I actually do not miss either zzizzjizzbizzkitt or the sound of vagina dentata being furiously ground together because I'm usually the host due to awesome bandwidth due to job, and both of them invariably were pains in the assess for krogan for completely different reasons.

Phantoms were so OP that most things were based around them.
Phantoms: -75/85% damage reduction on host for non projectile weapons and 0 cooldown on her dodge -1000 dps from hand cannon -An instantaneous sword attack that can kill almost everything in one combo and had broken range -if you have no dodge or no stagger weapons/power and one staggers you, you're dead! -1000N force to stagger them, biotic charge and havoc strike needed buffs for that -Can break out of stagger and sync kill you -Immune to projectile powers, will dodge or block them
The one thing I miss about them was shooting their head off with a javelin but that's about it. They limited choice too much if you actually wanted a reasonable way to deal with them without using an acolyte, falcon, venom, scorpion.... on host.

Biotic god made them smell greatness I think their comparative rarity in a wave spawn made them more special too. Nemesis are pretty much sharpshooters, so no missing there.

I just checked it's always been 1000N on gold and platinum. I remember doing a platinum solo with the geth pulse rifle with a turian soldier without concussive shot. It took about 2 minutes to kill a phantom with that, one reason why I never hosted. They would be fine without BS on host DR and if their dodge actually had a cooldown.

Ugh to their phase disruptor. And people think raider avenger fire is cheap.
The most important strategy of "tanking" platinum (jugg using melee plus reegar-inc cheese, while buddy hid in my britches on random dps kit) was grabbing phantoms first. The second most strategy was calling for a rocket when nobody was attacking praetorians enough to stagger them periodically. The third was intercepting banshees and unloading a reegar clip into them.

Krogan Charge, Krogan and Asari Tech armor detonation , Batarian Charge and Phoenix Lash were all specifically buffed to go over 1000N when combined with *Training for this very reason. Their sword slash was also divided into three auto chained attacks to specifically ignore both shield and health gating, and their dodge added 90% DR to their already 90% Bubble and above 30 frames this always took priority unless the damage that hit them was either a true non-hit-scan projectile or melee with inherent DR and sufficient force to cause stagger/ragdoll. You haven't the faintest. Yep, and they never found a way to fix it.

Ah, I played on 360 so never got above 30 frames. That must be why I never had much issue with them. That and I just knew how to counter the 1 dodge that they did for me; If I had projectile powers I'd shoot until she dodged, then in her animation use the projectile power. That seemed to work for me. When I tried for my 1st plat solo I got so annoyed with charging the Acolyte that I switched to Adas with Disrupt IV after a couple attempts. First try with that was a win. Got a much higher respect for that gun after that

Phantoms were genuinely terrifying from any range. Their power bubble was annoying, but manageable. That palm-blaster was death tho. The only problem was the DR bug... made hosting against them frustrating. I could also locate them in the field from their chatter. Something that's missing in this game. She had OP abilities but also had vulnarabilites... stasis, headshots, acolyte, and a telegraphed sync kill. They also weren't armored, had a biotic barrier (something entiring missing from this game along with warp and stasis) Really why they were so much better than anything in ME:A is because they are formidable apponents WITHOUT BEING BULLET SPONGES. Imagine that. The most satisfying sound in me3mp was 1-shotting a Phantom with a BW or Javelin Plus phantoms had dat ass
