment, which is after Horizon/Sanctuary.

I'm almost done with my gay mod enhanced Kaidan romance in Mass Effect 3. I adore the date scene on the citadel, and the animation change in Citadel dlc is quite nice too. I highly recommend it to anyone playing on pc and m/m romancing our guy Kaidan!

I'm pretty sure you can.  Import it into ME2, fire up Gibbed's ME2 save game editor and "complete" pretty much everything that way.  At best, you might have to do the SM.  Then import that into ME3.  I'm not entirely sure that it's that simple but should work in theory.

OK, based on looking at it, you probably can't make decisions on every mission this way.  You can decide how many credits you accumulated, how many elements you collected (which  mattered importing from ME1 to ME2 but not sure it makes a difference in ME3) .  You can also set your level, your powers and what level they are at.  You can decide how many Paragon/Renegade points you have.  You can also set your End Game State to Lived to Fight another day.  (The alternative has you dead and so unable to import.)

Then import that game to ME3.  From there, you actually can make some plot decisions for ME2 (LotSB, Maelon's Data, Project Overlord, how you dealt with Jacob's father, etc.).  Now you've got a game that's essentially an import from ME1 to ME3.  It just requires a little work but a lot less than if you played ME2.

I started using Gibbed because I only wanted to play ME3 but hated the choices you'd get without an import.  This one allowed me to have a "previous" romance with Kaidan before that was an option.  I was already gender-swapping in ME1, which was acknowledged in ME2, but hated playing through ME2 without Kaidan.
