Lets reminisce

1. January 2015.

2. Saarebas. Itwa is so much fun.

3. Has to be the Druffy weekend when I wondered what the hell was going on after getting mauled in zone 1. Took a lot of games to even reach zone 4. Overall a great time was had and a great event.

4. Could actually be burnout from the same Druffy event BUT ...Halloween with all the damn spiders wins it. I didnt know until the Monday that if you played routine EVERY enemy was a spider. Gutted.

5. I remember when I thought I was already pretty decent at the game and meeting SolitudeNL. We played a really great match on NM FC. In zone 4 I sent him a message saying we were doing really well to which he replied "Meh, It's only Nightmare". Blew my mind at the time. Class.

6. When Saarebas was released. Telling my regular teammates, and a few others, that my Curse ability was glitched as I couldn't get it to work. DAYS later....I find it's only the finisher that drained massive HP. Felt really foolish lol

7. Oh, I suppose it would have to be seeing a mage spam 'Over here'.....at a mage door

8. Back when I played with Tonyrobo and Flyingch0pstix I had way more willpower than them, so they decided to have a little fun with me when I was playing Legionnaire. Everything I ran towards would magically melt just before I got to it. This would happen for a while until I heard on the mic "It's ok, I'll let you have this one". So I get right up to the enemy and I hear "Whoops, I lied" and the two of them burst out laughing. They did it the entire game. Brings you back down to earth. Miss them. Good times.

For my story (and a noob mistake) my brother and I were playing early on. We were fighting dark spawn in zone 5 and had just about killed the alpha emissary. Suddenly it threw its arms wide and started doing some strange red lightning thing. My brother and I were like, 'what the hell?' so we both went right up to it and were watching it. 'What do you think that is?'.. 'No idea what....' And then we both died in the explosion and lost the match..

No, he didn't play long. Name was Trylak. I bought him the game before I really knew what multiplayer was. I thought it would be the campaign in multi-mode.

February, 2015

2. Favourite character and why?

Necromancer, number 1 with a bullet. How do you not love characters who can make enemy mobs explode like popcorn? Plus, that snotty attitude. Her interactions with other characters are hilarious.

3. Favourite weekend event? & 4. Worst weekend event?

Hard to remember. There was an undead challenge that was fun. Bring on the Revenants!

5. Best player you have played with and why?

Too many to count. A lot of the people on this board are my favourites to play with.

6. Biggest noob mistake you have made?

It took me forever to learn to not kill the Qunari defenders (?) when their shield is glowing blue. Ouch. Ouch. And ouch again.

7. Biggest noob moment you have seen?

I played with a squishy alchemist who insisted on running off ahead to lay mines and ended up dying. Every. Single. Time. Multiple matches. Despite my and Ivory's pleas to stay with the group for some protection.

8. Any stories to share about anything?

Always laughed when playing with Micabo. That slow, dry, sarcastic drawl slays me every time. My first game with him was a PUG on Perilous. I was feeling pretty cocky with my level 15 weapons and stats at about 15/20/30. He stayed back at the door, saying "Man, you guys are good. Like, you are seriously awesome. I'm just going to stay back here and let you handle things," and I thought he was serious. Meanwhile, he probably could have solo'ed NM at that point. Great trolling

I was so tired when I saw this, I misread 6 and 7 as something else... how the mind wanders 

1)January, 2016. Had played a couple weeks prior on PS3, but didn't start playing consistently until I got the PS4 version

2)Changed this around, but I would say as of recently my favorite character has been Lightning Pact Belt Keeper. She hits hard, has great banter, and Static Cage is fun to use on teleport/mobile enemies like those rollerskating rogues.

3)Barely remember those. Unfortunately, I wasn't around for Halloween weekend, that would have been epic. I suppose I was happy about the double xp weekend events

5)Lets define 'best.' Mr. Smurf, you do have like 2600 willpower, I dare say thats the highest I have been lucky enough to game with. As far as overall skill/analysis, smart playing, have definitely been around a lot of experienced players. Certain people pick up on a lot of skills/passives, things that work and things that don't. I think the person I learned the most from and probably heard the most from would be Ophaus.

6)Got all emo on a group of people I sort of knew because I joined lobby on nightmare regular map, had 2 mage doors(my character-arcane warrior), cleared the first with a boss and got the pots and chest, then went for the freebie and got zone pulled right when I popped the chest but didn't get to loot. I finished the run but was a bit upset about it and messaged them to tell em my feelings. I then learned they were in a private party chat. Funny now, embarassing then.

7)I have just seen so much. Round 1 perilous less than 1 minute and a player dies 3 times to the fade. The unintentional gong ring when jumping(X) on fereldan is always pretty funny. I get a kick out of all the noob moments I get to encounter with random people. I don't take the game too seriously anymore, but I am a door/pot nazi. Constantly playing pickup gold while 3 new players try to Rambro the zone.

Loooooooooonng time ago.... I remember taking a screenshot and sending it to a friend to show how bugged the game was that my character had lost all colour and was completely grey....

1. Month and year you started playing?

Pretty much at the start, but I took a few months break and came back and stayed for at least month after the Saarebas released.

2. Favourite character and why?

Katari because of Guard on Hit and his skill set. Even before the Guard on Hit bonus given to him, I still liked the guy. First one I got to 250 games played.

3. Favourite weekend event?

1st week Varrics Book

4. Worst weekend event?

Second week Varric's Book (a lot of work with little payoff for vets)

5. Best player you have played with and why?

I'd probably say it was Proto. Just a generally great player from what I've seen in the few matches I played with him.

6. Biggest noob mistake you have made?

Tried to see how far I'd get with a hunter solo on Heartbreaker...with a prestige level of sub 700.

7. Biggest noob moment you have seen?

When Medallian said he didn't know how class combos worked, even though he had to of spent at least 2000 hours in the game when he made that comment.

8. Any stories to share about anything?

I think the best story I can recall is when me and my friends were playing against the Darkspawn; I was playing Isabella. We got to the Emissary, but he ended up killing two of my teammates outright, and it was just me and one of my other friends left. He goes down, and I'm basically trying to hide from the Emissary (who's at less than a quarter health). I signal my buddy to crawl towards me so I can help him get up, but right as I do, the Emissary downs him again. At first I'm thinking, "we're fucked," but then I saw a red aura around my character and remembered I took the passive that gives me double damage when an ally goes down. So I used that one skill she has where she deals increased damage against unaware enemies, took a massive chunk of his health away, and finished him off with a few more swipes. It was a very exhilarating match.
