I've fallen in love with this games infiltrator. The ability to see through walls with my black Widow which has 'armor piercing' rounds. They may think they are safe behind that rock...but they aren't. Head shot. Other than that i mix based on the situation.

Tactical cloak/vanguard charge/ flamethrower. With a krogan hammer.
It might not have the best numbers, but it's freaking hilarious.

I love to play the sneaky/stealthy sniper. Infiltrator it is. I'm using the Black Widow with Vintage Heat Sink, with the correct skills I have 3 shots, and never have to worry about ammo boxes. Aim, cloak, fire my three shots, Incinerate, Overload. Rinse and repeat. Being able to sit back and enjoy the sh*tstorm is one of the perks of that build. I ususally play snipers. All my Fallout characters (from FO3 onwards) are snipers, and the most fun I had in the original ME trilogy was as an Infiltrator Shep. I have to actually force myself to try other builds. My Scott is a Vanguard. It's... difficult. I've fallen in love with this games infiltrator. The ability to see through walls with my black Widow which has 'armor piercing' rounds. They may think they are safe behind that rock...but they aren't. Head shot. Other than that i mix based on the situation.
You guys sound like me. I have tried other profiles besides Infiltrator, but the "see through walls" ability is just too useful. I used the Sandstorm AR for the most part in my first game but it is basically a SR in practice, and I've used the Black Widow in the rest of my games. Once I'm done with my current game ("done" meaning, finish the Meridian quest; I still have a ton of side stuff left undone) then I plan on playing around a bit with biotic powers to get the rest of the achievements I need. But sniping is just way too fun in this game.

I snipe; snipe snipe snipe and try to clear mobs from as far away as possible before they even know I've got them in my sight. If you're far enough away the whole group doesn't react when guys drop dead one by one. But then once they have us, Drack and Cora wade in and clean up while I Biotic the crap out of anything they aren't paying attention to until I can reposition and snipe snipe snipe.
Snipe for the win!

sniping in this game just might be the best out of any game I've played.

The majority of the Mass Effect franchise was rather shit for sniping, because the maps were far too constrained and you basically had that one shooting lane to pick targets from a distance. In ME2 or 3, any enemy I picked off with a sniper rifle, I could probably get just as well with a Mattock or Harrier and not have to switch when others got closer, though at least 3 had some wider spaces to work with. ME1 was the only game in the trilogy where sniping actually mattered, and MEA, to me, is the only game since then where sniping actually mattered again.

Other favorite tactics of mine:
Out in the field i use an infiltrator with tac cloak, energy drain, and concussive shot. Usually with a valiant or Valkyrie. Just weave in and out of cloak flanking the enemy or just wreaking havoc.
If I'm.forced to defend a position usually a hack a soldier profile with trip mines, turbo charge, and flak cannon. Usually with a Valkyrie.
And on ships or enemy bases. An infiltrator with energy drain turbo Charge and concussive shot. Valk or valiant.

I favour High-Risk, High-Reward characters. Charge in, ask questions later. That's why the Vanguard is one of my favourite classes of all time.
But this isn't how I play all RPGs. In Vampire:TM, Alpha Protocol or Deus Ex, I really enjoy the sneakers who can hack things without killing anyone. Because finishing an RPG without killing anyone is a different kind of challange!
In MMORPGs however I play the Supporters, no matter if PvE or PvP. Keeping everyone alive and staying alive through everything is also a different kind of challange.
I guess, I just try to challange myself in every RPG and I don't have a single playstyle, when I think about it.

I prefer a melee infiltrator - activating Tactical Cloak and facestabbing the nearest opponent until it dies (~3 hits with a firaan for a Chosen). And Black Widow for flying enemies (Architects, Observers and Ascendants). Probably not the wisest tactical solution, but it's fun and works well on Expert.

I use that vision to send my remnant VI behind closed doors, though some times it teleports itself through the doors, for some reason the kett are too stupid to open doors, so I just let the VI soften them up before going in.

You come across a mob, just silently sneak into their midst then send them all flying by surprise.

Combos. Fire combos, biotic combos, electric combos. It doesn't matter, as long as it's combos.

I've been an Adept the whole game, with Throw, Pull and Singularity. SO much fun just ragdolling everyone, throwing enemies into each other. Sometimes I'll just Pull a guy and hold him there while Drak and Vetra shoot him. And all the biotic explosions with the singularity. Can pop one off in a group of like 5 enemies, use double throw on it, THEN close it which causes another biotic explosion and kill everyone without having to use a shot. Omg it's so much fun lol, haven't switched skills or profiles at all, 90 hours in... >___>

I played Infiltator in the original series, but since this game got rid of the power wheel and teammate control, it's more difficult to be strategic. I may as well run and gun. My main playthrough is a vanguard.

It's even better because I can pick up a couple of enemies at a time, and sometimes I'll even get an explosive canister among them, so when I throw everything it all goes boom.

Are we talking in regards to the endless debates on this forum?... If so I tend to alternate, sometimes I take the infiltrator approach, but sometimes you just gotta vanguard! I'm patient enough to wait out the other side...
