I also understand not posting on social media which is why I'm glad I ditched Facebook about 7 or 8 months ago. I don't want much in the way of pity from the large number of people I never have any interaction with otherwise. I did post on my Tumblr but got not reaction at all, which is likely because it's hard for people to know what to say. I read this post last night and still wasn't sure how to respond.

I think the best you can do now is stay in touch with your father as much as possible. You may not physically be able to be with him but you can still maintain that connection through other means. I think hearing his voice would probably be helpful.

I was bored this morning and saw this video in my feed and felt really identified with it. It really does explore why I like Kaidanmance. The relationship being more than an accumulation of banters, plot excitements and the big dramatic kiss; but the maintenance of the relationship. I like that she talk about how character facilitate relationship of another and inspire character development and being able to call on bullshit while being in a relationship (<-- this) and addressing the consequences which lead to mutually supportive and healthy relationship.

Never felt quite validated lol.

Hmm... so, I've had two (TWO) three-month long relationships where I lived with the other guy. It may not be as unusual as you think to have that "love at first sight" that fails to work out. But let's look at romances in ME. Liara wants to jump on you immediately but Kaidan and Ash spend time talking, getting to know each other, before even really flirting. We don't know the time span in ME1 but it wasn't until the end when they got together. Let's assume a month or two passed. Not that crazy.

Relationships themselves, when the time and effort is put in, can last a lifetime. That's the hook, what people are looking for. Sadly, there's too much, too fast these days (Guilty myself in times past) and the divorce rate is insanely high. Quantity does not equal quality.

Never mind. I've got it. That was the yellow armor, open so you could see his chest? Honestly, I found it on Pinterest.

So I just finished Mass Effect 3 with the romance mod & well there's not that much changes if you are used to use the old console thing to romance Kaidan in ME1.

Mainly the unvoiced dialogue are removed & the cs in the cabin is a little different.

The thing that disappointed me with this mod is when Kaidan & Shepard hold hands in the Citadel DLC: Mshep move with Fshep animation, it's so weird, it's like Mshep have a neurological disorder or something >.<

Also with that pt I played Omega DLC for the first time & well I really missed Kaidan + there is no dialogue about it when you come back in the Normandy, it's like this dlc never happened. I didn't really enjoyed Omega DLC overall, it so felt like it was a spin of or something. Other DLC are much more integrated in the story.

I also used Alot for the textures & I really recommand it, the game was gorgeous in 4k

Kaidan/Ash do share a somewhat similar arc, but personality wise they are completely different. I just wish Bioware wasn't so damn lazy with the Horizon arc. They both could have come off a lot better there. And agreed about Shepard. I like both genders, but prefer broshep a tad more.

The sticking point for me is when Shepard is trying to protect the Council/get Udina. Kaidan fails to use biotics because... Ashley doesn't have them and BW couldn't be bothered to make separate cut scenes for the both of them.
