Was playing more multiplayer or doing testing things so this run played through several versions of the game. Feels like they must have toned down enemies quite a bit from where it was. Don't know if they buffed squadmates, but they seemed to be a lot more durable especially considering that they had been maxed like 40 levels before. I had skipped the Architects because I originally wasn't going to bother (main goal was Cryptographer achievement), and it seemed a little strange how fast I could kill them and how little damage my squad seemed to take from them, even with minimal micro.
I had actually also started a new game before finishing this one just to play through to a Strike Team terminal so I could dump all the rewards I had accumulated, and even there the squad seemed a whole lot more durable, as did my Engineer. They must have nerfed enemy damage across the board, or at least it feels like they did.
Oh and the other thing I find strange is that it seems the Nexus level and Cryo Pod points are more generous than they need to be. I have a lot of spare points and as far as I can no more perks to spend them on.

Do enemies get any tougher as you level up?
I haven't played the SP that much, I am still at level 34. But from what I can tell, there is no visible enemies' adjustment to Ryder's progress. The game just gets easier and easier.
