Still can't get 60fps on this game at 4k. I am on the hyperion and it feels choppy around 40 or so lol. Other games these cards eat alive.
Asus Strix OC models. Cards are nice and cool too and I only run them on air with an aggressive fan curve (don't care about the noise).
Any ideas please?
Thank you! I am using the latest Nvidia drivers 382.33
Edit Reason: i7-6700k at 4.5ghz also so that shouldn't be a bottleneck.

What's the big deal with 4k, anyway?
Eh, better question, what size (physical) monitors are there for 4k, anyway?

Mine is a 28 inch Asus one. Dunno if my new graphics cards are faulty. My 1080's worked fine.

Why not 4 Titan Xp? Try to disable SLI?, use one GPU, also MEA doesn't like OC, use default clocks for MEA. Check the scaling settings in the game, maybe you have resolution scaling above 1.00?

This is why I'm just waiting for a single card that can 4k no sweat. I see folks have nothing but problems with SLI.

First a single 1080ti isn't even enough to do 4K at 60fps. Second the game isn't Sli friendly. Most games aren't unless stated.

Do you have your Nvidia control panel power management mode set to "prefer maximum performance"?

I'm still pulling 1080p, man. I was thinking of getting a 1080ti for 1080p at 75fps, ultra, but I'm not entirely sure if it's worth the drop yet.
I get 60fps right now at 1080p on high settings with my 970.

I get 60fps right now at 1080p on high settings with my 970. I'm using 2x 1080ti's in SLI with 144hz 1440p Asus monitor. I average around 110fps on nearly every planet. But onboard the Tempest the fps goes up and down like a yoyo. That area of the game is so badly optimised. Recently windows 10 got updated to the Creators Update. That caused game dvr in the Xbox app to automatically turn back on. Which was halfing my frame rates almost. Had to switch it off. Also Creators Update added Game Mode which also has its own DVR for streaming. That too turned itself on by default so I had to switch that off too before I started getting the frame rates I should have had. I'm playing on Ultra graphics settings btw

Easy, current gen GFX arent ready for 4k gaming yet, in any GFX heavy (or unoptimized) games. Even the almighty 1080 Ti. When I bought a 980 Ti, and shortly after, a ROG PG279Q (1440p), I was left with a weird taste in my mouth, as it ran about the same/a tidbit better than before my upgrade. Which left me with a GFX that couldn't max everything out on 1440p and run satisfactory. I actually just bought a 1080 Ti a few days ago, to alleviate that - and I can say the 1080 Ti, is a 1440p gaming card, at best - if you want it to be buttery smooth. And SLI sucks major dick - microstuttering + it's throwing money at very variable increases. From my eperience, there wont be any true 4k worthy single cards before two generations or so. AMDs Vega won't do it - best will be around 1080 Ti give or take a little. Volta most likely will get close-ish, but still wont do it, if they follow same pattern. That leaves Navi, and whatever the name is for Volta's successor to pick it up. This is all based on speculation though, but if you're sitting with a 4k monitor, expect having to turn settings down some, for dem 60+ FPS, even on a 1080 Ti. Also, once next gen consoles gets out, there's gonna be a bump in the quality/demand of GFX in future titles too - further cementing 4 as "hard to achieve properly". Wondering if true DX12 and Vulkan can help that, once devs actually start making it the norm. DX11 should be long buried imo.

Check to ensure that the game is set to "Performance Mode" in the display options. This toggle only appears when you are running SLI or CrossFire, and it's designed to mitigate framerate and microstutter issues when using multiple GPUs. Make sure that both cards and the SLI bridge are fully seated. Also, consider disabling one of the GPUs and running the game off of a single card to see if there's any change in performance. Do this for each one, as one of the cards may be defective and causing issues. According to this benchmark, a single Strix 1080 Ti should be averaging around 72 FPS while consistently staying at or above 60 @ 4k/Ultra.

Game runs much smoother with SLI disabled!? Wow this is stupid. I wonder what the problem is. I do get 100fps on the witcher 3 max settings with hairworks on at 4k.

The "problem" is that you didn't inform yourself about SLI/CF.
Also this is not era of PC exclusives. That was long time ago.

This game has many difficulties with SLI or Crossfire. It is simply not well supported. So if you bought those 2 cards for this game you are scr*w*d. This is the drawback of SLI/crossfire, make sure your game is supported first.

But Nvidia released a profile or driver didn't they pretty much on release day or was it before release day I don't know. I don't know because i'm not interested in SLI/CF setups. But i do know from earlier times that these setups don't work with every game. In some cases even if they work, your second card is not 100% utilized.

SLI is bait for people with more money than....
In MY opinion, you only SLI nearing the end of your current single GPU's life, when the cost has come down so much for a second matching card that it is actually cost-effective as a stopgap until you can afford the new better single GPU.
That said, my 970gtx still chews up everything at 1080p, and I don't play video games just for stupefying graphics. I mostly play them for immersion, and while great graphics can improve immersion, by themselves they can destroy it if all other areas are lacking comparitively.

SLI is completely fucked in ME:A. The game runs much better on 1 card and is not well optimized in some areas at all. (I'm looking at you, planet Havarl and your ship, the Tempest. ) That being said... ...I recently upgraded to a single Aorus 1080 Ti (non Extreme) from 2 reference 980 Tis in SLI. Now ME:A never dips below 80 fps, averages around ~120,and maxes out around ~200 fps whereas before SLI enabled turned the game into a stuttery mess and SLI disabled it had a minimum of 40 fps, averaged ~80 fps, and maxed out at ~130 fps albeit smooth on my old SLI (1 card disabled) setup. This is all at 1080p 240Hz G-Sync, all settings maxed, mind you. In my experience, SLI support is only getting worse. Less and less games support it at launch and Even fewer ever support it after launch, if ever at all. Out of all of the SLI-compatible games I have played recently, only BF1 cooperated well with SLI and gives ~90% scaling. In my opinion, SLI is not worth the 100% increase in cost with the always less the 100% increase in performance and it seems like it is no longer a priority for Nvidia. SLI profiles are nearly always broken out of the gate. A single card reins supreme, especially when considering the plague of microstutter that cripples mGPU systems Red or Green.

Animation is animation, anything past 1080 is absolutely unnecessary... now, a constant 60 fps... that's a thing of beauty. Which is why I play on 1080 resolution with my 1080ti.
