It's the Remnant SMG with the shots that dissipate a short distance away.
I have read that some of the advanced augments make range shorter, but I wonder if instead it is setting it to a preset value that might be longer than the equalizer's default.

I was interested in making this weapon. Good to know that this is how it behaves. I might try putting one of my spare seeking plasma rounds augment on it to see if that makes a difference in its range.

In my experience, Seeking Plasma and Sticky Grenade make it shoot for a normal distance. I use Stickies since they are pretty much hitscan (and AoE) while Plasma takes it's sweet time to hit anything. The problem both of these augs share is that damage is delayed, so you often will overshoot or undershoot enemies in terms of HP left.

Just reaches a certain point and stops doing damage altogether. Maybe like... four or five nomads away, parked end to end? Long enough for the scattered outlaw and kett camps.

I'll have to try a vanilla version to see how I like it. I made one with the seeking rounds and it's good, but the PAW is vastly superior with that augment. I am curious about that shotgun. It looks underwhelming in the stats. I'm curious to see what people think of that weapon.
