For those not following Andromeda's semi-regular multiplayer events, these missions include small lumps of new story following investigations into the kett and Remnant enemies.
The latest mission involves a Remnant observatory, which has collected transmission data from what sounds like the quarian ark:
ANALYSIS: "...trying to boost the signal. Unknown if... tech seems to be helping even if we don't know the... back to Keelah Si'yah. ...way home."
But there's no knowing yet whether this tease will materialise into something more - quarian ark single-player DLC, as fans hope, or playable quarians in the game's multiplayer mode, or just a loose thread left hanging.

Not surprised at all. The Quarian DLC was most likely already far in development while the main game got released. I never thought they would cancel that one. The other two on the other hand, those will either depend on how well the first one sells or they're already got cancelled for good.

I am so happy to get even the hint of the news! I am hoping that the July 31st 2017 date is as accurate as the March 21 2017 was. Ah, BioWARE,  ya. Hopefully we are done with the whole baptism by fire stage, and can now jubilantly enjoy the game. |

I like the way they're weaving the main story into the MP. It's a good reason for those who generally won't do any MP to dip their toes in while providing a hook for those do both.

I can't speak for everyone generally not doing MP, but in my case they'd have to pay me to dip my toes into it. Certainly not the horde mode that is ME MP. |

Aside from the excitement for a great DLC AND QUARIANS, when the DLC is released it will be nice for all of us fans who didn't believe and shot down the trash talk about MEA being dead or permanently on hiatus. It will probably sell like crazy too. I bet it will help them more in the long run.

I'm not big into MP, but I am compelled to do MP if it benefits me in SP mode. You do a few of these missions and you're given some sort of veteran status where single player powers or some assets wouldn't normally be available. |

Why would they review multiplayer DLC? That's what EA and Bioware will try and milk moving forwards. There's a chance they already had a near finished SP DLC at release. I was kind of surprised that MEA didn't come with a day one DLC. Other than that, I'm pretty sure you're right. It's their policy not to sell season passes, but MP is just creating some maps to cash in on microtransactions. |
