Some people really overestimate what internet haters can actually do. It will be sales numbers and the microtransations money that will determine how sucessfull the series is for Bioware/EA, not some morons and their bogus accounts. Doesn't stop them from thinking that they killed the franchise |

 As it should be. As far as who does ME belong to? Well Bioware of course, its their creation, their story. They can do whatever the hell they want with it. Doesn't mean players have to like it. All we can do is decide whether or not to fork money over for it. well this new direction andromeda is going is clearly pandering to a new crowd... if that crowd forks out the money than goodbye to the type of ME people like you and I want. Yeah, I would be disappointed, sure. That's the way business works though. If their pandering causes them to lose enough money they'll stop doing it. If not they'll keep doing it and someone else will fill the void they vacated. Best thing folks can do is vote with their wallets. Feedback on forums, twitter, etc. is all well and good and can help provide context for the developers but ultimately the $$$ is what they are going to listen to. |

Its curious that someone can say this game feels like it's pandering to a new crowd when one of the most common complaints it's just a retread...
That said do you truly think most of the people who loved the game are brand new to the series? Or love the game yet hate the OT? I can't speak for everyone but i certainly do love the ot...in spite of all its flaws.

What is shitpost OP. It likely still belongs to Bioware. EA owns Bioware, so it likely indirectly belongs to them. (Some of it would depend on the what the specifics of the buyout were). It doesn't "belong" to the fan base. We each license the use of the ME games we've bought from EA/Bioware. Our rights are clearly defined in the terms of use.

You're gonna go all 4chan on me now because I asked a philosophical question? I'm just curious about the direction of the franchise... the blowback has EAware probably questioning the future direction of this franchise. As many hated the way the OT went out it's clear people still care about ME. But, now that the OT is ancient history and out of the picture we have Andromeda to mull over.. which attempted to be a drastic departure from the first 3 games. So financial success aside it's created a huge divide between those that care about the creative side of the series. |
